Keowee Key is a gated 'Country Club' community surrounded by pristine Lake Keowee, which is over a mile wide and 22 miles long. This 18,000 acre lake is owned by Duke Energy. Our 1,450 sq. ft. condo home overlooks a large cove and part of the mile wide north section of the main lake. It is accessible by elevator and stairs, and has private parking in front. Primary benefits are the convenience of being an end unit with extra windows and having access to the stairs leading down to the leisure trail which is a 2.3 mile long paved, lighted walking path around the cove with access to the marina and beach. Major upgrades to the kitchen in 2012 including granite countertop, stainless steel sink, new glass top range, dishwasher and microwave. There are three televisions and a DVD player with a complete library of DVDs and many books for your use and enjoyment.
Also available for your use is a new fitness center with an indoor pool and pickle ball courts, plus numerous tennis courts with various surfaces. There is a charge for using the Fitness Center unless you rent for more than 90 days. The Keowee Key Clubhouse, with several dining rooms is a 10 minute drive away and major credit cards are accepted at the restaurants and adjoining 18 hole golf course. Rental pontoon boats are available at the Marina office where a new swimming pool is located.

Lynn & I knew of Keowee Key and Lake Keowee, but never visited until a long-time friend purchased a home and invited us for the weekend. After three days of perfect weather we were sold on this magnificent development, the mountain access location, and deep cobalt blue lake. After visiting several Tall Ship properties which were for sale, we left KK with hope that 'just the right' getaway unit would become available. After arriving home in Myrtle Beach, as we unpacked the phone rang and a golden opportunity presented itself. Based on our friends recommendation, we made an offer on Unit 236 sight unseen. Before the night was over, we owned it. Since the beginning of 2000, it continues to have been the right decision. As of 2012 we now live in Greenville, SC and are able to drive over to the condo to enjoy the things which drew us there in the past and in the future we look forward to using it more since it is so close.

Being at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, there are many beautiful Western N.C. areas to visit , usually over 3000 ft. elevation, in less than an hours drive!. These include 700 Ft. high Whitewater Falls, Stumphouse Tunnel, Whiteside Mountain, Skyline Parkway and numerous other waterfalls. A paradise for hikers, and nature lovers. Closer to home are several berry farms where you can 'pick your own' and there is the Clemson University Walker Golf Course close by. For those who like to shop, Cashiers and Highlands are less than an hour away and offer unique boutiques. Tanger Outlets stores are located on I-85 in Commerce (about an hour and a half away).
The front bay windows and patio face East so that the morning sun brightens the interior and patio seating from sunup until early afternoon. It is very close to the new Keowee Key pool complex and access to rental pontoon boats and the owner's kayak.
We have just spent three wonderful months at the lovely TS 236 condo @ Keowee Key. We could not have found a more quiet, peaceful, and beautiful setting to enjoy our vacation . The condo was clean and had everything anyone would need in order to enjoy themselves. We especially enjoyed the second floor end unit location overlooking the marina cove. The owners were very nice, understanding, and helpful in whatever assistance they could provide to make our stay pleasurable. We hope some day to return to this lovely place.
Lake Keowee is one of the greatest lakes for vacationing on that we've ever visited, and this condo in Keowee Key was the perfect place to enjoy it from! When we arrived we found everything as advertised, and the condo was spotless. Well-equipped kitchen, books and DVDs, and a nice balcony for cocktail hour. We really enjoyed the sandy beach and walking the leisure trail. Sadly a month was hardly long enough to sample all the other amenities of this wonderful community. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful with the rental process, and responded to any questions within hours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this rental!
When we arrived on New Year's Day it was as if we had arrived "home" after traveling the USA for 5 months! The condo was sparkling clean and well furnished with extra sheets and towels and everything we needed in the kitchen. As long-term renters we took advantage of the well-equipped fitness center, minutes away, and of the walking path, just outside our door. The view of the lake and marina from the balcony was a daily event. The owners were such a delight and very easy to work with. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Keowee Key! Thanks for everything!
Our stay here was for the month of August 2015. The condo was clean and well furnished. The view was excellent. All of the local amenities were very nice and we used most of them. The walking path was also great. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who wants a great getaway at lake Keowee. Th owners are very pleasant and easy to deal with.
We stayed in this condo for a month and was very pleased with the accommodations. Great location, beautifully furnished, and well maintained! The owners are extremely nice and helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities offered at Keowee Key such as the lake, golf course, fitness center, pool, and restaurant! We strongly recommend this property and would love to go back again!
We booked this condo for one week at extremely short notice and, despite the challenges of international banking, Lynn did everything too help expedite the booking. The overall customer service from both Lynn & Dick was first-class. We are familiar with Keowee Key from previous visits and this is the best condo we have rented. The condo is in an excellent location and lacks for nothing; all the amenities of Keowee Key are at your disposal and the outdoor pool is fantastic (we used it most mornings before anyone else was awake). We will definitely be looking to rent this condo again, probably for a much longer period!
We spent 5 nights in this condo and wished we could have stayed longer. The condo has all the amenities you need for eating and feeling right at home or local restaurants are conveniently located nearby. We took daily, scenic walks around the lake and rented a pontoon boat from the friendly staff at the marina. Great for family or if you need a break to clear your mind with a ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains. I would highly recommend this property.
