AspenHaus Lodge is perfectly situated overlooking the Big Thompson River, with snow-cap views of the continental divide while backing up to Giant Track Mountain for the ultimate in end-of-road privacy. From our home it is just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center of Estes Park. Or simply leave your car at our home and take the FREE Estes Park Summer shuttle from a stop located within 1/4 mile of AspenHaus Lodge!!

The main level great room has a spectacular floor-to-30 ft. ceiling river rock gas fireplace which is flanked by a surround sound audio visual system (with 2 flat screens); simply the ideal family gathering place with its adjoining newly renovated fully equipped barnwood kitchen and dining room area.

From the great room you can step out to the fantastic wrap-around deck to enjoy excellent mountain views along with the sights and sounds of the Big Thompson River... or take it all in from the 6-person hot tub or while cooking dinner on the Weber gas grill!

The cozy master bedroom has a double-sided gas fireplace shared with a jetted tub en suite. Open the deck doors and let the sounds of the Big Thompson lull you to sleep or step out to take in the perfectly clear Colorado sky where you might want to reach out to grab a star!

The second level of AspenHaus has two bedrooms (a king-sized bed in each), 2 private bathrooms and an amazing open loft area with picture windows framing the river, pine forest and snow-cap views. No artwork needed on these walls!

A second family room is located in the lower level where you can walk-out to meet wild turkeys and spot other wild life coming up the driveway! Or maybe just sit back and relax on the flagstone patio while enjoy a good book and catching a mesmerizing bird's eye view of the Big Thompson River! The bunk room with a full bath is also located on this level.

A one car attached garage space (with a spare refrigerator) comes with this rental. We also have a main floor laundry room.

As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river.

From the doorsteps of AspenHaus enjoy a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.

Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Lodge is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain home!

Truely a home away from home!

Sue and Mark were outstanding hosts. The house had everything promised and if we had any questions they were quickly answered. The kitchen had just been redone and we took full advantage - group cooking at home was fun and easy with fully outfitted space. Having all the room for family to be together in different ways was ideal. thanks Sue & Mark!

Fantastic mountain atmosphere

This large, upscale and like-new house on Aspen Brook is at the end of a long private driveway. The views from the living area are stunning. The massive fireplace and carefully chosen furniture all fit so well with the mountain theme. The spacious rooms and bathrooms are all very well-equipped, with many thoughtful touches, including games, books, a land-line phone, spices, baggies, napkins, portable crib, wooden high chair, laundry soap, extra towels, extra toilet paper, tissues, etc. The kitchen is a dream; there is plenty of room to store your purchased food. The deck is expansive. Sue could not be more helpful. She emailed lots of information about Estes Park activities, shopping, and restaurants before our stay, so it was easy to make plans. We liked Duraven Inn and Twin Owls Steakhouse. The house easily fit 8 adults and 2 children.

Great Experience

We had a great time staying at this fantastic home. Mark and Sue were so helpful with all the little details that made our stay their over the top. We have stayed at many other homes and had to do many little things on our own where here all of those were taken care of. Beautiful home that was not to large which allowed our family to connect and enjoy each other even more. Great Place, thanks.

Perfect Home Away from Home!

My family has been coming to Estes Park for over 30 years. We are on our fifth generation to carry on the tradition. This home is by far the BEST place we have ever stayed. The accommodations are beautiful. Everything you can imagine needing is provided for your stay. We had elk visit us daily and even eat all the flowers out of the pots .... sorry Sue!!! You will not be sorry you stayed here and if you are like me this house will now be your yearly tradition!

The perfect home for a RMNP vacation!

We just finished a wonderful week at AspenHaus Lodge. The home is beautiful and in a very convenient location. Close to RMNP, but far enough away from the busy roads in Estes Park to offer a peaceful environment. There was plenty of room for our family of six to comfortably eat and relax together. Mark and Sue are wonderful hosts who have truly thought of everything. There were games for the kids to play, binoculars for wildlife viewing and the most fully stocked kitchen that we have encountered in our years of traveling. We travel with a Rubbermaid tub stocked with kitchen supplies that we routinely find missing when renting properties (sharp kitchen knives, spices, etc). This was the one trip that we could have taken without the "vacation tub". Mark and Sue could not be more gracious or responsive. They send emails prior to your trip with information that is very helpful in planning for your stay. If anything is needed while you are on property, they are easily accessible and quick to respond. One recommendation for those staying at AspenHaus Lodge. The hike from the house to the top of Eagle Cliff Mountain offers amazing views. It was a bit challenging for the younger kids in our family but provides a great "off the beaten path" experience.

Cancellation Policy-
If we receive notice 60 days (Peak)/30 days (non-Peak) before the date of your scheduled arrival, we will refund your deposit less $100 of it for administrative costs. If you notify us after 60 days but prior to 30 days from the date of your arrival, the full amount of your deposit will be retained. If you cancel within 30 days of the date of your arrival, you will be held responsible for the full amount of the charge for lodging. Note: For rentals of 30 days or more no refund will be given for cancellations within 120 days of reservation.
In all cases we will make every effort to re-book the property; and, if successful, we will refund a pro-rated share less administrative expenses.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
