Subway proximity is the highest priority for New Yorkers. The L TRAIN (Lorimer St.) to Manhattan is ONE MINUTE WALK from our home at the corner at Union/Metropolitan. As is the G TRAIN (Metropolitan Ave) to downtown Brooklyn/Queens
Our townhouse has WIFI and is perfectly situated on a quiet residential street in Brooklyn's hippest neighborhood: Williamsburg. The area is packed with great restaurants, bars, deli's, bakeries and vintage stores. Nearby is McCarren Park, The Knitting Factory, and Union Pool. On our block alone: Chimu, a Peruvian steak house, M Noodle, Kings County Chinese (nouveau), Setti Pane Bakery. French, Japanese, Southern BBQ, Italian all a short walk away. As is the new Apple Store on Bedford Ave. The neighborhood is also a magnet for young people moving to the city and an influential hub for indie rock, hipster culture, and the local art community. We regularly host parents from all over the world who are visiting their children and grandchildren.
Union Square/14st St in Manhattan is 7 minutes on the subway. We are 20 minutes from downtown Manhattan and to Times Square. Closer still to the West and East Village, Soho, Tribeca, Union Square and 5th Ave via the popular L TRAIN subway line: One minute from our townhouse and then a 5 minute ride into Manhattan.
This is a private apartment with a private entrance. The spacious living room is open to the kitchen & dining area so there's plenty of light and air. The rear windows both lookout into the private garden in the backyard. The front windows look onto the street and front garden.
The apartment can accommodate up to four guests: The bedroom has a queen bed which sleeps 2. There is also a queen size self-inflating AeroBed that self-inflates in 1 minute and deflates just as quickly. While this isn't a traditional mattress is extremely comfortable.
The entire apartment has new furnishings, linens and a fully-stocked kitchen. A perfect home base for your trip to New York City. Owners live on site, in a separate residence.

About Sean Hingston and Brad Hurtado
My partner and I both work in Manhattan and take the L Train in every day. I'm a television producer, my husband is an actor and our daughter attends high school in the city. I'm from Toledo, Ohio and my husband is from Melbourne, Australia, so we have LOTS of family and friends visiting us all year round who now stay in our rental apartment and use it as their home-away-from-home. We love helping them find their way around the city and will gladly offer you a few suggestions about NYC as well.

Why Sean Hingston and Brad Hurtado chose Williamsburg
We bought this townhouse in 2010 after living in the middle of Manhattan for 16 years and have fallen in love with our new neighborhood. Our previous neighborhood was very old-school residential with massive apartment buildings, while Williamsburg is filled with 3-story townhouses like ours where the neighbors all sit on the front steps and enjoy the street life. The huge influx of artists and young people who recently 'found' the neighborhood because of it's close proximity to Manhattan and relatively inexpensive housing make for a VERY interesting mix on the street and we love it.
What makes this Apartment unique
What's great about staying in Williamsburg is the EASY access to all the major sites around NYC: Times Square, Broadway, Macy's, the Empire State Building, all the museums, Central Park and the Statue of Liberty. But what's really enjoyable and a real delight are the VERY walkable streets around us packed with both the old-world shops (the perfect cappuccino at Setti Pani bakery) side-by-side with the new art galleries, trendy clothing stores and fun finds (graphic comics books from around the world at Sparacino's). New APPLE STORE is 7 minute walk from our home.

This is an ideal place, located less than a mile from the heart of Williamsburg. The open design of the living room and kitchen let's you wonder without losing contact with others. Kitchen island, refrig, etc. meet all needs. The separate bedroom has a large closet, plenty of drawer space and a comfortable bed.
The space is quiet!!
The only downside is the bathroom. The bathtub/shower handles are troublesome -- need to be replace.

The Parlour was clean, comfortable and very spacious. Short walking distance to groceries and restaurants..
Check in was super easy. Sean and Brad were great hosts, responding very quickly to any questions we had.
Around the corner from the Lorimer Train Station “L” line that takes you right into Manhattan.
Would most definitely stay here again!
Great neighborhood. Easy access to subway and food.
Apartment is clean, comfortable and everything works. Internet was strong, Roku stocked with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more. Brad & Sean provide wonderful notes on things to do, places to shop and are easily available to answer questions or address problems should they arise.
We will definitely stay here again if our daughter remains in the neighborhood. Perfect location around the corner from her and the subway, as well as countless options for food! Thank you B&S!!!
Great property in a great location!
Great location near the subway lines and many fun places to eat and drink. Spacious by New York standards with great owners who live in a separate residence on the property. Coffee maker with coffee was a real plus to get going in the morning. Stop at the Kellogg diner a block away!

Fantastic hosts and place!
Sean and Brad were outstanding hosts! The Parlor was spacious; bigger than anything I've stayed in in NYC for the price. Its an excellent value. The photos don't really do it justice. The hosts are also great communicators. They respond quickly and are very helpful
The house is also located mere steps from the Lorimer St Station that puts you only a few minutes away from Manhattan. Its centrally located to great food, bars and entertainment.
Lastly and most importantly, the place is CLEAN and comfortable. The A/Cs keep it cool. The bed and couch are comfy. Sean and Brad provided a really nice air mattress to help accommodate us. All around, excellent accommodations.
I would highly recommend staying here!
Nice apartment, conveniently located.
We were lucky to stay in the Parlor apartment for 9 nights, then upstairs apartment for 3 additional nights. I chose the location primarily because my son and wife live in Williamsburg about 4 blocks away. Was very convenient to them and also to the L & G trains for sight seeing and all. We took a Lyft to and from the airport and then used the subway the whole time. Had a marvelous time in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, my first visit. Lots of good restaurants and bars close by. Sean was very easy to work with, good host. Thanks so much to Sean and Brad!
Best reason to book: This apartment is a 1-minute walk to the L Subway line, which takes you directly into the center of Manhattan, so in 5-7 minutes you'll be in Union Square. And our location is in fabulously hip & hopping Williamsburg, so you get both a small happening neighborhood feel as well as immediate proximity to Manhattan. McCarren Park is only five blocks away with running track, skateboard park, playground, tennis and lovely grounds for an afternoon stroll and people watching. 24 laundromat is one block away and a dry cleaners is half a block away. Full grocery store is a 5 minute walk, two small city groceries are a half block away.
