This is a quite, private, maintained Historical Ranch House. A place to relax & enjoy family, friends, and yes of course the Facilities...
As you drive up the property you will notice an historical school on your left, This is when you realize your about to experience something very special. The road takes you across the cattle guard with 20 plus Oak Trees towering over you from both sides of the road. You will notice cattle grazing on the left but your attention will keep you staring right...
The right side of the road sits the Historical Home with the Texas Flag welcoming you into the Gate. The home is surrounded by wooden fence to keep the cattle out. The Barn opens into a Large Party Barn with walk around decks, inside has Pool Table, ping pong table, neon signs, 3 flat screen TVs, frig, music, etc... 'kids really enjoy it and it allows the adults to relax back at the main house'.
The trees light up at night around the pool and the Covered Terrace. The Terrace has a large outdoor grill as well as a fire pit for the kids to sit around at night. The hot tub seems to be a nice touch at the end of the evening as well. The tennis court is a full size court so be sure to bring your racquets. Horse shoes and washers are a daily sport as well as biking and walking the property. Bring your bucket to fill with pecans also...

Why Marc & Marta Chase chose Fredericksburg
Fell in Love with Property from the moment we stepped in the Front Door. Above is two pictures of the home from the early 1900's. The home has a true sense of History and how life might have been before Cell Phones and Direct TV.
What makes this House unique
This property allows us the opportunity to escape the fast lifestyle of the City and Relax under the stars in the Country without the kids complaining their 'bored'!

A great house and lots to do
This was a great property, especially for the kids. We had fun in the pool and hot tub and riding around in the golf cart. The firepit is great and wood was left for us. The house is basically clean but could use a good spring cleaning (cobwebs etc), but that’s just me. Keep in mind that it is an old farm house so there is that rustic aspect to it. BEWARE however that if you are not looking to completely unplug, there is NO wi-fi even though the VRBO page says the house has it. Also, the cell service is spotty at best, especially with Verizon. I had to drive towards town to get enough service to check in for our flights the next day. Otherwise a great stay.
AMAZING historical landmark! Gorgeous property! aker
Very attentive owner, caretaker, & housekeeper! Wonderful
For reunions & family get together, or just a peaceful weekend in the countryside 5 min from Fredericksberg
Great place to stay while seeing all if the Texas wine country.
Cozy, picturesque place that our family thoroughly enjoyed!
Our family gathered here for our dad’s 70th Birthday weekend. The adults and kids had such a great time as there are numerous things for everyone to do. The house was perfect, and the caretaker was extremely kind and always helpful! We loved it and would like to come back again.
So much potential, so disappointing
It is a beautiful property, but it seems that it is being allowed to deteorate. First of all, I expect cleanliness. Floors were dirty, refrigerators didn't appear to have been cleaned in recent history, something (rodent?) appeared to have bled out in silverware drawer, rugs were full of grassburrs...speaking of grassburrs, if you're not familiar with them, these stickery little seed pods stick to everything and are quiet painful when sticking to your flesh so, warning, no going barefoot either inside or outside. Also, in this day and age, people expect to have internet available. It is not, and you are out of luck if Verizon is your wireless provider. AT&T does work. This property, in pristine condition, might have been worth the price charged,, but not in its current condition. On the plus side, it does have a very nice tennis court and with some TLC it could be top notch. Just got the impression that Fredericksburg is becoming (or has become) a tourist trap and the locals are content to rip off the visitors for all they can get.
I appreciate your honesty however regret Property didn’t meet your expectations? I wish you would have informed us DAY 1 of your visit if there were any issues as Sandy or Harrison would have addressed immediately especially any concerns with Floors, Rugs, Frig, Ect
It is possible with 5 KIDS if you don’t have them take off their shoes they can track in spurs however I assure you these floors and rugs were Clean prior to arrival. As for WiFi I’m working on but in the country it’s rough coverage.
I appreciate you recognizing it’s a Beautiful Property! Last year we replaced all original Windows to Wood Clad and Refinished all Wood Floors. This historical home is Clean and Air Tight, we even installed 2 New AC Units.
This property gets plenty of TLC I assure you! But I will keep Sandy & Harrison in the loop to ensure Guests are completely satisfied during their stay instead of finding out 1 month later.

Very much enjoyed our stay
Beautiful setting. Weather could not have been more perfect. Every thing worked as it was supposed to. We knew the sleeping situation going into the stay, but the bunk beds were slightly difficult for a 60 year old couple to get into. We did it though, and once we were in bed, everything was great. Our family gathering was fun. It was only a short drive into Fredericksburg. We would stay there again. Wish we would have had more time there. Harrison the care taker was very friendly and helpful. Was prompt to help with any situation, which was only to help us understand the television remotes.
I’m so happy y’all enjoyed your stay but so sorry you got the bunk room! I can tell you have a big heart and always put your guests first. I do hope when you come back you enjoy one of the other king size bedrooms.
