About mary spire
'Hawks Hollow', home of a musician, artist and therapist, is a relaxing and peaceful place to be. The house is clean, comfortable and ideal for any occasion.

Why mary spire chose Dillon Beach
I love nature, the sea, ocean breezes. My house is a short walk to the beach where I can take my 2 labs to run and play. Dogs are allowed off leash, if they are under your control. I find it very invigorating and yet soothing to stay here- very relaxing and enjoyable.
What makes this House unique
The quiet of the area is especially important to me- I am free to relax, think, create and have quality down time- no pressures from the outside world. It's an oasis!

A good time was had by all...
We had a great stay, bringing our 3 children, all 18+ years old, and dog with us. We were snug, but comfortable. The cabin is a short walk from the beach. Its not flashy or luxurious, but is fully functional with a fully equipped kitchen and gas bbq. It has WiFi, Direct TV and a bunch of DVDs for movie time at night. I would return there again.
The owner great to work with and quickly responded to my to my questions.
We loved our weekend get away
The house was very comfortable for all 6 of us and our 2 dogs. It took us a while to find our way to the beach, but, once we got there it was wonderful! It was a nice15 minute walk with the baby in a wagon. We saw a lot of deer and turkey. It was a very relaxing weekend and we all enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and very well kept.
Very Comfy Home with Great Common Area
My five-year-old daughter and I had a terrific stay over Memorial Day weekend. The home was very comfortable and spacious for two, and would have easily fit a couple more. The highlight was the open upstairs common space where the living room with fireplace and three couches/large chairs blends into the dining table and into the kitchen. Very airy but also homey. The downstairs bedrooms are a bit more enclosed and dark, but for that reason good for sleeping. We spent most of our time upstairs (when we weren't out). The kitchen had everything we needed. The home was very clean and a little rustic, like the windswept town. It is well-situated, on the edge of "town" so there's a little more space than a couple blocks away where the small homes abut each other. We road our bikes through "town" and down to the beach and beyond to the dunes. The owner was very prompt in responding to the one small issue we had with the dishwasher. We'd highly recommend.
Thank you for the positive review of my Dillon Beach house. I just spent an enjoyable week out there - and escaped the week- long heat wave in Marin, Sacramento, etc..
I also like the open upstairs common space- great for reading, chatting with friends and overall relaxing. Mary, owner
Lovely visit and wonderful accommodations!
Beautiful little home truly minutes from the beach and with all the necessities . Wishing you'd add a hot tub to the deck (dream). We were quite comfortable and look forward to a return visit! Thank you so much and happy new year !
So happy that you enjoyed your stay and the house. Thanks for the review! Mary
Terrific house in the village
This was our third stay at this particular Dillon Beach rental. We've been going to Dillon Beach for decades and have been renting houses there for the last 5 years. We find this house especially comfortable because it has a lot of seating in the living room. It's also nice to sit on the balcony outside of the living room in good weather. The house is centrally located, about 5 or so minutes walk down hill to the beach. There's also internet at this house now, which was a great surprise to us. Our AT&T cell phones don't work there but Wi-Fi calling did work. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need to cook standard meals. We bring our large dogs to this house with us. As with most houses in Dillon Beach the house is not fenced;however, it's not a big deal for us to bring the dogs outside on a leash. Thanks for letting us rent the house again
you are welcome! I appreciate that you enjoy staying at the house. You've been a great guest! Mary
Great little house
The house was great for our family . Four minute walk to the beach and a great central location to all the spots along the coast . We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again in the future ! 👍👍
thank you for the lovely review. I am happy that your family enjoyed the house and your time there at Dillon Beach! Mary( owner)
There are many things to do in and around Dillon-the obvious one is walking on the two mile, long sandy beach( dogs allowed off leash). I especially enjoy hiking at Point Reyes National Seashore and swimming in the ocean at Dillon Beach( wet suit recommended). Another fun thing to do is to hang out in the town of Tomales ( 4 miles east of Dillon) where you will find a nice antique store, a general store, post office and many good places to eat. I especially enjoy and recommend K&A Take Away on Dillon Beach road and the Tomales Deli And Café on Highway 1. The oldest saloon in California is the William Tell Saloon: it is a friendly place where many locals go to drink and eat- it has a full bar and excellent food, including oysters- in the restaurant.
