Why The Owner chose Sarasota

I love this neighborhood for its peace and quiet, central location, large backyard, warm neighbors, and location in the Museum District.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

I am a bit late in my review! But a family member was asking for the link for where we stayed and I was reminded to put a word in. We could not have asked for a better experience for our family of 6.

The house itself is lovely. It is in a quiet neighborhood, close to the water, downtown, and Ringling. Everything inside was well-kept, clean, and well-supplied. The patio, pool, and grill are all enclosed and were perfect for our 4 kiddos and easy meals outside. There are toys for the water in the laundry room as well. The neighborhood is safe and the house has a security system as well.

Peggy, the owner, was a complete pleasure to work with from my very first inquiry email. She was flexible and honest and accommodating. We had a slight issue with the pool during our stay and she responded immediately and the issue was resolved. She thought of everything- from small details within the home, to sharing concern about keeping the doors locked to the pool for the kids safety. This is definitely a home away from home. Peggy truly helped make our vacation experience perfect. I could not recommend staying here more, and we look forward to coming again!

Very nice, cozy home in quiet location!

  • 5 of 5

The bottom line: A very serious, trustworthy and helpful owner of a very nice home, cozy home in a quiet neighborhood!

This was our first time using HomeAway to book a vacation, and the experience could have not been better and easier. Thanks Peggy!

Peggy (the owner) has been great person to deal with (quick responses/personal follow up/great recommendations). Furthermore she is a very trustworthy and made it easy to deal with her. The house is nicer than what you can see in the pictures. Everything is renovated and everything works. It is as simple as that.

The screened pool/patio with a nice grill was a real plus. We really enjoyed it. In addition, the house had a very good central AC (good it is hot is Sarasota in late June/early July), great high speed Wi-Fi, good cable service and a very secure property in a quiet location.

If you are looking for a quiet and cozy home near the Ringling college of Art and incredible Ringling Museum, this is the one! It is also conveniently located within a mile+ from downtown and just 1.5mi+ from Lido Key.

Thanks Peggy. You made our first visit to Sarasota a great and memorable time. We will definitely come back!

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. I always rent a home when we go on vacation, all have been very nice , but this home was the nicest I have ever rented. We felt at home the moment we walked in the door. Peggy (the owner) has thought of everything to have assessable for our convenience. The private yard was perfect for my dogs to play in and the crystal clear pool and spa for us to relax in. We enjoyed our morning coffee out in the lanai and going for a early morning swim. The house was emaculately clean and very well kept. We were just minutes from stores , the beach and sightseeing. We will definitely come back next year. Heck, we didn't want to leave! Thank you Peggy for everything!!

Dream Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent a fabulous werk in this home with our two Yorkies. The home is comfortable and welcoming with everything anyone could possibly need. The hot tub and pool are so very relaxing after an exciting day of sightseeing and the dogs romped in the secure yard for hours. The house on its own is great, but when you factor in the location it is phenomenal. You are only minutes from the amazing park by the bay ( you must try the Cuban sandwich at Marina Jack's there ), St. Armands circle and Lido beach. Just a short drive puts you in Siesta Key or on Anna Maria island. We are already planning our next stay! To top it all off, the owner is a dream to work with and always helpful.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. You were wonderful guests, and I only wish there were a spot on this website where owners could rave, too. Wish I could have seen your dogs enjoying the back yard!

We agree with Marge. We just completed our two week stay and it was one of my most relaxing vacations. The house is conveniently located to the beach, shopping and Sarasota Bay. We brought our kayaks and it is a easy walk to the bay (with a kayak cart). We made friends with three manatee's one day! My wife and I also enjoyed biking throughout the adjoining neighborhoods.

Peggy was great to work with and very prompt responding to any inquiries. Many thanks to Peggy for all her help. We will be back!

Spacious, relaxing Getaway Home

  • 5 of 5

We really didn't want to leave! Our one week at this house was so relaxing, thanks to Peggy's anticipation of every need to make us feel like we were "home". The wifi was easy to set up and use; the cable TV in the LR and Master BR was robust with options; the 6' fence around the backyard (lot is nearly 1/3 acre) was perfect for our 2 Afghan Hounds to run free in yard; the pool and Jacuzzi were beautiful for R&R, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with luxurious linens and blankets. The owner is incredible. She has put together a house that feels like home. The HUGE walk in closet made it easy to unpack and settle in. Night lites throughout the house make it safe to wander around inside after dark (there's also an automated light on the pool at night). We would TOTALLY recommend this rental. It is a quiet neighborhood, within a short easy drive to Sarasota's attractions. We'll definitely go back. We've stayed at many Homeaway or VRBO homes on vacation, and this house was absolutely The Best!
