Cumberland Hillside Hideaway

Away from everything but close to it all.

Cumberland Hillside Hideaway has much to offer:

Boating and fishing--Boat ramp is one mile away!

Relaxing--Cabin is secluded and private!

Swimming--Three swimming pools for your use!

More fun--ATV trails, hiking, tennis courts within walking distance!

Amenities--All the comfort of home plus some!

The beautiful Cumberland Hillside Hideaway cabin offers seclusion and privacy yet with all the amenities offered by Lake Cumberland Resort. This cabin is surrounded by the beauty of nature and nothing else.

Our Cumberland Hillside Hideaway is the perfect cabin for relaxation and rejuvenation. Located in the premier gated community of Lake Cumberland Resort in the Daniel Boone National Forest, Cumberland Hillside Hideaway is hidden off the main path and offers privacy and serenity--a welcome escape from our fast paced world.

The Cumberland Hillside Hideaway cabin has three bedrooms, each with a flat screen TV/DVD combo with cable, fresh linens, and an alarm clock. The main floor master bedroom features a queen bed, bath with double vanities and walk-in shower with dual shower heads. The two bedrooms upstairs share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with individual sinks and vanities. One upstairs bedroom has a beautiful log queen bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds.

Don’t worry about having to pack everything--hair dryers and complimentary spa quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available for your use.

The main living space has vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace showcasing a quilt wall hanging made by the me, cozy Lazyboy leather reclining furniture, and a TV with free cable, DVD player, and movies. Even while getting “away from it all” you may still need to be connected to the outside world, and Cumberland Hillside Hideaway will not let you down with high-speed Wi-Fi(internet) and a phone with free long distance calling. The dining room is open to the fully equipped kitchen to make your stay complete.

The dining room’s French doors open to a lovely screened dining porch perfect for meals and evening fun. From there you can access the full front porch and a screened sleeping porch --great for afternoon naps!

Upstairs is a reading loft---a cozy place to plan your next day’s adventures. And if those adventures involve getting a little dirty, then Cumberland Hillside Hideaway is the place for you! We provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets to help you clean up properly in the laundry room.

All bedrooms, screen rooms, and the main living space have ceiling fans to increase your comfort level!

For outdoor fun the Cumberland Hillside Hideaway has a shady play area with horseshoes and beanbag toss. We recently added a lovely fire pit for campfires and s'mores. We also have a couple of tennis rackets and tennis balls for your use at the tennis court a short walk from the cabin. Bring your beach towels to dry off after enjoying the three shared swimming pools. ATV/hiking trails are about 1/4 mile from the cabin.

Lake Cumberland, a paradise for water sport enthusiasts, also offers world class fishing. Bring your own boat to the ramp just one mile from the cabin. If you do not own a boat, boat rentals are located nearby, as well as local fishing guides to make certain you have a great experience. Be sure to explore the Cumberland Falls State Park. Daniel Boone National Forest offers over 150 miles of ATV trails alone! Five golf courses are conveniently located within a 30-minute drive, including the newly renovated, '2010 Best In Kentucky', General Burnside Island Golf Course.

Burnside is only a short drive away and offers some fantastic restaurants like Sully's and The End Zone.

Somerset is only 20 minutes away. Somerset has a waterpark, drive-in theater, cinemas, shopping, visitor information, a large choice of restaurants and several places to purchase your groceries. The fourth Saturday of every month April thru October is Somernites Cruise for the car enthusiast in all of us.

Great Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved this beautiful home in the woods.

Very clean and fully stocked. The kids loved the camp fires, smores and corn hole.

We had a wonderful time hiking at Cumberland Falls and White Water Rafting.

Great place to stay!

Overall great stay

  • 4 of 5

There was no firewood like the website claimed and there was nowhere close that sold firewood. Taking the garbage to a trash compactor down the street was an inconvenience while on vacation.

Such a fabulous location and beautiful home to Stay in.

  • 5 of 5

The property was secluded, yet near three different clean pools that we were able to use. Woods surround the property, with a clearing for a fire pit. All the comforts if home, but with the feel of camping. Would definitely return.

It was so good the first time, we did it again!

  • 5 of 5

We love everything about this home. We stayed last summer and had such a great time, we returned again. Everything is high quality from the deck chairs, to the bedding, to the kitchen appliances, etc. So clean, too. It's a bit of a drive from the house to our preferred marina, Conley Bottom, but the drive is relaxing and we're never really in a hurry when we're here. We've created a ton of memories here with our family. The pictures are extremely accurate. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your home.

Beautiful Cumberland Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We visited the cabin with our kids, ages 14, 13, 10, 7, and 2 months, for a long weekend. Everyone had a wonderful time, even though it rained two of the three days we were there. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, and enough indoor entertainment to keep everyone happy. We even played bags on the front porch while it was raining, and my 10 year old son said his favorite part of our stay was playing rummy on the screened-in porch at night. All the kids asked if we could stay in the same cabin next year. I don't think we could have asked for a better place to get away. And the Belgian waffle maker was a hit!
