Wonderful Cottage!

I totally enjoyed my stay. The cottage was just the right size for me! Clean, cozy, and convenient. A quick walk to the lake to watch the boats made it so relaxing. Loved it!

Nice little place! Will stay again when in the area.

  • 3 of 5

Our stay at the cute little cottage was great! We had everything that we needed to make our stay stress free. The price was right for us. It was clean and it fit our needs perfectly. I would recommend this cottage to any couple that needs a place to sleep after a day at the beach and shopping around the town and eating at local restaurants. We primarily cooked our meals at the cottage when we didn't go out, it was a nice option for us. Give the little cottage a try if there is only 2 of you- you wont regret it!

Very cozy and well setup for two! The property was very clean and perfect for us. We used the gas grill for two outdoor dinners - enjoying the cool evenings. Thanks again!

Our respite!

  • 5 of 5

We felt like we were living in the neighborhood. The area was quiet. There were hikes nearby. Bike paths in the area are great. We walked to Lake Michigan several times. Oh and there are good ice cream cones available nearby!

Just the right size

  • 4 of 5

This sweet little cottage is very comfortable in so many ways. The location is great, the neighborhood is pretty and very walkable, and the owner has paid good attention to the furnishings chosen, including a very comfortable mattress. The grill was especially enjoyed, and the dishwasher was a real treat to have.

Since we both like to cook (and save money), a few small suggestions to really make this a little jewel:

Upgrade the flatware. There were only two teaspoons, and the quality was really poor.

Add a set of steak knives.

Replace the coated fry pans.

Provide salt and pepper, at the very least. We left behind a half roll of paper towels, and some aluminum foil.

Have a welcome/FAQ manual about stuff in the area, and information about the property itself, like internet information.

And like some others have posted, being able to open the windows with screens would be appreciated. I love fresh air!

Bob was really easy to work with, and when we realized we would not be arriving within a specific time window, he graciously offered to refund the first night, and meet up with us early the next day to provide the keys and a refund check.

All in all, a very positive and enjoyable stay! If you choose this cottage, you will not be disappointed.

Efficient, well supplied cottage. Quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view.

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our three week stay at this cottage on the lake. Walking through the woods and enjoying the water view was plus for this vacation. Our Internet was missing the first week but problem solved after a few calls to the owner.
