Helpful votes:0/0. We stayed at Gratitude for three nights in February and found the layout open, good light and excellent/convenient location. The rooms were well appointed and the kitchen and master bedroom have filtered views of Lake Tahoe. We were very pleased and will definitely come back.

Cute little cabin just of the main drag of Tahoe City. Park your car and walk everywhere. The management company was excellent. There was some construction going on across the street and they kept us informed, including offering to move us if we desired. This is the classic "Tahoe rental" with everything you need for a fun week-end. There is a decent view of the lake from the front rooms. This also means the beds are squishy and the pillows are hard. Bring your own pillow if this is important to you. We will definitely stay here again.

5 stars for both house and property manager

  • 5 of 5

The 6 of my family just finished ski trip in squaw valley (12/18-26/2016). We first stayed in a hotel, then after two nights, we decided to move to this house for 30% more price. We stayed 6 more nights and felt that that 30% was the best investment to make this trip enjoyable and memorable.

Location: close to SafeWay, winter shops, restaurants, and lake trail (closed at this moment). 15 minutes drive to Squaw Valley without traffic or 30 minutes in storm . It's what it is: not close comparing to lodges inside valley, but you get significant sweetener on price.

Space: two-floor. All 3 bedrooms are on 2nd floor, each with one queen/king bed. Very well planned floor plan make staying very comfortable. One dining room, one game space, and one living space downstairs.

Equipment: Has kitchen essentials for family cooking. All kids of kitchen tools and home tools. One of the bedroom's heating system is weak. So they put a electronic heater in that room. They put a thermometer right outside to kitchen window so that you can easily read the external temperature outside. You feel that someone who lives here really love this house.

Decor: This is the highlight of the house. Many accent decorative items including a "bear chair" shows how much effort the owner put in his/her home. Wall decors worth a second watching.

Property management: Because we had to check out from hotel on 10am-ish, it'd be very inconvenient if we had to stay somewhere until normal 3pm check-in to this house. I asked whether I can check in around noon. They said yes. And I actually arrived their office around 10:45. The manager immediately drove to the house to check the readiness, and told us to give her a few minutes and check in around 11am. We did, and the house was ready! I appreciate the property manager's effort to make an extra exception for us without a second word.

Convenient to walk to town, comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Property was comfortable for my family of 4. Layout was great with all bedrooms upstairs, a master w/en suite bathroom, and a 2nd full bath upstairs for the kiddos. Kitchen had plenty of plates/pans etc. Walk to town is about 2 blocks from the home, where you could walk to commons beach and the park, many restaurants, and safeway/CVS. Bedrooms stayed warm at night, but fans in each room helped a little bit. Property was very clean, well maintained. Wells and Bennett were extremely responsive w/any questions. Unfortunately we could not figure out how to work the small TV upstairs but it wasn't a big deal. Would stay here again!
