About Jill

From the moment we saw this house, we knew it was the perfect one for us. Centrally located to biking trails, skiing, the lake and Tahoe City, this house is a perfect for a vacation at Lake Tahoe.

Jill purchased this house in 2000

Why Jill chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

The Talmont community has the best lake views in all of Tahoe and easy access to the major Tahoe ski resorts. Combine that Paige Meadows Recreation Area (walking distance) and you have the perfect spot for a vacation home. Plus, it's a short drive to Tahoe City and an even shorter drive to Sunnyside, a favorite restaurant destination.

What makes this house unique

With the Paige Meadows Recreation Area walking distance from the house, there is no end to the hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, etc. A huge bonus is the private homeowners-only beach on the lake itself (which renters have full access). It has two piers, playground, basketball court, BBQ, etc. No trip to the house is complete without a visit to the lake. The beach association number is 530-583-3820 (BBQ reservations). Key to get to the beach is in the house. Link to website is http://www.laketahoeparkassociation.com/

Map

Perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay. This is a great home, which we will most likely rent again. The great room upstairs is wonderful and it is an excellent space to entertain and be with friends. I can see how the downstairs can be a useful space to 'share'' with more than one couple or family. We on the other hand, spent our time in the house upstairs. Considering the snow was about 12 feet high, we couldn't have spent enough time outside. The snow shoeing at Paige Meadows is one of our favorites in the Tahoe region and this was a motivating factor for us when choosing this home. Keep in mind, 4x4 is very important when you need to climb up or down the hill to get to the house. We knew this already, so it wasn't a concern of ours. There was plenty of appliances and cookware to use, which is very much appreciated. Having access to the garage is such a blessing during the winter months. Personally, I love this location and would buy here if we were looking to own in Tahoe. Great access to Tahoe City, Tahoma, Homewood, Squaw, Alpine, etc.

Great for family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Hot tub, foosball table, propane grill and everything else in great shape. A nice great room kitchen area and deck for everyone to hang. Super clean and sparkling windows literally. We enjoyed with two small families and everyone with beds. Second the earlier recommendation for sleep masks in the master if you like to sleep in.

Comfortable, spacious and great location!

We will definitely be back!! We had a wonderful time at Sierra Sundance! This house was perfect for 2 families of 4, including young kids aged 2-5. It snowed the entire time we were there, and the kids enjoyed playing in the broad expanse of snow just out the back door. We love to cook and the big open layout was ideal for being together as a group and enjoying good food together. The kitchen was well appointed, but pots and pans could use an upgrade as their coatings are all scratched. They worked for us for a few nights, however if we came for a longer stay we might bring a few of our nicer pots and pans with us. The only other thing to warn about is that the master bedroom has an uncovered window and a sheer curtain, so whoever is sleeping in there should bring some eye masks! Super comfy beds though, all around.

The ideal home in a winter wonderland paradise

  • 5 of 5

Before I begin my review of the home and accommodations, I want to extend a sincere thank you and appreciation to Jill (owner) for working with me on making this stay possible. You are awesome, Jill!

OK, where do I begin? We arrived to find this incredible home padded with plenty of snow all the way around. The driveway and entry way were clear when so many other homes around were snowed under. We walked inside and our immediate reaction was "Oh my God!" This was a dream come true!

The home was very clean and welcoming! Plenty of space for a family of 3 (us)! We walked out on the deck and found the jacuzzi clean and ready to go (outside temp was 46°).

The bedrooms were clean and beds very comfortable! Bathrooms were tidy with plenty of water pressure for a relaxing bath or shower.

Enough of describing the home as we were there to introduce our 3 y.o. to snow. He had a blast after figuring snow is "cold" and his gloves were necessary. We used the snow sleds at a nearby snow park and watched our son become addicted to the fun!

The home is close by both the Sunnyside and Fireside Cafes -- both of which are a must to eat at!

We will be back again as we feel we have found our mountain getaway, thank you to Jill and her family!

Wonderful!!

House had everything we needed. It was great to have three bathrooms with a big group of people and lots of space to spread out in the living room and kitchen. Also, thanks for offering it as a dog-friendly house! It was so nice to bring our pup! Oh, and the hot tub is a great perk too :) Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
