Manzanita Permit #1596
My husband, 4 yo daughter and I stayed at this property for two nights over Thanksgiving this year. The location is excellent, no view of ocean but you are just a 5 minute walk to it. The property itself is nice, the bedrooms are spacious enough and the upstairs living area is great - open concept, nice kitchen/dining/living area where everyone can be together but be doing different things. Loved the gas stove for cooking too. Here's why I can only give 3 stars:
1) things that didn't work - one of the reclining seats in the living room was all messed up and not usable. another one got stuck on recline. The master bath shower was not working properly (could not get water from tub to shower head) - husband had to fiddle with it for quite a while to get the shower head going
2) NOISY neighbors - this is a townhouse. The neighbors, who by the way were not a bunch of partiers but rather a nice group of folks with a dog, could be heard quite easily through the walls of our master bedroom. We ended up going next door to ask them to be a little extra quiet around 10 pm. So, REALLY thin walls.
3) Master bedroom is upstairs and others are downstairs, straight down hall from front door to outside. I didn't feel comfortable putting my 4 yo down there by herself (nor was she). Luckily the master is large enough and we just put her on a twin mattress on the floor in there. But, given the noise issue mentioned earlier, this meant that she had to try to ignore the noise next door in order to go to bed around 8 pm. I may have missed this detail in the description (the master up and other beds down) - probably only an issue for those with one kid/one young kid.
All around, a solid place, but with the price point I was expecting it to be a bit more of an experience.
Great spot, super close to the beach and town, just a few blocks! Well kept, good floorpan, maybe better for one family than two couples. Manzanita is the best!!
Excellent! Absolutely beautiful vacation rental. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was exactly what we needed for 4 people. The kitchen and living area were outstanding for 4.
Great place to stay to explore one of the best little beach towns. Manzanita is such a fun little town
Very nice spot close to the beach. Quiet and well appointed. We were only two but it could accommodate 6 easily. We had a lovely stay
You cannot beat this house for convenient access to the beach and also the town center of Manzanita. You don't have a view of the beach or water but you can walk there in just a few minutes. House was very clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms and kitchen were quite modern. We would enjoy returning someday.
