.The Musterfield House on the Registy of Historic homes Built in 1784, A spot on the underground railroad, a key location dispaching troups during the war of 1812 to the legend of the 200+ babies born there. You could write a book. But more important is the memories you can create on your stay. This house is excellent value .

This is the place for groups of 6-16.( plus spots for children) There are three large sitting rooms on the first floor. The family (14x30) , the sunroom (17x25) and the library. Noisy fun in one room, calm and quiet in another.Everything is designed for comfort and enjoyment.

One of peoples favorite feature has been the kitchen. With is huge center island, room for five cooks. You wont be alone even if you don't have 5 cooks, the kitchen adjoins the sunroom. There are three french doors that lead out to the deck and outdoor cooking and dining area. Eat in the formal dining room or the causual dining area in the sunroom.

The bedrooms are all spacious and sunny. Four are on the second floor. I have converted a downstairs room into a bedroom. In case you have a member of your group who has difficulty with stairs. There is also a first floor bathroom with a shower. There are twin beds in this room, they can be put together to make a king size, A full size new crib can be put wherever need. Several futons provide additional space. If your young people want to camp, we have a tent that can be put up outside..

If children are in your group, I have tried to prepare for their enjoyment. Games, Toys, a 12x3FT childrens swimming pool, tent,We want the young ones to have as much fun as adults. Children really enjoy sitting around the fire pit listening to ghost stories from the book I have. The backyard , 5 acres , is great for softball, soccer, and hide and seek

If you have visited the area you know of the 1st class activities you can particpate in. The arts offering are endless and considered some of the best in the country. Williamstown Theater Festival, Tanglwood, Jacobs Pillow dance, Barrington Stage, The Colonial, Shakespeare and co. and Lenox opera Then our museums. The Clarke, Williams College and the AMAZING new Mass Moca. One of the most interesting museums I have ever been to.

If outdoor activities are your taste. Great Golf, tennis, hiking, white water rafting, zip line. Horse back riding. I leave a binder in the house that informs of much of what is going on during your stay.

Keywords: Your own private Bed and Breakfast. Each room has beautiful decor. The outdoors, mountain views and all the amenities you could ask for.Sleeps up to 16 confortablely. Great for reunions, special occasions and vacations and holidays. This house is amazing value.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Friday night we gave a big party in the backyard other grads and their families. It was a fun way to start the celebration. We rented tables and chairs, but everything else we needed was there. The house had enough lovely bedrooms and baths for my parents, grandparents, and friends. The master suite is huge. It is such a beautiful spot

I booked this home not truly knowing what I had booked, I booked for my family and I really wanted something nice and special. We got more than we could have dreamed. There was plenty of room. The home and yes I said home because that is exactly how it felt. Was BEAUTIFUL, the pictures don't show all that it has. Beautifully decorated, everything that we needed was supplied and more than we ever thought. The owner did us better than right. I can not state in words just how happy I was and the rest of my family, everyone LOVED it. After getting there I didn't want to leave the property. The others got around town and the nearby places, I only visited a few, one was the lake right down the road, I enjoyed just staying at the home front. I tell you the truth if you book this home you will not be disappointed. It is truly the best place I have ever spent on vacation I can't wait until next year to book again. This was truly a God send. And I enjoyed it so much. I LOVED MY STAY.

Great home for a large family or group of friends

  • 5 of 5

Great week in the Berkshires. Family of 10 stayed here and had a fantastic time. Lots of space indoors and out (fantastic massive yard) to chat, read, cook, nap, play games. Whether you want to get away from everyone for a bit or immerse yourself in deep conversation, the home is great.

Rooms with a view

  • 5 of 5

A large group of us, 10 adults and 2 dogs, had a great time at this historic home. There was plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen is large, open and perfect for those who love to cook, and the backyard and patio were perfect for grilling and chilling. And the owner Corinne was very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay. Definitely check out Mass MoCA and there are plenty of nature trails and a beautiful state park nearby.

The pictures show a very lovely home. It is all that and more. We were celebrating my mother-in-laws 70th birthday.. The children (5 of them) were disappointed that we were "renting " a house. They sure grandma would prefer a trip to Disney . Well, the kids had such a great time.Wanted to know when we are going back. This house is huge, we all had plenty of space. The kichen is big enough for all of us to prepare meals. I highly recommend this house. We can't wait to return

Great family weekend

  • 5 of 5

We just spent the weekend at the Musterfield house and it was perfect! There were 10 of us and there was more than enough room. The house is beautiful and all the beds were very comfortable. Corinne had plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows provided for us to use. It was easy to find and much to do in the area. Corinne made renting easy and she was so nice even when we left something behind she found it and mailed it back to us. We can't thank her enough for the use of this great home and her hospitality. We will definitely rent from her again!

This house has everything! Our family enjoyed 10 days here, including Christmas day. The kitchen is huge with fabulous counter and cupboard space. We loved the island complete with an extra sink. There is a great selection of pots, pans, baking dishes, and appliances. We also loved the beautiful gold edged dinnerware that made meals here taste so elegant in the formal dining room.

This house was perfect for us. The library was a favorite cozy spot to go and read in peace and quiet. The living room adjacent to the kitchen was fantastic because the cooks could be a part of the festivities, while whipping up culinary delights. The family room was huge and was a great place to play late night, noisy games without disturbing the oldest and the youngest who had gone to bed earlier.

The bedrooms were huge and beautiful with very comfortable beds.

I can't say enough good things about this house. The owner is so responsive and very kind and flexible. We have rented many houses in the past, but my family all agreed that this one was tops! We hope to come back again.
