Beautiful, quiet residence in San Juan del Sur. Two minutes slow walk to the nearest restaurants and shopping. Located directly on the malecón fronting San Juan del Sur. The 'action' begins 1 1/2 blocks away.
Historically San Juan del Sur has been the favorite vacation destination for all Nicaraguans...those with financial means and those with less financial means. Mark Twain visited. Cornelius Vanderbilt made 3 steamship visits to Lago de Nicaragua, 12 miles from San Juan del Sur. You will pass by Lake Nicaragua on your way to San Juan del Sur and will see the two volcanoes on the Ometeppe Island. One volcano is active.
There is no end to sightseeing just minutes outside of San Juan del Sur. Miles of pristine, unpopulated beaches. Forests, jungles, wildlife. Visit my ranch (wildlife reserve) of 1,100 acres 20 minutes from San Juan del Sur. Out on the horses one will see three species of monkeys (howler, spider, white face), deer, wild turkeys, coyotes, sloths, anteaters, small native tigers, and numerous species of wildfowl. A tapir even makes an appearance on rare occasions. We grow our own coffee, rice, beans and corn. 2,000 orange trees, 1,000 mango trees, and 200,000 hardwood trees of several different varieties...planted 4 years ago. With the favorable climate in Nicaragua the fruit trees, vegetables, and hardwood trees grow like 'weeds'. Truly amazing to witness.
