About The Owner

I own a business in Flagstaff. While my husband works in Montana, I often commute from Bozeman to Flagstaff.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2010

Why The Owner chose Flagstaff

After living in Flagstaff for many years my husband was transferred to Bozeman, Mt. We are back in Flagstaff frequently and had been looking for a second home for several years. We wanted one that would still be inside the city but offer a peaceful forested environment. Of course, we wanted to be close to the things that we love about Flagstaff; hiking, biking, skiing and downtown! I knew that I had to find something that appealed to my kids, too. The day cabin and adjacent biking trails cover their needs.

What makes this cabin unique

Our property is often frequented by elk and other wildlife. It is in a neighborhood, surrounded by forest on two sides and has trails adjacent to the property. There is a meadow in the nearby (200 yds) forest that is excellent for viewing wildlife.

Exceeded our expectations!

Exceeded our expectations. Great cabin in great location for kids and dog to explore. Beautiful hideaway. Kids could roam and explore while we enjoyed the beautiful view from the back deck.

Amazing Location!

  • 5 of 5

One thing that I really disliked about using this site, was the sheer number of people calling a brand new condo on the golf course a "cabin". In my book a cabin requires at least a few acres surrounding wilderness, and a fair distance from any neighbors.

This IS a CABIN in the woods, and is absolutely fantastic. It's not as plush as some of the rentals we've been in, but you certainly cannot find a better location. The cabin is cozy, and comfortably fit our family of 5. There was even plenty of room for the grandparents to spend a couple of nights with us.

The property has so much room for the kids and dogs to play. You can step over a fence onto national forrest. There is a day cabin for the kids to have their own space. Snowball fights, snowmen, sledding....we had it all!

There was tons of snow, yet we had no problem accessing the property. It is completely secluded, but less than 15 minutes from everything. It's only about 5 miles out of town, still totally surrounded by miles of national forest. The Snow Bowl traffic can be a little heavy, if you are heading in to town when the lifts shut down. I think that's probably the case with all of the homes along Highway 180.

What's more is that Nicole was awesome to work with. She was very responsive, addressed any concerns immediately and is just genuinely a very pleasant person.

I loved it, my wife loved it, my kids loved it and even our dogs loved it. We didn't even want to come! Thanks to Nicole and Beth for our best Winter Vacation yet!

Thank you.

You will hear from us again! The location was perfect. The sun porch was convenient for dropping outdoor gear before tracking it through the house (i.e. great for children). You have a very nice set up and is the perfect for a family of 5.

Great girls' weekend

  • 5 of 5

What a great weekend in the snow! The cabin is beautiful and secluded and was a perfect for a girls' weekend of skiing. Everything we needed for cooking dinners and a sunroom for transitioning from skiing to cozy evenings. Thanks to the owners and Kathleen for making a great memory possible for our family! My daughter had left a bag and Kathleen brought it to the restaurant that evening when we were having dinner :) Thanks!

Peaceful and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect if you want to feel like you are away from it all but at the same time close to town. The cabin has everything you need and is very comfortable and cozy. The owner is great to work with and takes great care of the property. My family and I have now stayed here several times and would come back in a heartbeat!

outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was even better than the description! Very convenient location close to Flagstaff, but felt like we were in the middle of the wilderness. Cabin was beautiful and very well stocked. Didn't get to do much outside due to a foot of snow on the ground (otherwise would have spent time hiking the adjacent national forest), but there was plenty inside to keep us busy. Cabin just a few miles from sledding and skiing, and on the road to the grand canyon. Kitchen was very well stocked which made cooking easy. Owner was very helpful and accomodating. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who enjoys the woods and mountains, but still likes to have all the comforts of home.
