Modern, quiet, New home on Peacuful, quiet, Howard Pond

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 6 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8-10)

Since my introduction to Howard Pond it has always been a special place to me. I have been coming here for 10+ years and that feeling has never left. This property overlooks Howard Pond and was built to be warm and cozy with a rustic log cabin like interior, with a maintenance free exterior to sllow more time to enjoy the area.

The property has knotty pine walls throughout the living area, with a loft study and a loft bedroom. I have included some of the modern amenities such as new modern appliances, flat screen TV with a Blue Ray DVD player to watch your favorite movies, along with WIFI to catch up on E-Mails. I have purposely eliminated network TV to keep a quiet positive atmosphere in tact. The home has radiant heat, along with a gas fireplace that will create a romantic atmosphere as well as keep the place warm and cozy.

The location is also very unique as it will serve the individual who desires simplicity, peace and quiet to recharge their batteries, as well as the individual who chooses to ski and snowboard, or climb 'OLD SPECK' the highest peak in the Mahoosuc Range an 8.4 mile hike to the elevation of 4,180', no thanks, not today. (Not recommended for shoppers who enjoy large shopping malls)

Keywords: Lovely new 3 bedroom home built on Howard Pond. Home includes cathedral ceilings, with a loft bedroom. All knotty pine throughout the living area, with granite countertops, new appliances including flat screen TV, blue ray DVD, and WIFI. Overlooking beautiful Howard Pond, with a dock and boat to relax or go fishing. If you are looking for peace and quiet, beautiful scenery in the mountains of western Maine, in a wonderful new home with modern amenities, overlooking Howard Pond, then this is the property for you. There is also a private dock located directly across the street for your personal use only.

My wife and I have been coming to Howard Pond for quite some time. Visiting a friend with property on the Pond. It is a beautiful, serene, quiet, peaceful spot and we were grateful to be able to buy land and build a home here. It has become out little piece of heaven on earth.

Great vacation house

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, brand new house with every modern convenience as described. We are a family of 5 with 3 small kids and the house was perfect for us. VERY clean and well equipped. Beautiful picture windows overlooking the lake and short walk across the road to the private dock. We took our canoe and kept it in the water - peaceful paddling and at least one pair of loons on the pond. Great pond for swimming. We cycled the road around the pond and found some snowmobile trails 2 mins from the house. Only 10 mins from Bethel which means it is close to the Sunday River, the AT, state parks, swimming holes, the Androscoggin, and much more. Ed and his family were so welcoming and took great pride in their new house. We will definitely come back. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.
