Our names are Greg and Brenda Sroka and we have been homeowners in the Canaan Valley since 2002. We try to take a break from our busy life and visit the Valley at least once a Season.
Owner purchased this Cabin in 2007
Why Owner chose Davis
As West Virginia Alumni and the parents of 3 beautiful young daughters, we love sharing the beauty of West Virginia with our family and think that you will too. The Canaan Valley is a safe, secluded, beautiful piece of America that everyone should visit at least once.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabin backs to the Wildlife Preserve which provides plenty of privacy and shade. There are also great views of the local ski slopes and mountains.

Sports & Adventure Activities
Overall, the place was very nice. Has all of the basics. when we arrived there were only 2 matches to start a fire in the fireplace, so have matches or a lighter just in case. The only other thing was the wifi had a password, and the owner gave me the wrong password. So besides those 2 things, it was great!
Wonderful weekend getaway
This cabin was perfect the Labor Day weekend. It is compact, but was plenty roomy enough for our family of four, plus a dog. The location was the best in the resort, in my opinion - shaded and at the back of the property, near the woods. Yet still close to the playground and pool.
It was spotless when we checked in, and the owners/resort staff were friendly and easy to work with. The furniture is all comfortable and cozy, and the tub is definitely a plus.
We will definitely be back.
Comfy, Cozy & Cute!
My husband and I took a last minute "Babymoon" (a get away before having our third child in a few weeks!) to this lovely cabin in the woods. The cabin is very easy to find, even with a late check in. There was plenty of wood to start a fire (look for the starter log, as we were scrounging for paper for a half hour till my husband pointed out the little brick, starter log). The wood-burning fire-place was our favorite feature along with the large jacuzzi tub, complete with candles! The loft, with sleeping room for 4 more people, had us dreaming of bringing our kids back in the future. We struggled to get the internet to work but plugged the ethernet cable directly into the laptop and did get service. The resort sent maintenance quickly to resolve this issue as soon as I brought it to their attention. Unfortunately we had to check out early and didn't get to stay our second night because of weather, but nothing about the cabin was less than what we were expecting! I would absolutely recommend this location and unit to anyone heading out to ski Timberline or just to have a romantic weekend away and enjoy the beautiful WV mountains. I would have loved to stay longer and see more of Canaan Valley and the wildlife preserve. We ate dinner at the Golden Anchor, about 10 minutes South on Rt 32. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Good summer getaway
Great value and perfect location for summer hiking in the Canaan Valley! Cabin was clean and perfect for two people.
A beautiful place.
We went in the fall and had such a nice, relaxing time. This "cabin" is more like a well kept, beautifully decorated hotel or townhouse! and it's right on the edge of the forest so we had lots of privacy and could see the woods. The hot tub was sooo relaxing. There was plenty of wood for the fireplace and I thankfully remembered to open the chimney flue before I started the fire. The cabin warmed up fast and with the stocked kitchen, we were able to make dinner with our groceries, there was even a corkscrew for the wine. It was very quiet and peaceful. We went horseback riding just a mile down the road and my fiance loved it. There was a little dog that rode horseback there. Such a beautiful valley. Thank you!
