About the property

Our Alaska log cabin Lodge is conveniently located six miles from Kenai Airport, exactly midway between 'Sister Cities' of Kenai and Soldotna. A few short minutes from the World Famous Kenai (Home of the standing World Record King Salmon) and Kasilof Rivers. We are also near Seward and Homer, Alaska so our log cabin is in the very best location!

Caribou Crossing Cabins Lodge is a family owned and operated business in the center of the beautiful Kenai Peninsula. The Lodge consists of three separate bedroom units and one separate cabin with loft, each with kitchen facilities, private outside entrances, private bathroom/showers with on-demand hot water, barbecues, decks and free firewood at the firepit. There is a lighted, covered pavilion with picnic tables and barbecue for those rainy days so the beautiful outdoors are still comfortable. We have daily visits from wildlife including moose, caribou and the occasional bears! The location is a private quiet country setting. We are very proud of property and our tripadvisor reviews tell the story! Caribou Crossing Cabins Lodge is the PERFECT get-a-way for your CORPORATE TEAM-BUILDING, FAMILY REUNION, CLASS REUNION, PRE-or POST-WEDDING PARTY and more. From EIGHT to 16 persons comfortably! Within driving distance of single-track trails and mountain alpine access. Guided hiking for individuals or groups, complete with 'bear protection' by prior arrangement. We can point you in the right direction for all of your Alaska Wilderness excursions.

Kenai and Soldotna are located in South Central Alaska on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula. Kenai lies on the shores of Cook Inlet, at the mouth of the world famous Kenai River. Because of the close proximity to Anchorage, Kenai is easily reached from Anchorage by air or highway. It is a beautiful 2.5 to 3-hour drive about 150 miles (260 kilometers) south of Anchorage along one of the most scenic highways in Alaska. Kenai is easily accessible for all types of vehicles.

For air travelers, it’s just a short flight (25 minutes) on a scheduled air carrier to Kenai’s modern airport, the largest on the Kenai Peninsula. Flights leave Anchorage hourly.

Our lodge consists of three separate bedroom units, each with it's own unique Alaskan theme. The 'MOOSE', the 'CHINOOK' and the 'CARIBOU' featuring private outside entrances, private bathroom/shower and fully equipped kitchens, are available individually by request and arrangement. Please inquire as to availability.

We have another log cabin available for larger or separate groups. Please contact us for details.

At Caribou Crossing Cabin Adventures, you will be centrally located to Fish for Kings, Reds and Silvers in the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. Dig for fresh Razor clams. Troll Kings and fish for Halibut at Homer, Ninilchik and Deep Creek. Experience the Silver Salmon Derby in Seward and Halibut and Rock Fish in Prince William Sound.

About Loren & Dianna Hollers

We are Alaskans from Nebraska featuring 'friendly Midwestern' service. We love Alaska and love sharing it with our guests. We hand-built the 'Saddle-Notch' log lodge and cabins using local native Spruce logs. Our decks, railings and beams all came from local lumber mills. The construction was a three-year family labor-of-love complete with 'blood, sweat & tears'! The final result is a property we are very proud of and we are eager to share it with you and your family!

Why Loren & Dianna Hollers chose Soldotna

We moved to Alaska a long way from family and friends and the log cabin lodge rentals seemed a great way to make new friends. We cherish the opportunity to show 'our Alaska' to visitors.

What makes this lodge unique

Very clean, private country setting where groups can gather around a friendly open fire and never run out of free firewood or Alaskan tales of adventure.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Kathleen & I have traveled together for many years and we always stay in cabins or lodges for the fun of ‘rustic’ living. Caribou Crossing Cabins is by far the best we have ever come across. We love the mix of luxury with an Alaskan cabin feel. Your hospitality is super! We will be back! KF, Walnutport, PA, SH, Oahu, Hawaii

Caribou Crossing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed two nights at Caribou Crossing. It was sparkling clean, comfortable, quiet, and convenient to everything in the Kenai area. Loren and crew were very accommodating and friendly. We won't hesitate to stay again.
