This waterfront house is located on the bayside, just down the street from Blackbeard's Restaurant at 228 Esperanza. This house is on the bayside, newly remodeled, and right on the water. You can rent the upstairs, the downstairs, or the whole house. The upstairs sleeps 6 and the downstairs sleeps 6.

The property has a lighted fishing pier. One of South Padre's best kept secrets is that this is one of the best night fishing spots on the entire island! (Guests have attested to this!) This is a great location for a fishing getaway or family vacation.

The spacious concrete patio has fantastic views of the bay, and is ideal for a sunset barbeque. Wi-Fi. Upstairs/downstairs units are joined by a protected staircase and can be rented separately or as one unit! Air conditioning, cable TV, full kitchen, microwave, refrigerator. Linens provided.

Upstairs unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a king and 2 large double beds and a queen pullout. Downstairs has a queen bed and 2 pull out queen couches. Both up and down sleep 6, so 12 can sleep total.

Our Permit number is 2015-667875 from the town of South Padre.

Also, we only rent to 28 and over. We have had too many bad experiences with college kids. Please know that we might ask for you to take an iphone pic of your drivers' and send it to us, to make sure, and we do require an address, in case you book with homeaway direct, which doesn't ask for it!

Why Robin Dreyfuss chose South Padre Island

This is a family home, and was first purchased by Tony's father. Tony and his siblings have had many happy times here and caught huge numbers of fish off the pier. It's an older home that has been completely renovated since a hurricane in 2008 so now has granite countertops and a crisp clean look.

What makes this house unique

Our place is acknowledged by many professional area fishing guides as the best fishing property on the island since it's on a point with wraparound waterfront. We have a private yard and fishing deck with seating and automatic lights at night, including underwater, so the fish flock here. You can cast into the intercoastal canal and possibly catch something unexpected. Even non-fishers enjoy watching the fish bite and everybody loves the gorgeous sunsets. Upstairs has wraparound views of the bay. The upstairs and downstairs units are separate but connect via a protected stairwell. The private yard, deck, pier, and parking make it peaceful yet conveniently accessible to all the area offers.

We stayed at the Bayhouse in mid September. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return next year. Our primary goal was to fish and that's what we did. The fishing was great and exceeded or expectations. The unit was very nice and included all of the comforts of home. The bed and bedding could use some attention.



Overall, I would recommend Bayhouse.

There is an upstairs and downstairs and in low season they can be rented separately. The best thing is the lighted fishing pier for fishing! Best location on the bay front. Very well maintained.

Property was clean and well maintained. Great views of the Laguna Madre. Pier lights were loaded with fish every night. Lots of trout. We had a great time. We will rent this property in the future.

Good fishing on the deck

we very enjoy stay on second floor very nice and clean but fist floor need some maintenance,kitchen hood and outdoor flood light is not working,both water hose on fish cleaning table need replace also the fence and gate for the house need to repair for security.

Awesome Bayhouse

My party and I were really impressed with the house. The description and pictures you see is exactly what you get plus more. The deck was awesome and a great place for fishing. We had a great time and enjoyed the house. We did not want our stay to end. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing place to stay, I highly recommend this Bayhouse!! I would definitely rent this bayhouse again.
