About Shannon Gaydos-Hinkle
Growing up in the mid-west, I spent every spring break skiing Summit County. Before the boys were born, my husband and I continued to enjoy day trips up to Summit County. With small children, it became difficult to make the drive up I-70 for a day of skiing. We want our boys to appreciate skiing/boarding as much as we do, so our mountain condo allows our family to take mini-breaks up for skiing and enjoying all that the high country has to offer. We live outside Boulder, CO with our twin sons.

Why Shannon Gaydos-Hinkle chose Keystone
My husband and I are avid snow boarder/skiers, but with young children it was tough to make the drive up I-70 each day. After looking around Summit County, we knew this was the place for our family. It is close to everything (proximity to the gondola is key with children), and has a great family atmosphere.
What makes this Condo unique
Steps away from the new high speed gondola and night skiing at Keystone. Vaulted ceilings, exposure on three sides, penthouse corner unit with fantastic ski-run views, all while maintaining the tranquility of a mountain escape. Our condo has enough space where everyone in the family can spread out.

Fantastic location and great place
Wonderful location! Easy walking distance (even in ski boots) to gondola and kids learning center. Nice cut through path straight into town as well. Place has a great cozy feel to it, exactly what you want for a ski vacation. Everything was clean and in good working order. Some really nice small touches like games for kids and walkie-talkies rounded out a great experience.
Great condo in the perfect location
We had a fantastic time! With a very short walk to the gondola and amazing hot tubs this condo is the ideal spot at Keystone. The kids love it too! From steaming in the steam room every morning to relaxing in the hot tubs after a day on the slopes this 2 bedroom condo is AWESOME!
Perfect ski condo, wonderful experience
We really enjoyed our stay at The Springs 8877 unit. Just steps from the gondola, everything worked fine. In case you need to have something solved, the property manager is always available and ready to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. The unit has absolutely anything you need including a fully equipped kitchen. Hot tub and steam bath are comfortable and a must for winter. There’s a parking place for each unit, although the place is just meters away from River Run village and bus stops. I would not hesitate to recommend unit 8877 at The Springs and would love to come back soon. Great ski week and great rental experience.
Perfect - Location to the Gondola, complex & unit layout.
We ski Keystone once or twice a season, typically staying in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit at either The Springs or Red Hawk. This particular unit is probably our favorite! We love the five bar stools around the kitchen counter, both bathrooms include a double vanity, the balcony can accommodate multiple people at the same time, there is plenty of floor space for people to spread out, and the unit is on an end cap providing windows on three sides. The Springs has many nice amenities, including a slide in the outdoor heated pool. You can’t beat the location and very short walk to the base of the Gondola. The only thing missing is a washer/dryer in the unit and a grill (but grills might not be allowed per the HOA).
Perfect location, awesome view and well equipped unit!
Our family of four shared this unit for 5 nights, and we had a great time! The unit is cozy, has a great view of the mountains/gondola and could be referred to as a ski in/ski out! My 3 and 5 year old had a great time in the pool/hot tub, and my husband and I appreciated the proximity to ski school/the gondola when having to carry equipment for 4. The heated garage/locker space were also a big plus, and my kids enjoyed the play room as well. The building overall was quiet, and we enjoyed cooking nearly every meal in the condo. This unit had so many pros (we will definitely return) that I hate to make any negative comments - but our positive criticism would be as follows: master shower has little to no water pressure which is not enjoyable after a full day of skiing (my kids take baths so I don't know about the other shower), and the mattresses, pillows and linens all left something to be desired. The mattresses and linens we could manage on, but even my 3 and 5 year old complained about the pillows, and we eventually all went without because we all woke up with neck pain. Finally, a pizza cutter would have been a bonus, but honestly that's the only kitchen device/utensil we didn't have that we needed, so we are not complaining! Overall, we were very happy with the unit and definitely plan to return!
Great space... great view
Great location to the lifts!
Night Skiing, Snow Shoeing, Ice Skating, and 3 outlet malls.
