Agree with the positive comments of others re: it's a great house in a good location in a quiet neighborhood, with comfortable sofas/nice open floor plan, 2 separate bedroom suites perfect for 2 couples to share (along with bedrooms on other side of the house we never used). Kitchen was equipped fine for us, and we cooked in quite a bit. House was clean, and it had plenty of towels/bedding.
Loved the short 10-minute walk to the beach each morning for exercise, and also loved spending a lot of time by the pool which is a bit larger than most, allowing us to do daily lap swimming. It was heated to the perfect temperature too. It was a quick 5-minute walk to the main street for restaurants, fun shopping, nail salon, and great hair salon too. We have been going to Siesta Key for 6 years now and love having several weeks to enjoy this great little beach town with the best beach ever. This was our favorite home of all the ones we have rented in this area.
Cannot say enough great things about the management company who was extremely responsive (literally within minutes of any email I sent) as there were some repair issues that needed handled: microwave broken which was known by the owner but there was no note on it yet there was a spare one located on a lower shelf-- after we called, a new one was installed; shredded pool cover that was supposed to be replaced a year ago but apparently wasn't; leak under the sink that flooded the lower shelf, which must have been previously known since there was a container underneath to catch the drips), lamps lacking light bulbs, and the sliding doors were very hard to open -- apparently will require more extensive repair. Regardless, we truly enjoyed our stay and would return. We appreciated the prompt response from the management who also kindly and fairly compensated us for the inconveniences, but would suggest some proactive repairs by the owners/management rather than reactive responses.
This house was just amazing and beautiful. the house in the perfect spot of siesta keys. Easy short walks to the beaches and all restaurants/ shops. The rooms were perfect with amazing air conditioning and heating when needed. The pool was great, big and spacious the perfect thing to cool down in. there is also an out door shower it was amazing quality, strong and powerful. in the garage we found a lot of toys and floats/ water guns to play with in the pool, we even left some more behind. this was very convenient. There were a few let downs to this house unfortunately; The garage door did break in the middle of our stay and the sliding doors to the pool were very hard to open and close at times due to the stiffness and the fact there were no handles on the door. however service came its way when they needed to fix the garage door and service the pool, Which hadn't been cleaned for some time prior to our arrival and would occasionally become green, apparently due to storms. Apart from these issues and general cleanliness, The house could do with a good clean and some new furnishing. There was not enough bedding, or kitchen utensils and pans, so the large kitchen Wok is a present from us for future residences! :) The rug underneath the dining table was infested with something that bites so the rug was rolled up by us and thrown into the garage, we recommend that you do the same! p.s you do need to buy your own toilet roll luckily we bought some just incase from publix. There was a mysterious orange stain on the blinds but lets just forget about that! the en suites on the right side of the house were absolutely astonishing, it literally makes you feel like your in a 5 star resort! we found the queen sized bed opposite the double twin bed room acceptionaly comfortable. the best thing about this house was how at home we felt and honestly missed it as soon as we left to go back home. it is very comfortable everyone is so extremely friendly!! you have a lot of privacy from your neighbours it feels like no one lives near you. its like your own little world. there are two door either side of you when your in front of the pool they lead to your very own garden with some lovely chairs and a table to sit around. we advice you very strongly to NOT swim in the lake due to us knowing that there are more than just fish in their and are most likely to be sharks in their too. we found a wild sting ray in there. the garden is filled with palm trees... to be continued
This is our second time at staying at this location. Perfect location to the village and the beach. Rooms were spacious but they need to replace the mattresses
They were quick to respond to repairs that needed to be done (ie garage door). They did need more utensils and pans. Four spoons and one small skillet not sufficient. Need to replace sliding glass doors or put handles on them. Extremely difficult to open especially with little kids
My family traveled down here over Christmas this year. We had 8 adults and 4 young children and this house worked perfectly. It is spacious and setup really well. 2 Bedrooms on 1 side that share a bathroom and 2 bedrooms on the other side of the house that each have their own bathroom. The rooms were nice sized and clean. The living room and kitchen were wide open and looked directly out to the pool. The pool was great. We paid extra for it to be heated and it worked our really nice for the young kids. There was a nice outdoor table and some lounge chairs to it was perfect for relaxing. The house worked perfectly.
The location was even better. It was within a few blocks from everything. We rented a wagon for our 2 year old and 5 year old and would throw them in the wagon and walk down to all of the restaurants, shops, coffee shop, grocery store, beach, etc. We did not need a car the entire time we were there! They also have free golf cart rides where the drivers just worked off tips. That was very handy the day we went down to the south side of the island.
A couple tips: I rented some toys from ABC rental which worked out perfectly. They dropped the stuff of so it is there when we arrived and I set it out on the steps the day we left and they came and picked it up. The house also had little kids toys and extra beach stuff including umbrellas and chairs in the garage that I didn't realize before coming down. Pretty much anything that you needed.
They also had a washer and drier. I didn't consider this when packing as I am used to staying at a hotel or resort without that amenity. I would have packed less than 1/2 of the stuff if I would have been smarter. We ended up doing laundry and wearing a lot of the same stuff all week!
The photos do not really show how wonderful this house actually is. To celebrate our 50th anniversary we were joined by our two adult children and spouses, and grandsons aged 4 & 15 for a week. I selected it because of the location, the tile floors, simple modern décor, the four bedrooms and the layout of the house. The great room separates the bedrooms, two on each side, perfect for several families. Even though it is only three or four blocks to the beautiful white sand beach, everybody's favorite thing was the POOL. It is caged so there are no bugs (no alligators either), lots of balls, rafts, etc. One of my favorite memories will always be of waking up one morning to the sounds of splashing, laughter, squeals of delight, and a giggling four year old. Looking out our sliding doors to the pool showed that everybody except the "old folks" was already taking advantage of this great pool. We were in it two or three times each and every day. It was the perfect way to bring all ages together. Surrounding the "cage" are a variety of palm trees, forming a privacy wall from the neighbors. Doors on each side of the pool area lead down to a beautifully landscaped area with stepping stones, hibiscus, even more kinds of palms, and eventually, two seating areas at the side of the canal. It even has a boat lift. We loved watching the fish jumping in the canal, and the heron fishing just across from us. My husband and son, especially liked this part of the property. The location is a perfect walk to the nearby Village area which is full of shops, restaurants, bars, and a wonderful ice cream shop. We drove to one of the public beach walks just a few blocks away, but younger visitors would have no problem walking it. I knew it had been the perfect choice when my daughter, swirling in the pool, announced that this was perfect for our family and we need to come back some time. Love it when I'm right!
