About the property

4 bedrooms plus sleeping loft, 2 1/2 baths, great kitchen, sleeps 8

Treetops is a unique and magical property perfect for groups of friends, colleagues or family. Originally built in 1910 as a tea house, it sits on its own hill in the middle East End with a beautiful private garden, breath-taking views of Provincetown Harbor, easy walking distance to the center of town and one-minute walk to the beach. Treetops retains its original character, including a large central Great Room with beamed cathedral ceiling, working fireplace, and wrap-around interior balcony. Off of the Great Room is a 40’ long enclosed porch with views of the harbor. Each bedroom is unique, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The top floor has a sitting room with great views of the harbor, a deck with more fabulous views, and a sleeping loft and 1/2 bath. Treetops is tastefully and comfortably furnished, including period antiques and Provincetown art. Treetops occupies the top two floors of a small condo association and has many loyal renters, some for over 15 years. Come see why!

There are four bedrooms on the main level; three with queen beds and a small bedroom with a double bed. The second floor has much to offer as well: the front loft sitting room is a perfect place to drink your coffee as you watch the sun rise over the harbor; beyond that is a large deck with some of the best harbor and town views around; and there is a much-coveted queen bed in the rear sleeping loft with a 1/2 bath and views of conservation land. Residents have a choice of two dining locations; either in the Great Room or on the enclosed front porch. The large, fully-appointed kitchen invites several cooks to stir the broth, and is complete with a sitting area, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, food processor, coffee grinder and maker, and full dishware and cookware. The property comes complete with free WiFi, stereo and CD player which can accommodate MP3 players, lots of books and games, and the library has a flat screen Smart HDTV with cable, VHS and DVD, and a video library.

The front of the property looks out over the town and harbor and the private rear garden backs up to wooded conservation land and includes garden furniture, a large gas grille, a fabulous outside shower for post beach rinse-off and adjacent laundry facilities. There is parking for two cars. Access to the harbor beach is directly down the driveway and across Commercial Street - 1 minute walk. The gallery district begins a few blocks away; and town center is just a fifteen minute walk.

Charming

  • 5 of 5

Wanted to tell you how much our family loved staying at the Treetops over

the weekend. It was the perfect location for them. Close to

town and all of the activity. They loved the history and the charm of the

home.

Our daughter's wedding was beautiful at the Pamet Harbor Yacht Club on

Saturday afternoon and it meant so much to us to be able to have our family

here with us. Thank you for your hospitality and allowing us to rent your

home this past weekend.

Just what I was hoping for

  • 5 of 5

I've done a handful of these rental-by-owner arrangements, and this place was easily the most thoughtfully appointed one I've seen. It's also just a fantastic space, with great views, nice atmosphere, and a backyard I'd love to use if/when we come back in warm weather. And the owner was easy to deal with, quickly responsive, etc. No complaints. Looking forward to the next time.

Wonderful home away from home.....

  • 5 of 5

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Treetops. Even despite the stormy weather. Was a shame that we couldn't partake in the halloween festivities due to the storm but we had a great time nonetheless. The property is wonderful, homely and we will definitely be back.

The best!

  • 5 of 5

Eric,

We *really* enjoyed our stay at Treetops - especially waking in the morning to singing birds at eye level, seeing deep into the heavens late night from the upper deck, breakfast on the porch amidst cool breezes and sunrise, sunbathing privacy, the view, the chipmunk eating cherries high up on the tree, the outdoor shower, great book collection, wireless access. A wonderful retreat close to everything. Thank you for sharing your clean home with us. We look forward to our next stay same time same place!

Lots of Charms and Great for a Family

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect house for a group of 6 to 8 close family members or friends. I was having a large group of family and friends converge on Provincetown for a milestone birthday and wanted to find one or more nice houses with at least 4 bedrooms so that everyone could be together. Treetops fit the bill and delivered on all counts. This is not a cookie-cutter condo like one finds in so much of P-Town, but an older, historic, magnificently located house with character, lots of space, nicely appointed kitchen and baths, serenity and quiet, PARKING!!, and comfort. It's maintained impeccably and very clean and Eric Dray, from whom I rented the house, was professional and easy to communicate with as I was planning my "big weekend." From the moment we walked in to see the stunning great room lit up with little shell lights lining the stair and interior balcony railings, we were all enchanted, and continued to be so throughout the weekend. Highly recommended.

Treetops Haven

  • 5 of 5

The house was more charming than the pictures captured. The setting was very private. We loved the space, the layout and the decor. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to be together or spread out. The kitchen was well appointed as was the library/TV room. The view of the bay was spectacular. Everything was within walking distance and Eric's restaurant recommendations were excellent. The house provided a perfect setting for fun and relaxation. We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
