Large Beautiful Kailua Cottage

Bedrooms Studio
Space 400 sq. ft.
Property type studio

About the property

Studio, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Welcome to Kailua, one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

We are located in the quaint beach town of Kailua on the windward side of Oahu. We are a 25 minute drive from Honolulu and the airport. Kailua beach, is a breathtaking 2 1/2 mile stretch of white sand and turquoise water. From our place you can walk to the beach in 15 minutes(less than 1 mile). At the beach, you have the option to rent surfboards, kayaks, wind surf boards, and stand up paddle boards.

You can also walk into Kailua town in 15 minutes where you can grab a bite to eat, enjoy a cup of coffee, or check out the local shops. For the early risers, watching the sunrise over the Mokulua Islands is a must, completed with the sun setting behind the majestic Koolau mountains. Kailua is the perfect place for those who enjoy activity, and those who love to lounge on the beach and bask in the sun.

Our large studio has its own private entrance. There is street parking out front that is always available. The entrance to the cottage is a wood chip lined path that is a bit narrow. If you are elderly or use an assistive device for walking, this may not be suitable for you. Although the trade winds provide a nice gentle breeze, there is also a ceiling fan and AC to ensure a comfortable temperature. There is a fully stocked kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, hot plate, and coffee pot. We have a newly remodeled bathroom with granite counter top and a larger tiled shower. For those of you who prefer to stay in and cook, there is an outdoor dining area where you can enjoy the warm air and trade wind breeze.

We also provide masks, snorkels, and beach chairs. For your travel convenience we have shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, and lotion available. The studio is very spacious, has a king size bed, cable TV, wireless internet, a gas BBQ, iron and it's own washer/dryer. A basket of local coffee and chocolates will be waiting for you upon your arrival. It is a perfect place for those visiting Oahu!

NO SMOKERS please. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if you are smoking anywhere on the property.

**As a courtesy, we do want to let you know that we have 2 children ages 3 and 6. Our 6 year old goes to school everyday and our 3 year old is either home or with the nanny. While, they are good kids, and we try to keep noise down mostly in the early morning, they are kids and therefore tend to make kid noises. If you are not fond of children, this may not be the place for you.

About Lisa

My husband and I have lived in Hawaii for 15 years now. We love the Hawaiian culture, the tropical weather, and the outdoor life style. We enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. We have 2 children ages 5 and 8. They both go to to school 5 days a week. While they are good kids, and we try to keep noise down mostly in the early morning, they are kids, and therefore tend to make kid noises. If you are not fond of children, this may not be the place for you.

Lisa purchased this studio in 2008

Why Lisa chose Keolu Hills

We have always grown up vacationing to Hawaii and are happy to have finally made Kailua our place of residence. We have the vacation rental available for our parents when they come to visit and rent it out when they aren't here. Kailua is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world and I hope that one day everybody has a chance to experience Kailua.

What makes this studio unique

The cottage's proximity to Kailua town, the beach, restaurants, and shops. The cool breeze of the trade winds, the topical weather, and the comfortable feeling you get while staying in the cottage.

We came to Oahu to visit my brother in-law and his family stationed at K-bay. This cottage had a great location and was perfect for my wife and I.

Simply all you need!

  • 5 of 5

This studio (which is actually much bigger than NY studios...) is in our opinion all you need for the perfect getaway! Staying here, in the peaceful yet conveniently located beach town of Kailua, you'll have the pristine beaches of Kailua and Lanikai 5-10 mins away while everything else you'll want to visit seems to be 30 minutes away tops (including Waikiki if that's what you're into). Grocery stores, coffee and smoothie shops, restaurants, gas stations and anything you might need are also less than 10 minutes away in car so all distances are walkable.

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable accommodations with all the commodities and perks. Lisa was very helpful and receptive, quickly replying to our texts/emails. Thank you so much for everything guys! We hope to be able to come back soon!!!

Incredibly clean and roomy

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was roomy and had all the amenities and more! The location was close to where my family lives, the beach and shopping. It was so clean. Even the rattan dresser lacked any dust. The bathroom and shower were roomy and spotless too. The curtains blocked anything we didn't want to see and the A/C helped make sleeping comfortable. The reason only 4 stars was the road was close but busy only at peak hours, 7-8 am and 5-6 pm and the bed was not as comfortable as I would like. My husband was fine with it. I would stay again and would recommend it to anyone. A great place in Kailua for a couple or single person to stay.

beautiful Apartment for a beautiful vacation

  • 5 of 5

We booked Lisa´s Kailua Cottage in March 2017 to visit our daughter, who lives on Oahu and of

course to discover the beautiful Island. From the moment we stepped in, we felt home in the

apartment, which is comfortable and furnished in a lovely way. Everything was exactly as written in the

description, the kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The closet provided more than

enough space for all our clothes and the washer and dryer were very helpful considering the three

weeks we spent there. Even laundry detergent among other little things to make us feel at home were

provided. Having access to beach towels, Snorkeling Sets and Beach Chairs just made it perfect.

Another very positive point to us were the fly screens on all windows. We also were very happy about

the location of the apartment, as Kailua is a charming town were you can do great shopping, discover

restaurants or the local farmers market and also which also has a variety on different grocery stores. We

got to know Lisa and her family as a very nice young family and if we would come back to the island

one day, we sure would want to stay at this wonderful place again. We couldnt have asked for more.

Thanks to our hosts we were able to spent a great time in Hawaii!

A true gem!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this delightful cottage for 2 weeks in December for our daughter's wedding. The bed is very comfortable, the air conditioner was perfect during the hot days and the kitchen was spacious. The full size refrigerator had plenty of room and the freezer had plenty of ice! Though it sits on a busy street we never heard cars at night. The location was great for Kailua. We had privacy and never heard much from the owner's family even though we stayed through the Christmas holiday. I would definitely stay here again!!!!
