Location, Location, Location, oh and the apartment is great too!
Nestled in the heart of one of the trendiest and most luxurious streets in one of the finest neighborhoods in all of Jerusalem, you can find this amazing three bedroom duplex. It's hard to believe that it is less than a 5 minute walk (for real, not just rounded down...) to the hustle and bustle of the most popular restaurants and cafes of Emek Refaim.
The apartment was newly refurbished just last year (2009) and resides within a complex that was recently declared an "historic" building by the Jerusalem Municipality (even though the building was erected in 2000).
As you enter the apartment from the private entrance, you will find the common area, including a fully stocked kosher kitchen, a living room with cable TV/plasma screen, a dining room, a bathroom, and a huge patio of nearly 50 sq meters (where the Sukkah is built) with steps leading down into a quiet garden area.
One floor down, you will find a master bedroom plus 2 more bedrooms, each of which sleeps 2 comfortably (so that's 6 in all), as well as another bathroom plus washing machine and dryer. From here, you have direct access to the underground parking which is such a necessity on the back streets of Baka.
(Obviously there is Wifi A/C and the rest...)

No'a and Ari Gorlin bought this apartment beneath their own in order to expand their own apartment, which they did, and in so doing, created a stand alone beautiful three bedroom apartment just downstairs which they happily look after.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2008
This apartment has it all, including A/C, kosher kitchen, huge outdoor space, washer/dryer, 2.5 baths, wifi, etc. There is even a parking spot in the underground garage. We are big walkers, and couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment is very close to Emek Refaim and its many shops and restaurants, the old train station, as well as the center of town, the Old City and -- if you are adventurous and follow the path on the repurposed train tracks -- you can walk all the way to the Biblical zoo. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for an apartment in Jerusalem, your search is over. Stop reading this and contact the owner before someone else does! We lucked out in finding this place and you will, too.
We stayed here for six months and loved the apartment and location. We didn't rent a car because we could walk or take the bus everywhere. The apartment is fully furnished and fully stocked with lots of towels, linens, etc. The landlord lives next door and is very responsive. We would DEFINITELY stay here again and have and will recommend it to friends. It is very spacious and relaxing.
This apartment is wonderful. It's very spacious, has all new appliances, a kosher kitchen and a beautiful private outdoor terrace. The owners, a very nice, helpful family, live next door in case you need anything. Israel in general, particularly Jerusalem, can be a very expensive place to visit, but this lovely apartment in Beka is a great value!
We were so pleased with the location of the apartment as it is located close to Emek Refaim as well as shops on Derech Beit Lechem. We were able to walk to Yemin Moshe and the Kotel. The photos really do reflect the apartment's appearance. I was so pleasantly surprised to see how clean and well-maintained the apartment is. The owner was available to us at all times to answer questions and to take care of any issues that arose. We can't wait to plan our next trip and stay in this apartment again!
The apartment is very conveniently located, next to major shopping areas, restaurants, cafes, and synagogues. It's a new apartment, clean and well-maintained. The apartment has a beautiful kitchen and living room. The terrace is huge and adds a lot to the enjoyment of the premises. The bedrooms are fine as well. There's a washer and a dryer in the apartment, which makes getting dirty in Jerusalem much less of a hassle. There's also a very convenient parking garage in the building.
The landlords are very helpful and responsive and ready to go out of their way to address questions or concerns whether related to the rental property or not.
When I go back to Jerusalem, I would love to stay in this apartment again and would recommend it enthusiastically to all my friends and relatives.
We spent nearly all of June this year in this great apartment. It was spotlessly clean, bright and very comfortable. There were only the two of us and it was therefore very spacious, but would certainly be big enough for a family. The terrace was a real bonus. Ari and Noa are friendly and helpful and responded immediately to our calls whether it was a request for a cleaner or replacement of a lightbulb. The situation could not be better. It is 3 minutes from the Bethlehem Rd which has a great bakery, marvellous greengrocer, one of the best cafes in Jerusalem - and a hairdresser, among its interesting shops. It is a 5 minute walk to Emek Refaim, undoubtedly THE place to be in Jerusalem, which has great restaurants, trendy cafes, the neighbourhood supermarket and really interesting shops. It also has a lovely swimming pool and the buses into town run every few minutes.
Our experience of the Gorlin appartment has ruined us for future stays in Jerusalem, we never really want to stay in a hotel again!
