Lovely Home For Our Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful setting with a stunning view. Loved sitting on the deck, hot tub and great room where the 9 of us could be together. Spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this nice home for a family vacation.

Beautiful cabin and view, but no help from the manager

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was gorgeous and we especially loved the Master Suite. The master tub and shower are huge. The view of the sunrise from the rear of the cabin was breathtaking.

Unfortunately, we had a few problems with our visit. The cabin is advertised as sleeping 16, but does not have enough dinner plates or bowls for 16 people. The two fold-out couches have air mattresses and there was no air pump at the cabin, so we had to go out and buy one. Water would only trickle out of the fridge door unit, due to the filter being clogged and needing to be replaced. The cabin didn’t have a replacement filter and we couldn’t find one in town, so filtered water was out. None of us could get the fireplace started, but the gas may have been turned off for the season. Also, I don’t think the cleaning crew vacuums between each rental. I stepped on a large piece of a toenail in the master bedroom the night we checked in and we found several pieces of balloons on the 1st floor carpet.

I tried contacting the Rental Coordinator through the VRBO app, via email and via text during our first few days and then gave up. I never received a single reply from them, so don’t expect any help if you have problems.

On a side note, there is no handrail on the stairs going from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor, making it difficult for a handicapped person to use them.

Wonderful views of the Smokies, comfortable accommodations, close to a lot of activites

  • 4 of 5

Great place to stay if you plan on doing a lot of outdoor activities during a family vacation. The cabin was spacious and the bedrooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub every night and the views, especially sunrise and sunset, were stunning. Asheville was a quick drive as were many waterfalls and rivers.

Wow! The view and the open space for a big family was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We had 15 family members sharing this space and it never felt crowded. We had everything we needed, including a very well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, sheets, and pillows, and plenty of space for sleeping and living. We had so much fun hanging out in the great room, and those of us who were cooking always felt included in the conversation and singing. At the same time it was nice to have enough separate rooms for all the adults to have their own spaces. We enjoyed a campfire on the hill, morning sunrises on the deck, sitting in the hot tub, and playing pool. We loved the location, too, traveling to the west, north, and east for various adventures. Boating, rafting, and hiking, plus a trip to Biltmore Estate. We are so glad we picked this place for our vacation!

Note - if you park on the lower driveway (near garage) it can be a little challenging to get back up. But we had plenty of parking room.

A must have - for a family vacation or any gathering for that matter. Fantastic experience.

  • 4 of 5

All we provided for a fabulous vacation we just had was our own food . . and drinks . . and us - everything else was there - the cabin with all the amenities and the magnificent view (especially in the early morning). As an avid photographer - it's a double U, Oh, double U as in WOW ! ! !

Loved it! We were all able to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Lots of room for everyone to spread out. I would change the trash situation. We didn't have room for the garbage in our car and didn't want to waste an hour of our time, (there and back) to try to find the trash drop-off with a separate trip. Wished we had more time to enjoy the cabin and the area.

Loved the area and the people. Go visit the visitor center in Maggie Valley, they are friendly and very helpful.
