Beautiful California/Spanish home with lots of tile, custom-made lap pool with a waterfall spa, quartzite and tumbled marble deck, enclosed backyard with patio and pool, charming and comfortable throughout with excellent kitchen, great cookware, and plenty of counter space and easy access from kitchen to dining areas and outside patio through the sliding glass doors that open to the pool.

This home has a Mediterranean feel and is only a few minutes from downtown Palm Springs which offers a variety of entertainment, casino, theatres, movies, great restaurants, and a ten-minute ride to a tram way that goes up to the mountains and gives a spectacular view of the entire valley. We are also a close drive to the famous Joshua Tree Park, a wonderful nature desert preserve for hiking rock climbing or just taking a beautiful drive or going for a picnic in the spectacular outdoors.

This house is wonderfully cared for, has a security gate for off-street parking, is located in a quiet neighborhood in the desirable southeast section of Palm Springs only a mile to downtown. The rates are extraordinarily fair - an exceptionally good value and discounts will be given for longer stays.

There is a 32-inch TV with DVD and VCR in the living room and another TV and stereo in the breakfast room. In the living room there is a comfortable mission recliner that even a big man can sit back and enjoy watching his favorite programs right near the cozy fireplace.

The weather in winter is internationally known for its warmth and comfort - great for golf and hiking and just taking a stroll or using the wonderful custom pool and spa right in your own backyard. In complement to the relaxing spa and pool, there is an outdoor hot-and-cold shower as well as access to the guest bath from outside. This house is a delight.

This review concerns our vacation stay in Palm Springs. We were there for two weeks.

We wanted to leave our cold, wet weather and enjoy sunshine and mild climate for our vacation and my birthday. Couldn't have been a better choice. The house is close to town and several hiking trails. Three of the trails we like are within easy walking distance from the

house. Out of the 14 days we were there we hiked 9.

Town is an easy walk from the house also. Our car was inside the gated driveway whenever we were out. The house is very nice. We would have our morning coffee on the beautiful landscaped front patio. In the afternoons and evenings we took advantage of the covered rear patio, pool and spa. The spa really was nice after a day of hiking. The pool itself was the perfect length to do swimming laps. We don't normally cook while on vacation but when we did the kitchen was well stocked with lots of counter space. I loved the extensive tile work. With 3 bedrooms, 2 eating areas and a spacious living room inside, there is more than enough room for a larger family. The landlord/Host was a pleasure to work with. There was a nice welcome basket on the main dining table when we arrived. He gave us some excellent advice on where to eat out. We stayed with downtown eating establishments as there are plenty and we liked to walk. Lulu's was a favorite for a nice dinner, Tyler's was a quaint local hangout for an old fashioned hamburger and milkshake. Of course the best place in town for a milkshake is the Great Shake downtown. It comes garnished with a mini doughnut, oreo cookie and whipped cream on top.

We were pampered by the landlord but given lots of privacy. The 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms were well stocked and clean as was the rest of the house. We would have extended our stay had it not been already booked though Thanksgiving.

The house is in an upscale neighborhood and away from the busy streets. The neighbors were so quiet we couldn't tell if they were home or not.

This will be our first choice for our return trips to Palm Springs. We give this house a five star rating and the owner, Jeffery a five star rating also.

Good Value Great Loction

The owner was very helpful in supporting our reservation, deposits and agreements were very well managed and timely. The Accommodation was as presented, great location for an exciting week with a 5 year old who loves the pool but can't swim. Lots of pool time and parental supervision resulted in a new swimmer and a very happy family. The pool was a perfect size for the little guy, who started with side to side and ended the week swimming the length. The pool sparkled in the sun and was warm with the use of the cover, no additional electricity was required. Kitchen was very functional with many pots and pans...the BBQ is nearing its best before date..All in All a great time in PS

We loved this house!

We rented this house for week this past March/April and were not disappointed. It has so much going for it, including a perfect location in downtown Palm Springs. It's a lovely house with beautiful landscaping in an attractive neighborhood. There is parking for two vehicles inside the rolling steel gate. There were only two of us, but there are two bedrooms. The kitchen has everything one could need. Cable TV, wifi -- the works. We spent most of our time outside on the patio by the pool and spa. No problem seating 6 either at the patio table or the dining room table inside. Jeffrey, the owner, was very helpful and accomodating and a quick phone call away at all times. We really like the style of this home -- I think you would call it Mediterranean. It's warm and comfortable and, in our opinion, a great antidote to the sharp edges of mid-century. We will definitely return to Casa Nico.

My friends and I have recently returned from a midweek getaway to Palm Springs, and for the second year in a row have enjoyed the comfortable confines of Casa Nico. The grounds are very clean and well maintained as is the house. The property is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood close to anything you would need. Jeffrey is a very friendly and respectful owner always available to help with any questions or problems. We will be back a third time!

Great location, pool and management

My family and I enjoyed our weekend at Casa Nico. Our boys were attending Stage Coach and we wanted a home with a pool close to down town Palm Springs. You could walk to the strip. The home is very relaxing and the pool and jacuzii were very enjoyable. Jeffrey the owner is very helpful and made sure that we were comfortable and gave us great information about the local area. We are looking forward to returning.
