About Todd & Mary

We purchased our Vail condo in 1999 and have enjoyed sharing the experience with our guests since day one. Vail holds many memories for our family and we try to find time to enjoy the beauty of the mountains as often as we can.

Todd & Mary purchased this condo in 1999

Why Todd & Mary chose Northwest

When I was young my parents owned a condo in Vail and I learned to ski in Vail. I now share a similar experience with my family. Vail offers some of the best skiing in Colorado and consistently ranks as one of the top ski resorts in North America. Although best know for it's skiing, Vail also offers a wide range of summer activities. Our family enjoys the summers in Vail just as much as we do the winters.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your place was wonderful. The pack and play worked out well, and the child gate was perfect... we have 2 yr old twins! We really enjoyed staying in your lovely home, and found everything to be well organized. Thanks so much, we hope to be able to stay there again.

Nice Vail Colorado Ski Condo!!!

VRBO Bear stayed here

Feb 25, 2011

What an amazing place to come out of hibernation!!! As you may know I’m not your typical bear because I find it hard to stay in my rock cave when there are such lavish comfortable places to stay and play in my native mountains. Vail is one of my favorite ski hills in all of Colorado and this cozy condo fits Bears and cubs just right. If skiing is your activity, the free Vail busses will pick you up just a block away, which is only a 10 min ride to Vail Village. I found this extremely convenient since the condo home base to me and my traveling companions. Since the streams were frozen and hard to scoop fish out of, we were happy to find a shopping center 5 min down the road. The shopping center provided everything including a grocery store, liquor store, sports store with rental gear and restaurants. If you forgot something at your den or needed anything, you could find it there. The main floor of the condo is great for family or group together time. The kitchen, dining and lounge area are wide open and will keep everyone together. There is a great deck with lots of privacy just off of this great room. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need to whip up a meal before or after your day of mountain adventuring. When its time to clean up and retire for the evening we were surprised no one had to fight for a shower. Each bedroom has its own adjoined full bathroom. This mountain escape is perfect for families, a few couples, or a few bear buddies looking to get away and enjoy the pristine mountain air. I’ve already recommended this place to all of my friends in the National Forest and will recommend it to you as well. Enjoy!! The VRBO Bear

Great condo! Perfect vacation home for our family!

  • 5 of 5

Clean, beautiful, perfect open concept for big families to eat and spend time together. Loved that everyone had their own bathroom! Owners were immediately responsive to any questions. Will definitely recommend this condo!

Great spot; clean; convenient.

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled when we walked in the door. The directions were spot and and upon entering the unit, it was clear that they set up the property to be a great rental. We didn't spend a ton of time inside the into, since we could walk to Lionshead for dinner and the shuttle for skiing was a short walk to the shuttle

If we are lucky enough to return to Vail, we'd definitely stay here.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled all over the world and always stay at condos and houses since we have a large family of 5.

This property is one of the few that provides the little things that made a big difference. Starting with spices and condiments, to paper towels and coffee filters. These are the items that you generally have to go tot the local store and pay 3 times the normal price. While this may seem small to some, this till stood out as a well run VRBO to me.

Thanks, the DiFiore family.

Great home in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Unlike some VRBO homes we've stayed in, this home actually looks just like the photos! It was very clean, very comfortable and in a great location. There is tons of room, and the owners have thought of everything - there were hairdryers, all kitchen utensils...even an espresso machine. Super close to Vail Village (pretty sure it was under a 5 minute drive).

Highly recommend staying here, we will if we return in the future...which I am sure we will since Vail wasn't open for skiing due to the weather...but even with that, Loveland was open and it was about 45 minutes away.

Great place, great stay

  • 5 of 5

I stayed there with my wife and two kids and we had a great time. The place is spacious and is a very close drive to everything. The owners were very responsive when I had a question during the stay which was great. Loved the fireplace and balcony. Overall great experience.

Great inside property! Lacked accessibility and some construction disruptions :(

  • 3 of 5

The property was great and as advertised. My kids loved the place and we did as well - there was good separation between the living and sleeping spaces so we could still be up while the kiddos slept. There was outside construction going on behind the unit which made opening the doors or windows very load and unpleasing. One day there were also people there painting the exterior balconies. Not only did we not have any warning of this activity, but the workers were very load, cussing and smoking immediately outside the unit. I eventually asked them to leave as my toddler was napping and the disruptions (even with everything closed up!) became unbearable. Unfortunately the HOA did not let the owner know either. The owner was cordial in response, but offered nothing for the disturbances.

Also, while the unit was relatively close to things, there were no trails along the road. It is a bit of a precarious walk until you get to the frontage road sidewalk (which is unnerving with a stroller or a walking young kid).

If you come to stay here, recommend bringing your own throw blankets if you plan to hang out on the couches as there didn't seem to be any in the unit.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed our condo. Sorry you missed the throw blankets. We have two very comfortable blankets located under the end table by the sofa. We once again apologize for the noise disturbances. We immediately contacted the HOA which in turn contacted the workers. In addition, the HOA said it will provide notice ahead of time before any new projects begin.
