Stay in the heart of Paris, This apartment is on the very chic and desirable Ile Saint-Louis, on the river Seine and next to Ile de la Cité and Notre-Dame. It is the most beautiful and central location in Paris. Ile Saint-Louis is an upscale neighborhood, one of the most prestigious in Paris, where you have quirky shops and restaurants, bakeries, food stores and clothes stores. You can walk everywhere from here; to museums including the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay, Pompidou Centre and Palais Royal. You are a quick stroll from the Marais, place des Vosges, Jardin Tuileries, Concorde and Champs Elysées. On the other side of Ile Saint Louis you have the Latin Quarter, Jardins du Luxembourg and Saint-Germain des Prés just a leisurely stroll away. There is a boat stop about three minutes walk from the apartment and the famous bus tours can be caught by Notre Dame which is about a five minute walk away.
There is ‘Paris plage’ just across the Seine during summer, starting mid July. This is great for children and teenagers as there are outdoor concerts and cafes and a large swimming pool.
This charming apartment is a beautifully decorated in one of the 'Hotel Particulars” on Quai Bourbon of Ile Saint Louis on the ground floor. The location is undoubtly one of the most convenient and safest in Paris. There is hardly any need for public transport or taxis as the main attractions are within walking distance.
The apartment is situated in a building which is more than 400 years old yet has all modern conveniences. The apartment is in the second courtyard of the building so there is not a single noise from the street. It is very quiet and peaceful, great for getting over jetlag!
There are two door codes and a guardian so you are very safe.
The apartment is 64 square meters and spread over three levels the bottom being in the basement with windows.
The ground floor is the entrance into the apartment with the kitchen and living room. Then above the living room is a mezzanine bedroom with window looking onto the courtyard and below the living room there is another bedroom and bathroom with separate toilet, these are basement level and have skylights to let in natural light and proper ventilation. The whole apartment is loft like in the sense that it is open plan but each bedroom has sufficient privacy.
It has a kitchen area with original tiles and a very high glass ceiling. There is a bar.The kitchen is new and fully equipped with everything you would need to cook a complete meal, plus a dishwasher, microwave/oven and electric elements.
The living room is cozy and has floor boards and original 400 year old exposed stone walls. There is a large three seater sofa , a television with Cable, wifi and a telephone which can be used to make calls to any landline, worldwide or USA cell phone for free.
There are two bedrooms, one is on a mezzanine floor above the living room which has a double bed, this has a window looking onto the courtyard. The stairs to climb to this are attic style and may not be suitable for elderly people or todlers. (Please look at photo) The other is downstairs by the bathroom and contains two single beds which can be pushed together if desired and a large chest of drawers. This is not closed by a wall, but has heavy curtains which provide privacy and would be perfect for two young children or if you were to have guests . Please look at photos. It is so quite and peaceful, you will sleep the best you have ever slept!
The bathroom contains a shower and a separate toilet. There is a very large wardrobe and chest of drawers in the bathroom as well as a washing machine with dryer. There is also a hairdryer.
The courtyard has a small table with benchs, great for having a coffee outdoors, this area can be used by smokers too. There is central heating plus very thick stone walls which ensure that the apartment is well insulated from the summer heat and winter time cold, and there is air conditioning.

About the owner: I'm dance teacher (ballet and modern'jazz). i'm living in ile st louis 13 years ago at 1mn for the appartment. I travelling a lot but i like come back in this place. When i visited this appartment 'i fall in love '!!!! I did renovation it's a little more modern but more confortable.
Why the Owner Chose Notre Dame, Paris, France:
Because it's best place in paris to live or to spend vacation. It's so quiet and in the center of the town and for me it was dream to buy in 'ile saint louis'. And it's so charming and so 'frenchy' And to come for airports there is RER B St Michel exit 5 parvis notre Dame (less than an hour ) and 10 mn by foot for the appartment. It's very easy to go everywhere in paris after .
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Why this apartment verses a hotel for a trip to Paris? Hotels in Paris are expensive and a 4 star hotel in Paris is closer to a 3 star hotel on international standards also with 60 million tourists pouring into Paris a year the service and quality is not always as one would expect. There are two hotels on the island, Le Lutece and Jeu de Paume where double rooms start at around 250€. I have seen these rooms and they are quite small. Also eating out 3 times a day can become very expensive. By having a base where you can prepare and eat quick inexpensive meals (baguette and cheese!) can mean huge savings. There are three bakeries located within 30 seconds of the apartment and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away, plus an out door food market close by on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is also a fromagery (cheese monger) on the island and one of Paris best butchers. Water is drinkable from the tap, however the apartment comes with a couple of bottles of mineral water, milk tea and coffee. If you want the beds made-up and apartment cleaned every morning this can be arranged at an extra cost of 30 Euros a day.
