June SPECIAL $104/night - INCREDIBLE DEAL!!!!!
Welcome to Hale Pali Uli (rough translation: “House in Paradise”)! Located in the cozy and quiet Hale Moi complex in Princeville, our condo is perfect to serve as your home base as you explore the exotic sights and awe-insipring beauty of Kauai. It is rentable three different ways (Loft side $134/night, Studio side $114/night or both together for $229/night) and thus can be tailored to serve your exact needs. Be SURE and watch the VIDEO here (scroll through all of the photos - it's at the very end). It's a magical home and rest assured I will take care of you!
The view from our condo is a very nice showcase for the north shore's rugged beauty. Off the lanai to the right, take in an unspoiled view of Bali Hai (see photos and video), the oceanside mountain peak made famous in the movie South Pacific. When the sun sets over or near Bali Hai, the evening sky comes alive with a kaleidoscope of color. It’s a memory to last a lifetime. Then, straight off the lanai over the treetops of a lush, tropical greenbelt sits the Namolokama mountain range. After rain showers, these mountains often have two, three, sometimes more than a dozen cascading waterfalls - it's really something to see. For both of these sights, you won’t even have to leave the comfort of your lanai. (also on the lanai there is an awesome hammock chair!)
One of the best things about Hale Moi is it is really small and low-key - our building is four total units. Our condo is a corner, second-floor unit (up only 6 steps!) with two separate sides, vaulted ceilings, a 35-foot-long lanai, and everything to make your stay cozy and comfortable. The condo has Serta plush top mattresses, fine linens throughout (including comforters), a 32' flat panel TV, CD/iPod player, and all kitchen accessories. The Loft side has a king bed, queen bed in loft, full kitchen, and washer/dryer. The Studio side has a king bed and kitchenette (mini-fridge/microwave/toaster oven/coffee maker/crock pot/dishes and you can of course use the gas and charcoal BBQs to cook). Each side has a living/dining area, its own private lanai and is light and airy and cooled by ceiling fans and the fresh air of the trade winds.
Hale Pali Uli is perfectly located to serve as your base camp for exploring the North Shore of Kauai (see Google maps, below). Three beaches are within a five or ten minute walk, with the closest being Pu'u Po'a beach. Across the street, down a paved pathway, and as gorgeous and secluded as you’ll ever see - it's like having your own personal beach! A half-dozen other beaches are within a 15 minute drive. Just down the street is one of the world's Top 10 sunset viewing spots (as voted by Traveler Magazine). For hikers, several trails are close-by, with the have-to-see-it-to-believe-it Kalalau Trail a 20-minute drive away. Whale watchers (Nov-Apr) can choose from several bluff-side, ocean overlooks that are within a couple minutes walk. The Makai golf course (recently renovated) is a half-mile away and the Prince course is just down the Kuhio highway. The one-of-a-kind Queens Bath, a rugged natural ocean pool carved out of a lava rock shelf and set against Bali Hai as a backdrop, is a 20-minute walk away.
$114/night for the Studio side, $134/night for the Loft side, and $219/night for both sides together (holiday rates are 10% higher). All rates plus 14.42% tax and $125 out-clean.

Mahalo and Aloha!

About John Anderson
I am a Texas resident (born and raised). Having first visited Kauai more than twenty years ago, I was captivated by the rugged, unspoiled beauty of the North Shore and the 'live aloha' lifestyle. As I quickly discovered and you may too, Kauai can steal your heart - it still has mine!
John Anderson purchased this Condo in 2010
Why John Anderson chose Princeville
The north shore of Kauai is just a one-of-a-kind place. Beautiful, spiritual, and exotic all at the same time, and with the friendliest people on the planet. Why own anywhere else?
What makes this Condo unique
A typical day might start with a long, relaxing walk with the mountains/waterfalls on one side and the ocean on the other, then a choice between half-a-dozen pristine beaches, maybe some golf or whale watching, and be capped off with a sunset over Bali Hai. And the best part is, we get to do all again the next day!

Has everything you need
This was a great little place for one or 2 people. The view from the balcony was amazing! Well equipped little kitchenette had everything we needed. Good location to explore lots of great places on the island and walking distance to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.
Airy modern condo with amazing view
This place is in a prime location for north shore Kauai. The view of forest and mountains out the back makes it really special. It is airy with good cross breezes; you won't miss the AC. You can walk to a couple of beaches (they require climbs down steep paths) and drive to many others.
John was a pleasant responsive host, available by email or phone, always ready to help.
There are a few weaknesses: the kitchenette has a minifridge that won't even freeze ice cubes. We bought bags of ice and kept them in the provided cooler. A lot of reviewers said the bed was comfortable, but we found it a bit too soft. Combined with king sized firm pillows this didn't work for me. I solved it by using my airplane bean bag pillow, then I slept like a baby. There could have been more towels, especially since there is no laundry, and there should have been more toilet paper (we just made it!). If you like to cook and want laundry facilities, I suggest renting John's loft ( next door) instead. We booked last minute, so it wasn't available.
All in all we had a wonderful stay, and we would definitely return!
Very Spacious Condo
Enjoyed our stay! Great location in Princeville -would highly recommend this
property for anyone looking for large studio. Nice balcony! Everything was
clean and perfect. The bed was comfortable!
Great time on Kauai
Thanks for everything John especially the generous gift certificate.
We can not express how much we enjoyed staying here during our stay in Kauai! This was our first time visiting the island and we couldn't have asked for a nicer host than Mr. Anderson. His unit was clean and comfortable and he adds that special touch of providing information on places to shop, play and his recommendations are spot on!
We have since been back to the island and stayed in a hotel near Lihue and there was no comparison after staying in Princeville at the studio and feeling like we were part of the island community and having a home away from home.
If you are looking at visiting the island don't be tempted by staying in a hotel/resort when you can enjoy your stay here and all the things to see and experience in this area of the island. We travelled all over the island hiking and taking in the sights and we could not have chosen a better place/area to be our home base!!
Maholo to Mr. Anderson and we look forward to booking with you again on our next visit!!

Great Kauai Experience!
John's Condo was exactly what we were looking for! Location was fantastic, close to many of the best beaches on the island (hanalei, ke'e, tunnels, hideaways); the views from the lenai were incredible. Bed was comfortable. John was also very prompt with responses and helped with local recommendations. would highly recommend this stay to anyone traveling to kauai.
Zip lining, tubing, sunset cruises, whale, seal & albatross watching (in season)
