About the Property

2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, up to 4

"A wonderful, unique, amusingly eclectic entire home that has been creatively refurbished in a quiet neighborhood of Livingston - perfectly located for accessibility to both the outdoor adventures in and around Yellowstone, as well as the hip city scene and eateries of Bozeman (approx. 25 min drive). The spacious home affords plenty of privacy, being located on a corner lot. The renovations are done with a thought to quality (solid hardware, etc. ) and all the provided amenities are eco-friendly. The home is extremely clean (even though it's very dog-friendly - we didn't have ours with, but maybe next time!) and there was no sense we were somehow sharing it with an absent permanent resident - i.e. all closets, cabinets, storage, etc. were empty and available to us. Juliann was easily reachable for any questions - she lives close by - but she provides guests with whatever level of privacy they wish. We love this place! (Every amenity one could think of, the quality and creativity of the furnishings, the privacy)

This house is less than a mile to the nearest Yellowstone River boat ramp, golf course and off leash dog park in a humble, family neighborhood on the east end of town. The bungalow is pet friendly There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twins. 2 full bathrooms. Very private backyard with deck and gas grill. The house is chocked full of warm character with wood floors, some original to the house, original board ceilings in kitchen and main bedroom., wonderful artistic flair in the palette and character. Original art work abundant on walls. We, as owner/operators try to run the house in the most sustainable, green way possible. Do not expect a highly watered groomed lawn. We only water plants and the plants that we have added are native. In dry years the lawn will also be dry. We do not use chemicals on the lawn either.

Livingston Montana, about 50 miles from the north door of Yellowstone National Park. The north door of the park is the only door that is open all year. The state hwy that leads from Livingston to Yellowstone National Park is scenic but a easy drive any time of year through the famous Paradise Valley. Livingston is on I90, 20 some miles from Bozeman, home of Montana State University. Livingston has the population of about 7,000, Bozeman is about 40,000.

Livingston is the most beautiful town in Montana. Stunning view down Main Street business district of the mountain range above. Lots of night spots.Livingston has several independently owned restaurants, several great independently owned breakfast spots, 2 live theaters, 1 first run movie theater and about a dozen art galleries.

Yellowstone National Park is 50 miles south of Livingston. The park is a must see any time of year. The absolute best months to go are not June, July and August because the park is crowded. The off months are fabulous. Livingston is situated 50 miles from the only door of Yellowstone that is open all year. Winter travel in Yellowstone is magical. You ride special snow coaches in to Old Faithful area. Other attractions are of course the Yellowstone River itself which is less than one mile from this cottage. The nearest boat access also. There is an off leash dog park just 3 blocks away. Livingston is surrounded by 3 mountain ranges, Absarokees, the Bridgers and the Crazy Mountain Range. All of these have ample opportunity for hiking, etc. Scenic drives are great too. Livingston is a town of about 7000. If you feel you need a bustling retail center Bozeman is only 25 minutes away, is the home of Montanan State University and is about 40,000 people.

About the owner: I am a working artist. We love Montana and the Livingston culture. We are active hikers, bicyclists and nature enthusiasts.

Why the Owner Chose Livingston, MT, USA:
great place to come to either get away from it all or for outdoor adventures. great for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers. works equally well for artists and writers as sanctuary. Big corner lot with next door neighbors only from the backyard. Private back yard completely fenced for dogs or privacy.

The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
very private back yard, pet friendly - less than one mile from nearest Yellowstone River access with river shuttle service available for a fee- less than one mile to golf range and golf course. Livingston is a fabulous little town with wonderful home town village feel. Night spots and breakfast spots are numerous. Plenty of outdoor guide services available for those who want to fly fish or hike and would like help. Also great rafting and floating. as far as the home itself, it is very clean with wood floors every where, very cute homey atmosphere with a back deck and private back yard. we practice sustainable efforts with bamboo towels, cotton sheets, down comforters, etc. You will not find a highly groomed lawn. What you will find is native plants and if the year is dry then the lawn is too.
