About Jennifer

Our family has owned property on Harsens Island for over forty years. My husband and I both spent time on the Island as children. We now have children of our own and love spending time with them on the island. Taking morning walks to Walkers Landing for sweet summer treats, biking to the circle for great views of the Bay, or just ordering Pizza from Riverside Grille.

Jennifer purchased this cottage in 1999

What makes this cottage unique

The Island and our property offer many great summer activities, swimming in the lake or bay, fishing, duck hunting, boating, kayaking, bon fires, biking, and walking.

Relaxing home with a great dock

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful weekend of fishing and relaxing. Enjoyed the bonfires at night on the water. Caught perch all weekend off dock. Also caught a pike, bass and 8# catfish. Protected side canal where we kept our boat. Clean well furnished home. Jennifer promptly answered any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Time Had By All

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is amazing. My family had an awesome time. We rented the cottage to have Mother's Day Dinner and a few days of family time. Without a doubt this was one of the best vacations we have ever had (including the expensive Florida and Bahamas vacations). We never dreamed we could have such a great time 1 hour away from home. The dock is the best we saw on the island because it is family friendly. The dock is secure and the railing stable. My 10 year old grandson was able to fish in complete safety. The large dining room with the large family table is perfect for family brunch and dinner. Another amazing features is you can see water from every bedroom in the house. So everyone woke to a beautiful view. Our family plans to return in the fall for an "end of summer fun weekend". It was a great time had by all. Also, Jennifer was great and very accessible. She quickly responded to all inquiries and was always very helpful.

Charming historic cottage. This cottage and Jennifer have set the bar very high!

  • 5 of 5

This is it! This is the spot! Beautiful and charming cottage. Jennifer made it super easy for us. Preparing us before we got there and letting us know what we would need and what to expect when we arrived. The communications with her were so easy that we had a great feeling before we got there. She let us know that she was just a phone call away if we needed anything during our stay.

When you walk in the door you know you have made a great decision. The cottage is clean and decorated as an island cottage should be. Cute and cozy. The cottage is alot bigger than it looks from the photos. Also, very, very clean. I was amazed how a place as old as this could be so well maintained and so perfect. When we walked in to the upstairs bedroom, the sheen drapes were blowing in the wind, and looking out the windows, the river seemed so close. It was almost as if it was staged.

We went right to the dock on the river and spent the time hanging out and jumping into the nice cool water. There is a ladder right on the seawall to make sure the exit from the channel is easy as can be. We spent nights grilling and hanging out by the two fire pits. The outdoor enclosed shower was a great surprise. Taking a nice cool shower outside after swimming and running around all day was a really cool experience. It also was great to sit on the dock and watch all the different boats cruising by. I feel like we found a true gem on the island. I am counting the days till we can come back and visit my family's new favorite place.

Thank you Jennifer for maintaining that beautiful cottage as well as you have and for sharing it with our family.
