Guestbook comments from the owner

We arrived at the Key West airport at 9:00 PM, under pitch dark skies with stray heat lightening streaks. Arrived at your home just in time for a 5 min downpour. Hearing the rain ping off the tin roof was a real treat.

We awoke in the morning, after a great sleep in our very comfortable King Size bed. I looked out the French Doors from my bed onto the rear deck and saw the most beautiful white bird taking a drink by the dipping pool. I fell in love again.

Thank you for all the information you provided us about activities, restaurants and shops in Key West. saved us from wasting precious time during our stay. I guess you really never do forget how to ride a bike and the Yoga Class on the beach was just the best.

Hoping to return in 2011, thank you, The "Smiths" !!!

A slice of paradise.............fantastic!!

  • 5 of 5

What can I say.........this place is simply outstanding. The location of the property is amazing - on a quiet, dead-end lane across from the cemetery (which during fantasy fest was real haven of tranquility), but yet only a few short blocks to the Duval Street party scene. There are some good restaurants close by as well as Fausto's grocery store.

The house itself was beautiful and we fell in love with it immediately. It is really bright and airy with beautiful decor and artwork. The beds were extremely comfortable and had great quality linens. The kitchen however, was in a class of its' own - if you couldn't find a piece of equipment in Larry's kitchen then it doesn't exist :o). The outside patio is a great little oasis, and the dipping pool is very welcome on a hot day. The bbq was an added bonus. Basically we did not want to leave this house, and it will certainly be our go to place from now on when visiting KW.

Just a quick comment on Larry..........he made everything so easy and could not have been more helpful. Communication was always fast, friendly and very helpful, including providing tips on Key West. Thanks for everything Larry, and especially for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will be back for sure!!

Second time around

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay in this great home. It is in a great location that means you can walk to all of the many attractions in Key West, which helps burn off the calories from all the good places to eat nearby. The owner, Larry, makes it easy to book here and well maintained. If your looking for a quiet retreat that you can easily stagger back to after a few margaritas on Duval Street, look no further.

Our new go-to in Key West

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for one week in July 2013 to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. The location of this property is amazing! On a quiet, dead-end lane across from the cemetery, this house couldn't be more perfect. But not so secluded that you aren't part of the Key West party scene. There were several restaurants within near walking distance. We chose not to do cars or bicycles, and walking everywhere was so much fun. Key West is a town best experienced on foot in my opinion. You miss so much in a car or on a bike!

The house was beautiful. The gourmet kitchen is to die for! Throughout the house, there was tons of space for the 3 of us, with plenty to spare. The outside patio is an oasis with the dipping pool, chaise lounges, grill and dining area.

And lastly, I'd like to comment on Larry. He was always helpful, throughout our entire stay. If I had a question, I could simply ask him by phone. He was always willing to share his tips on Key West and give advice so we had the best time possible.

A great trip!

Wonderful Cottage in Key West

  • 5 of 5

My family of four stayed in this cottage during August 2013. It exceeded our expectations. The house has two bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and also a private sitting area off the front bedroom with a futon. This was perfect for my teenage son. It allowed privacy for everyone. The kitchen is fully stocked with high end appliances and pots and pans. The backyard is quiet and secluded. The pool is perfect for a quick refresher from the heat. The best part of the cottage is the location. You are removed from the noise of Duval Street but are in walking distance of the restaurant, bars, shopping, and marinas. We rented bikes which made it so easy to get around. Larry is extremely helpful and answers all emails quickly. He even called the night before our departure to make sure he answered one of our questions. We will definitely rent again.
