Cozy, woodsy cabin in a great location
Overall, an excellent experience. A very well-appointed cabin with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I don't think the pictures do the property justice. It's a very woodsy cabin, with a great feel to it. Nice views from the kitchen and master loft. Lots of room. We were only one family, but two could easily manage. The area was a bit more residential than I had imagined, but it was very (!) quiet. The beach nearby was lovely. The water was calm and clean, and there was a dock to swim out to. I would recommend this property to my friends looking for a cozy, peaceful getaway with access to nature and a very comfortable house to come back to.
Beautiful log home
We were very happy with our weekend getaway in this spacious cabin. It was very clean with a kitchen complete with all supplies. Note that there is no oven, but this was clearly stated.
The setting was gorgeous and it was a short walk to the beach.
We would definitely stay here again.
As of April 2018, we completed a renovation of the main Kitchen, which included the installation of full size oven and glass top range, new countertops, sink and faucet!
We enjoyed our stay. The coffee maker was leaking, it may need to be replaced. Also, the beach access was disappointing. I got the impression from the description that the beach would be easy access.
Thanks for your review! Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! The coffee maker was in fact leaking, I noticed a few days ago and have already replaced it with a brand new one. The beach access is listed as easy access as it is just down the road and well within walking distance, the trail itself down to the beach albeit very short is a bit inclined.
Beautiful location, close to beach, good for families or groups.
Had a great time. Home was roomy and everything was provided. Lots of fresh towels, kitchen amenities. House is a little worn but homey and comfortable. First two days we were woken up by excavator ripping out trees next door feet from our window and clearing the lot (not the vendors's fault) but after that it was quiet and relaxing. Good hikes and provincial park are nearby. A very enjoyable vacation.
Nice to receive such a great review despite the fact that the unannounced clearing of the lot next door appears to have affected the overall star rating. They are all done next door, with the silver lining being the that view has been improved!
Perfect quiet get away
Place was great. Everything you see in the pictures. We came from Vancouver & took the ferry to Gibson. Drove to sechelt and was delighted to see there were many amenities close to the location. About a 10min drive to independent grocery( superstore branded company), IGA, & Canadian tire for last minute things.
Our purpose for coming up was to go boating and fishing. WOW the inlet was as calm as a lake. Great boating, & Joseph that owned the private warf 5 mins away was great. Just a heads up if you want to launch your boat anywhere elsewhere it's about a 20 min drive. David was also super helpfull and very easy to get a hold of. Thank you again for lending us your perfect getaway. Will be staying here again in the future!!!
Outstanding cabin and location
My wife, 4 teenage kids, and I had an awesome time at this cabin. The scenery is spectacular. I wish we had been there longer as we had only 3 nights as part of a trip starting in Portland and ending in Victoria. We really enjoyed kayaking using the rental group right up the road.
