Perfect choice for family reunions, weddings, business off sites, retreats, bird watching, leaf peeping, etc. Whether it is a family reunion needing sleeping space for fourteen or a smaller gathering needing up to six bedrooms, our house is a great place to gather. The Davis Hill Historic House, with its breathtaking view of the Continental Divide and particularly Longs Peak, began as an inn around the turn of the last century in a smaller structure. The present stone and stucco structure was built in 1923. We operated the house as a B&B for many years and after numerous requests from B&B guests to rent the entire house and cottage for their summer vacations, family reunions, quilting groups and off sites, we now accept weekly rentals (Saturday check in and checkout) in the peak season and three or more days in the off season where the entire house, to include the kitchen facilities, belongs to the group.
The home is in an absolutely fabulous location. On a hill in a quiet residential neighborhood, you can leave your car parked and walk to downtown in five minutes. There are numerous shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and attractions just two blocks away, to include Fun City-a kids' favorite. Enjoy the fabulous mountain views and birds from the front porch. Guests usually view deer and elk from the front porch as well.
The house has six bedrooms and two full baths and one half bath. The cottage has one bedroom (king) futon, full kitchen, balcony with great mountain views and a private entrance. We have a full kitchen equipped with everything you need to whip up great meals. There is also a dishwasher and microwave. There is a large living room with TV and comfortable furniture, including couches and a recliner, surrounding an incredible moss stone fireplace.
You can dine inside at the large dining table (original hickory style) or al fresco on the wonderful front porch overlooking the Continental Divide.
The back wing of the house has three bedrooms and one hall entry bathroom. The bedrooms include one with a king bed, one with two twins and one with a double and a twin. The bathroom has a claw foot tub and separate shower. The other main floor wing has a bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with a full bed (''the nook''). These bedrooms are separated by a bathroom with claw foot tub (tub has shower attachment). The nook also has a private exit out to the front porch. The comfortable main floor period bedrooms all have antique furniture and wonderful beds.
Upstairs is a large dormitory style bedroom that is very popular with kids and teens. There is one queen, one double, one single bed and a twin futon and a half bath. There is also a futon and couch for lounging.
Guests often have a hard time pulling themselves away from the view from the large porch to go explore Rocky Mountain National Park, the Stanley Hotel, the YMCA of the Rockies and beautiful downtown Estes Park with the wonderful river walk. There is a shared fire pit available out back for roasting hot dogs and making s'mores as well as a large gas grill. Skewers provided. If there is a city or county fire ban in effect due to weather the gas grill can still be used. Commercial grade 'wi-fi' and complementary, on site shared laundry facility available 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Mon-Fri. Detergent, spray and wash, etc. provided. We have a fenced area on the side of the house and reserved parking for up to three vehicles, cottage has one dedicated parking space. Estes Park Shuttle to and from Denver Airport will provide pick up and delivery right to our house for approximately $45 one way, $80 round trip.
Maximum occupancy of 14. A city ordinance prohibits on street parking, RVs, trailers or large campers. We respond to all inquiries and calls promptly. Our calendar is always fully updated.
Our house and cottage are smoke free, to include the porches and decks. We love pets but do not allow them due to some guests having pet allergies.

During the summer they reside in the adjacent property, assume caretaker responsibilities and are available to answer questions when asked.
