This listing is for a remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath full-ground-floor flat in the North Beach / Telegraph Hill neighborhood. This is the historic area that you want to stay during your San Francisco holiday. When you see commercials, movies or television shows that feature San Francisco - this is the neighborhood.

The entire 1909 Edwardian building has just been remodeled, including upgraded plumbing and electrical. The unit has beautiful views of San Francisco Bay, the Embarcadero and the Bay Bridge. The building is located near Coit Tower and the Barbary Coast Trail. The building has been featured on the 'Streets of San Francisco' and this part of the street has been in several films such as 'Basic Instinct' and 'The Hulk'. World famous artists and photographers have featured this portion of Montgomery street in their works. This a sweet location for both leisure and business travelers.

This property has a WALKSCORE rating of 100 out of 100.

The property features modern and comfortable conveniences, with professionals and business travelers in mind. Although the property is newly remodeled, I have maintained the historic high ceilings, hardwood floors and classic Edwardian facade. The two main bedrooms will have new hotel quality mattresses, linens and bath towels. The newly remodeled kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is stocked with utensils and cookware for five adults. The third bedroom is small and is furnished a twin bed and a small desk.

The flat also includes: in-unit washer and dryer, high-speed internet (available through a secured WI-FI network, cable television.

Master Bedroom:

King Bed - Simmons Black Collection

40' Flat Screen TV

En-Suite Bathroom with Shower

Partial Bay Views

Bedroom 2:

Queen Bed Bed - Simmons Black Collection

Partial Bay Views

Bedroom 3:

1 Twin Bed

Although this is a ground floor unit, it is located on a hill so access for wheelchairs and strollers could be tricky. No parking is offered with the unit and I don't recommend travelers rent autos during their stay here since San Francisco is a difficult place to find parking. A car is unnecessary and there are many car sharing services available in the neighborhood.

This is my private unit, so it is not designed to be a boarding house or hostel. I am looking for responsible people that will take good care of the place. For reservation or property information, please call me.

About Richard

My name is Richard and this building has been in my family for over 50 years. I am graduate of the Golden Gate Schools of Law and Business - both located just down the street from the property. I was born and raised in the neighborhood and I know this unique and diverse city very well. I am happy to answer any questions to make your stay enjoyable. For property and reservation information, please call me.

Richard purchased this apartment in 1950

Why Richard chose San Francisco

My father bought this property for its proximity to Chinatown, Downtown, the Financial District, the Embarcadero, North Beach and Russian Hill. He worked on ships and on the waterfront his whole life and never needed a car when he lived here. I do not suggest travelers attempt to drive or rent a car when staying in san Francisco. When I stay here, I walk or take taxis. While cab fares are not as inexpensive as in Buenos Aires or Rio De Janeiro, they are competitive with other major cities.

What makes this apartment unique

This one-of-a-kind property is located near Coit Tower and the Barbary Coast Trail. You can enjoy the view with your significant other The neighborhood offers everything in walking distance... from small convenience stores and cafe's to Michelin two star restaurants like Coi. In the morning, you can easily stroll to the Cafe Trieste or Blue Bottle Cafe at the Ferry Building to pickup a coffee. If you are patient, you can brave the breakfast line at Mama's, across from the park. You can spend the rest of the morning exploring all the landmarks of the neighborhood and boutiques of Grant Avenue. If need be, recharge with a midday slice of the Coit Tower Special at North Beach Pizza for lunch or a simple gelato in Washington Square Park. In the summer, bring a swimsuit and sunbathe with the other beautiful people. For dinner, you can walk down to Gerald Hirigoyen's Piperade for excellent Basque cuisine. If you still have room, follow that up with a handmade soufflé' from Cafe Jacqueline. Still awake? You can adventure out to world class bars and nightclubs and stumble back whenever you like. San Francisco offers everything for the night owl... you just need to know where to look.

A perfect location in San Francisco.

This flat perched on the top of Telegraph Hill had amazing views and was in a perfect location. All the bedrooms had comfortable beds and bay views, well lit bedrooms with nice TVs and lots of closet space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to feel at home. Upon arrival everything was extremely clean and ready to go, towels laid out, and there were even a few snacks left for us! Just two blocks from the historic Grant & Green Street Pub, and a quick walk to all the North Beach restaurants, a very quick walk down to the financial district as well. Anyone that is trying to experience San Francisco should book this apartment! Easy access to lots of neighborhood by foot, or a quick cab/bus ride away from other parts of the city. The owner was easy to get a hold of at all times, and was very helpful and accommodating with check-in and check-out. I highly recommend this clean and comfortable North Beach apartment!

Excellent location and awesome owner

  • 5 of 5

The property is in a great location, walking distance from just about everywhere, or a quick Uber ride. The owner greeted us and showed us around; he also made suggestions about things to do nearby. The apartment was clean and everything worked as expected. The hill incline was steep, but it was worth the climb.

Great property and owner

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our time in San Francisco, and in this great apartment. So much better here than staying near the Wharf in a hotel.

Close to everywhere, the Wharf, Ferry Building, Coit Tower, Chinatown, the Embarcadero, and the Financial District.

The apartment has great sleeping accommodations, and is laid out nicely. It is on a steep hill, but we managed fine, and you have great views from two of the Bedrooms. By staying on this quiet street, you had the feel you actually lived there, and weren't just your typical tourist.

Walked basically everywhere, and when we're in a hurry, just got Uber to pick us up within 5 minutes.

Would love to visit again , and would definitely plan it around this location being available!

Awesome property and owner!

  • 5 of 5

We were so very happy with this property. The owner was really easy to work with and very responsive. The property itself is just as it is shown in the pictures here. It was clean and comfortable and on a quiet street. We are a family of 5 and this met our needs perfectly. The one thing I'd say is to be prepared for the San Francisco incline if you intend to walk, which we did a lot of. After a long day of enjoying the city, that final climb up Telegraph Hill really required me to push myself, but it was worth it since we ended up in such a great property with enough space to relax and unwind. You won't regret the decision to rent this property or work with this owner! Double thumbs up!

Amazing place and location in SF!

  • 5 of 5

We, a family of 5, just returned from SF and really enjoyed staying at this place. From the beginning, Richard was very professional and answered all the questions I had. The location was AMAZING! A short walk to all bus stops, street car stops and to Fishermans Wharf. Yes, there are steep hills, but our kids age 11,9 and 8 had no problem running up and down the hills every day. The condo is exactly as in the picture. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit SF!

Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

This house is a great location, within a 10 minute walk of the Financial district, Chinatown, North Beach, the Embarcadero, and Coit Tower. It has beautiful views of the Bay Bridge, and a quick walk up to Coit Tower rewards with an even nicer view, without the parking hassle. The house is clean, well-equipped, and the owner was great to work with. Richard was responsive and helpful. Don't hassle with a rental car and parking since an Uber or Lyft car can pick you up in 2 or 3 minutes from this location. I would not recommend this for six travelers since the pull out bed is uncomfortable, although it would be fine for a smaller child.

Close to everything

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed our 4-night stay. Location is very central, with easy access to Embarcadero, Chinatown and North Beach. Much less expensive for our family of 5 than three hotel rooms, and the kitchen and den area were utilized at the end of long days of sightseeing. Even had a great view down Montgomery Street to the Financial District and out the Master BR window to the Bay Bridge.
