Only five minutes from downtown Santa Fe, yet undisturbed from any city noises, the Tesuque Hill guesthouse shares two and a half acres of land and stonewalled gardens with the owners’ home. It is a separate cottage with spectacular views of the Tesuque valley and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. A private stone patio with fireplace on the view side and a covered porch on the garden side surround the entire house so you may take full advantage of the beautiful views or the pleasant shade of the garden. In the spring, summer, and fall, the intimate glow reflected off the sunlit Sangre de Cristo mountains lights the lush green valley. In the winter, after a snowfall, the valley's bright pristine snowscapes are dazzling.
Your guesthouse is a Santa Fe style home with vigas, wooden ceilings, and tile floors throughout. It is decorated with exquisite ethnographic art. Inside the house you find a spacious fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a French door to the patio and a comfortable living room with a fireplace and large view windows. The bedroom has a queen bed and a French door opens to your private patio. You may enjoy the views even from the bathroom, which has a large tiled bathtub and a separate shower. In the living room a queen sofa bed can sleep two additional guests. Built-in closets offer plenty of space for your belongings.
The home is within comfortable walking distance of the famous Tesuque Village Market, El Nido, Shidoni Foundation and sculpture garden, and the Windsor Trail. It is only minutes away from the Santa Fe Opera and the historic Santa Fe Plaza.
The owner, William Siegal, loves meeting people from all over the world and sharing tips to discover the unique attractions of Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.

Very private and quiet country setting minutes from downtown. Secluded hiking and running trail right from the house.
We especially love the unique views and light our home offers of the Tesuque valley and the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. We enjoy making these pleasures available to our guests. Our guesthouse is decorated with rare textiles and objects from pre-Columbian, Asian, and African cultures from the William Siegal Gallery.
8/18/10 – 8/24/10: We found this guest house from a friend that has a house in the same area. This was a charming one bedroom guest house with amazing views. The owners, who live in the main house are very welcoming and really went out of their way to make us feel at home. I look forward to going back and having a glass of wine on the porch while I watch the light play against the mountains. We had a great time!!
The cottage is well located, very comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after full days exploring the area. The views from the house are lovely, the fireplace warming, the art work amazing and the kitchen stocked sufficiently for simple meal prep. Songbirds on dawn patrol and coyote songs at night bookended our days. William, though out of town, was very prompt in responding when we had questions, only sorry we didn't have a chance to meet and thank him personally.

It is hard to describe a magical experience. But staying in Tesuque in this wonderful casita was just such an experience. My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and it was all we hoped for. Great hosts, a beautiful setting and a cozy place to ourselves. We love to hike and there was plenty of that right out our front door. The views and sunsets were breathtaking while we enjoyed a glass of red wine on the casita deck at happy hour. Santa Fe was close enough to head into town whenever we wanted (5 minutes) but we were secluded enough that we felt like we had a private getaway in the mountains. We will definitely be back.
This property is the best casita that we've ever rented in Santa Fe. It's spacious, the views are amazing, there is so much storage that we felt like we had moved in, and Billy was so accommodating to our dog that she felt like she lived there, too. We will definitely be back.
This place was amazing. We loved that it was not in town. We were able to bring our dogs (thank you) and so being away from town was exactly what we were looking for. I am giving this place a 5 star review. The things that affected me, probably won't be important to others. I have Celiac Sprue Disease, so when I travel, a kitchen is mandatory. The pots and pans we didn't feel comfortable using - the teflon coating was all scratched up. We actually went to WalMart and bought pots and pans (we will now bring those when we travel) to use. Luckily, there was an amazing place that I could eat at so that worked out. There was another review about the temperature, we too, had to run the a/c most of the time we were there (we live in the mountains, 9000' so not used to desert heat). We had an amazing visit and so appreciate that we were able to bring our dogs (two have cancer, so this was priceless). We happened to visit while the owners were on vacation, so didn't get to visit with them. While I was making arrangements, they were very friendly and responded very quickly to my email questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat - but not in the summer!!!
We loved Billy’s Guesthouse! It has great views and a private patio for morning coffee and evening drinks to watch the sunsets. The sunken tub in the tiled bath is a great way to relax, with again views of the trees. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The fireplace was a fun way to end the evening around the fire.
You are just minutes from town. We found great restaurants, hiking trails, and took a cooking class. The Saturday Farmer’s Market was a blast!
Thanks Billy! We hope to return next year!
We couldn't have found a more perfect getaway! From the impeccable hospitality, charming and cozy home, and the magnificent views...Tesuque guesthouse was everything our souls needed to renew and recharge. The home is close enough to town and the plaza, yet secluded enough to experience pure peace and tranquility. It was perfect for us in every way...thank you for the opportunity to experience the transcendent awe and wonders of Santa Fe! We look forward to returning and pray Tesuque guesthouse will be available for our next stay! Thank you, again!
