This condominium is well-positioned in the luxuriously appointed Hawaiian Princess, which is located on the Island of Oahu approximately 35 minutes from Honolulu International Airport and 50 minutes (freeway driving) from Waikiki. It is equipped with wireless broadband Internet access and digital cable.

This is in renowned Makaha famous for its wondrous surf on the Waianae Coast-- Tucked away from the bustle of metropolitan Honolulu and the crowds of Waikiki. Most people consider this the most beautiful beach on Oahu. Makaha is quiet country on the Leeward side (west) of the Island where sunshine is the hallmark, warm and abundant year around.

Oahu's Secret Paradise: Your vacation in Makaha is as lively or as lazy as you want it to be. Whatever your pace and pleasure, your home at this Hawaiian Princess Condominium is a hospitable and very special place on a coved, white-sand crescent beach that rims the Pacific and has for a backdrop the majestic Waianae Mountains-- a real escape hatch from the work-a-day world.

This condominium is characterized by its elegant, spacious decor with a private lanai, full kitchen, and a spectacular 180-degree ocean view-great for whale, dolphin, and sunset watching. The condominium is completely furnished including digital cable television, wireless broadband Internet, washer-dryer, dishwasher, and fully equipped kitchen. This is truly Oahu's Secret Paradise.

While the condo will accommodate 4 persons with a sleeper sofa, we do not recommend it.

Amenities and Activities: Gated complex with 24/7 security, ocean-side, salt water pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, game room (can be reserved for parties), lending library, wireless broadband Internet, digital cable t.v., washer-dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator-freezer, microwave oven.

Activities: Snorkel, Surf. Sail, scuba dive, fishing, whale, dolphin excursions out of Wai'anae Boat Harbor. Ancient Hawaiian Kane'aki Heiau in Makaha Valley walks to Mauna Lahilahi and Makaha Beach. Makaha Golf Resort. The Aloha’Aina Café for the best banana pancakes and an organic Farmer’s Market on Saturdays.

Ko 'olina Resort 20 minutes, Honolulu Zoo and Aquarium are 50 minutes away.

  • Our unit is a one bedroom. There is a sofa bed which allows it to accommodate 4 persons. We do not recommend it for 4 adults. It is ideal in our opinion for a couple or couple with smaller children. HAVE YOU COMPARED OUR RENTAL RATES WITH OTHERS IN THE HAWAIIAN PRINCESS?

Great place to stay!!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our time in this condo. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil we could have needed. The bed was comfortable and for us, there was plenty of room to spread out. The beach was quiet and the view from our room was spectacular. We did not have any problems booking the condo and when we had questions, the owners and the managers were all very helpful.

Beautiful Place!!!

My wife and I needed a place to get away prior to a lot of transitions in our lives. This was the perfect place! The condo was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. The beach is picturesque with great sand and scenery- and definitely not too crowded. At most there were 20 people at a time on a very large beach.

The condo was clean and well-equipped. The lanai was a great place to eat and watch the beautiful sunsets. (since this is on the west coast- it's perfect). The owners also had some great DVDs to watch.

We snorkeled a lot and did a trip with Dolphin Excursions which was fun.

We are very thankful for our time there and had a blast!

Condo Nice But The Regulars Not So Nice

AS from Seattle:My first time to Oahu with my husband and our two young sons (11 and 7 yrs old) was quite and experince. The Description of the condo suite in Makaha was very accurate and clean. This complex in particular has a large community of elderly and the reception of my family size didn't seem to their liking.

The picture of the pool is taken from the top of the complex to make the pool appear bigger in size.There was also a four person minimum allowed in the pool-"Hello" that's my whole family!

The beach front is beautiful but in that part of the Island there are very high waves which makes it hard to enjoy the water. Another small problem was the small parking slots pray that your car doesn't get dinged.Another downer about the atmosphere of the facility was the iron face security women that patrolled the grounds felt like we were being watched when we were coming and going.

Makaha itself is a small town but the hawaiian homeless campsites off the main road was somewhat disturbing.

The stares we were getting from the regular tenants on our second day were unpleasant and unwelcoming. There was a particular incident at the pool side where the tenants thought my husband was an outsider off the beach- because of his nationally being Samoan making him look like a native islander. Because of this- the manager went to my husband and questioned what room were we in and after my husband answered she stated, "oh I thought so," if she already knew what was the point of asking.Not very professional-therefore my husband and I went back up to the manager to ask if there was a problem and she right away she stated "no".I called the realty office I rented the condo from to complain what had happened and she stated that she had to ask the manager her side of the story and then would return my call. But instead of an apology I got an excuses, "Oh the tenants thought you came into the locked door without a key and since my husband was pacific islander (Samoan) they assumed he was an outsider simple misunderstanding." My husband who hasn't been back to an island in 25yrs felt so low, discriminated and sorry for the pacific islanders who get treated this way-horrible and sad. For the realty woman who told us that this was a simple misunderstanding-Unprofessional and how can something so mean and heartless be a simple misunderstanding. I felt this needed to be told so that no one else encounters these heartless individuals.I would not recommend this location.

It is important for prospective guests to understand that our listings set limits for the number of photos included. A number of criteria are used in selecting the photos uploaded. It is important to have recent photos. It is important to use photos that reflect an accurate representation with as much information as possible. For example, a birds-eye view of the pool was chosen to show its location on the property and its proximity to the beach. It also shows that there is a whirlpool. We believe this is helpful information. When planning a trip to Hawaii-- especially Makaha-- you need to take the seasons into consideration. Makaha is renowned for its surfing. This can mean great and glorious waves. We have hired a professional team to assit in the management of the condo on our behalf. We are confident that they share our goals and approach every situation with a high degree of professionalism.

$850/wk - $950/wk; $3,500/mo. - $4000/mo.
$500 deposit required for monthly rentals.
$300 deposit required for daily/weekly rentals
Hawaii State Taxes are added to all rental rates: 4.712% G.E. tax and 9.25% Transient tax.
A non-refundable check-out cleaning fee of $150.00 is charged.
All daily and weekly rentals must be pre-paid prior to arrival. All other rents must be paid within three, (3) day's of arrival.
We accept Visa or MasterCard, personal checks, traveler checks or money order. The deposit will be refunded within thirty, (30) days prior to arrival cancellation.
All rates are subject to change without notice.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
