Centrally located in Durango's historic district this comfortable 3 bedroom house is walking distance to Main Street shopping, restaurants, and the famous Durango and Silverton Railroad. The Animas River trail, parks, endless mountain biking trails, rafting, and more are close at hand. A sunroom, 36' flatscreen TV, ample couches, and a claw foot tub await inside. A well outfitted kitchen is set up if you decide to eat in, along with a gas grill on the shaded back patio. There is off street parking and a fenced yard.

I have lived here since 1985 and still have a long list of things I would like to see and do in this amazing area of the southwest. With the Weminuche wilderness and all of the rivers that we have close at hand, I can't think of a better place to raise a family. I have my seasonal work fitting together as a white water,hunting,and cat skiing professional guide. I also work in events production and management.

This house is centrally located downtown which makes it close to everything that Durango has to offer. It is a comfortable house with a lot of character.
We have included a couple of bicycles at the house for touring around town. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy some of Durango's miles of river front bike paths and endless mt. biking trails. Gold medal fishing on the Animas River is just a short walk, as is the train station and the museum for the DSNGRR.
Back again for another month. Location ,location. Walk downtown for everything. No deer on the block but a bear left scat by my car...5 blocks from downtown! We love Dgo and this house as a base for daytrips.
The location of this historic home in the heart of Durango was convenient to everything. Although homes in this area are spaced close together, we enjoyed the quiet and hardly noticed the neighbors. We could easily walk to Main St. with its shops and restaurants. There were two of us and the house had all that we needed. When we had a question about a minor electrical issue, the owner was very responsive.
The off street parking was nice to have when it snowed; access from the alley was perfect. We were very pleased with the rental and recommend it.
Wonderful, quirky home with outstanding location----just blocks from Main. Liquor store ,pizza,coffee shop all nearby. You feel like a local . Home has everything you need, Could be a little warm in the upstairs bedroom but a small ac has been added to help with this.
Has excellent wifi and TV, very comfortable living area. Kids loved TV in upstairs bedroom and the fenced in backyard. We would come back
The house was everything listed and more. The upstairs bedroom suite is huge plus there are two more bedrooms downstairs. It's right across the street from a school with a park, which your kids will love.
Its an easy five block walk to downtown. Our son loved the train depot! Be sure to check out Ken & Sue's for a nice dinner out when you aren't cooking in the all equipped kitchen.
Dale was very helpful and answered all our questions about the place and things to do in Durango. I highly recommend this rental any time of the year.
My 3 year old daughter, wife and I stayed at this property for a summer get-away to beautiful southwest Colorado. I'm an avid mountain biker and came for the amazing trails and fishing nearby. I hit some of the famous Durango trails (Horse gulch, Test tracks and Animas Mounain) right out the backdoor. What a feeling not having to load the bike in my car for a great ride! My wife and I were really impressed by the house and the amenities there. Comfortable and spacious with a great kitchen and fun upstairs. My wife enjoyed the close proximity to downtown shopping and restaurants. Great brewery nearby too. My daughter stayed entertained in the fenced backyard and the large elementary school playground across the street. We were all fascinated by the old steam train you can hear pulling into downtown, hauling passengers into the mountains. Overall a great house and excellent loaction for whatever we wanted to do. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
