About the property

Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This cabin is so quiet and peaceful, you can hear birds and crickets--and very little else. It feels so snug and cozy with the wood walls, floors and ceilings. We love to end our day on the porch with a glass of wine.

We have three luxurious bedrooms and 3 full baths, plus an open living room, dining, and kitchen area. There is even a loft with 2 large leather club chairs, one of which is a recliner, for relaxing your cares away!

The great room features a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

The dining area has seating for 6, and we have counter stools for additional seating. We've included lots of dishes, glassware and flatware for your stay.

The 2-story living room with stone fireplace and large screen TV has plenty of windows. You have a beautiful mountain view, surrounded by trees, and a huge covered front porch. We furnished the cabin with Persian rugs in every room, antiques, comfortable chairs and sofa, plush bedding, and then we finished it off with lots of interesting collectibles from literally all over the world.

All three bedrooms have either king or queen beds and large flat screen TVs. The two king bedrooms have full baths--the queen bedroom has a full bath in the hallway. You can sleep 6 in the cabin.

Our setting is a wooded and private 3 acres, surrounded by 24 additional private wooded acres, with a private gravel driveway. This is NOT a cookie cutter cabin lined up with lots of others and no privacy. You won't see any neighbors or houses from the cabin, yet you are just 10 minutes to Asheville.

Spend your day sightseeing, dining, shopping, and exploring our beautiful area, then come home to a peaceful and romantic authentic log home. You will love it here!

About The Owner

My husband and I purchased our mountain property five years ago with the intent of building a log home there. We chose the location not only for its beautiful setting and views, but also because it's only a 10 minute drive to Asheville. We took great care in choosing our floor plan and all the finishes for our log home. We feel that we've truly built a spectacular vacation property not only for ourselves, but for others to enjoy.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2010

Why The Owner chose Smoky Mountains

Our cabin is nestled in the beautiful mountains just off Reems Creek Road in Weaverville, 10 minutes from Asheville, NC. Location was very important to us. Reems Creek Golf Club is just across from us, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is a 5 minute drive from us.

What makes this cabin unique

You may see wild turkeys, deer, black bears, coyotes, turtles, egrets, mallards, or rabbits from our cabin!

Clean, Secluded and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Six adults stayed in this beautiful log home over the Christmas Holiday. The home is new, clean and very comfortable. Plenty of space for six people and one toddler. We loved the location as we were far enough away from the hustle and bustles of Asheville to feel secluded. However it never felt like a burden to make the 15 minute drive into Asheville to take advantage of everything the city has to offer.

I can't overstate how clean and well kept the home was. We were very impressed being that it is a rental property. The only downside for some people might be the driveway. It is a little treacherous but we did not have a problem getting in and out with a small SUV. I'm assuming if there was snow on the ground you might need a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

The Owner was very responsive to our messages. The check in and check out process was very simple. Also the property is a short trip (5 to 10 minutes) to downtown Weaverville which is probably underrated. We loved the Creperie Cafe, Glass Onion and Well-Bred Bakery. Not to mention all the attractions that Asheville & the Biltmore have to offer.

We loved every minute of staying at this beautiful cabin over the holiday and we would not hesitate to book again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a rental in the Asheville / Weaverville area.

Clean and Cozy

Wonderful cabin about 20 minutes from Asheville. We went on a weekend getaway with 3 couples to visit the Biltmore at Christmas (a must). The cabin was clean, cozy, and convenient. We loved it!

Beautiful log home in gorgeous location

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have asked for a better "home away"! Beautifully furnished with everything we needed, in a lovely wooded location north of Asheville. Found a gem of a restaurant just down the road: Stoney Knob Cafe. The driveway is bit steep and treacherous...not for a lightweight vehicle.

Wonderful home and beautiful setting. Has everything you could need for a great vacation.

  • 5 of 5

House was spotless and beautifully furnished. It had everything and more that you would need for a great stay in the Asheville area. Only 15-20 minutes to town, but you were in a mountain setting. Make sure you check out cute downtown Weaverville too. My husband and our adult children had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to all our friends who may be in the area.

Six of us loved this place.

  • 5 of 5

This log house is just incredible. Tucked away in the woods, with a view from every room and a wonderful porch. All the amenities are here , including a flat screen TV in every room. If you desire privacy, this house is definitely for you. I was worried about finding it at night, but if you use Siri, she takes you right to the door. We also enjoyed eating in Asheville at the owner's restaurant, the Buffalo Nickel. Really great food, and lots of fun. Recommended highly for anyone who wants a luxurious home away from home. We would definitely come back.

AMAZING

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I took our 2 married daughters for a weekend getaway. We were extremely excited to explore Asheville. Once we entered the cabin, we didn't want to leave! It was everything and more than we ever expected! It was absolutely breathtaking!! It was so clean and was perfect for each of us to have our own bedrooms and bathrooms. It was so wonderful to reconnect and relax with each other. We have stayed at several VRBO properties and this is definitely the best one we have had. We are already planning another trip back next year!
