La Vista Caribeña is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the beautiful fishing village of Esperanza. You may enjoy the soothing Caribbean breezes and tranquil view from the porch, while a short five minute walk will take you to the heart of Esperanza and the Malecon, the scenic promenade along the beach. Relax in the Caribbean trade winds while listening to the coqui and enjoy star gazing or a cup of coffee in our back yard tropical garden.
Esperanza also boasts a variety of charming shops, festive waterfront bars and some of the best restaurants on the island. There are also two food markets and an excellent bakery within a two-block radius. Renting a car is an option not a requirement at Vista Caribeña.
The beaches at Esperanza and Sun Bay are also within walking distance and the variety of marine life you will experience while snorkeling here will surprise you. For the more adventurous, many other activities such as horseback riding, fishing, sailing, kayaking, and tours of the incredible Bioluminescent Bay can be arranged in Esperanza. In addition, you will enjoy watching the wild Paso Fino horses as they roam the streets and beaches. Vieques is small, but there is so much to see and do!

La Vista Caribena was perfect!! My wife, myself and two boys had an absolutely wonderful time! A short walk to The malecon with all the restaurants and the beach!! I would definitely stay here again!!
I always want to bring friends to Vieques and this is the go to house to be close to town and beaches. It will hold six comfortably and comes with all the beach essentials. Clean and quiet. Great neighborhood, close to bakery and grocery and a short walk to beaches. You won't regret a stay at La Vista Caribena!
We loved our stay at :La Vista Caribena in April 2016. It worked great for two couples with two small children. It is a short walk from the Malecon, a small grocery store, a bakery, and lot's of great restaurants. We found that the house came stocked with nearly everything that we needed for our days on the beach. Mimi was great to work with. I highly recommend La Vista Caribena!
We had a lovely stay at this house. The house was delightful and just a five minute walk from the Esperanza beach and Malekon on a quiet dead end street. A grocery store and bakery is a minute away, Sun bay is a 15 minute walk and you can follow the shore to get there. The beds were comfortable and the house well equipped. Jeff and Mimi made us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this house and stay here again if we come back.
This place was perfect for our family of 6! It is super clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has all the utensils you would ever need to get cooking. Tastefully decorated with local art, and just feels very breezy after a full day in the sun, even w/o AC (there is AC in the main b/r but we never used it). We did not rent a car, and were just fine for 5 days on the island - with several beaches in walking distance from the property (if you like to walk, that is:-), and public vans on-call to take you to further away places and across the island. Washer and dryer are great to have with kids! The boardwalk with all the restaurants is literally a 3 minute walk (but tucked far enough into the neighborhood that it stays quiet), Esperanza beach (calm and perfect for kids) is 5 minutes, Sun Bay is maybe 15 minutes (with a convenient stopover for refreshments at the Green Store), and Media Luna beach is a little further, maybe 30 minutes walk. The town's bakery is on the same block, AND the islands beautiful big playground is 5 minutes walking distance - people drive to it from across the island with their kids). The property manager, Joe, was very responsive to all our questions and needs, gave us very detailed info about the town and the island. Definitely recommend this place to everyone, but especially if you have kids! We're already planning our next visit and will stay at this place again and again.
We stayed in this home for 9 nights and 10 days and it was a great fit for our family of five. We had three bedrooms and a right sized kitchen, dining and living area. The neighborhood was nice, walkable to the Malecon, very close to La Dulce Esperanza and the Colmado. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to the island.
