"There was plenty of space for the young kids to play and hang out. It was so relaxing leisurely cooking dinner while everyone enjoyed the great quality time together. I was amazed at how well the kitchen was stocked! I could not think of anything else I would have needed! I was so happy to find the beds so comfortable, that was another wonderful bonus! A couple days we drove to some Myrtle Beach attractions and it felt so nice when we were coming back getting close to the Litchfield area, the traffic was gone...This is the perfect home and our family will definetly be coming back. Thank You for sharing your beautiful home." - from Betsy T., Charleston, WV

We had a wonderful time at the Bamboozled home on Sportsman Drive in Litchfield Beach. Perfect marsh setting to see the sunset and super close to the beach. SIX rooms and five baths. All you needed in the kitchen, plus towels and sheets since we were staying more than a few days. We loved the porch and everything about the home. The repurposed doors were a delightful detail. The owners have put a lot of thought and care (not to mention money) into this wonderful beach community rental. Kudos! We will be back next year!
South Litchfield Beach is easily among the prettiest beaches in South Carolina. Bounded by low lying sand dunes and the blue-green ocean, the beach is characteristically wide with soft white sand and spans 7 miles from end to end.
Summertime can get busy on South Litchfield Beach, but families love rekindling friendships made from past stays as they book year after year in the same home within this small, beachside community in which nearly every home is rented in summer. Grocery and beach stores, popular dining venues, and local eclectic shops are conveniently close by.
While primarily residential, Litchfield Inn is located on the north end of this beach where guests can enjoy oceanfront dining within easy and safe walking distance. Indulge at least once during your vacation and choose between the relaxed cabana atmosphere of Austin’s Cabana Café or the elegance of Austin’s Ocean One located on an upper floor with panoramic ocean views.
Huntington Beach State Park shares the same strand as South Litchfield Beach, a popular destination for families, photographers, and nature lovers. A 4-mile drive north along Ocean Highway 17 will bring you to the forested state park entrance where visitors will fall under the enchanting spell of the beauty and wildlife of the Lowcountry sand dunes and marshlands.
Also only 4 miles away is Brookgreen Gardens, another local treasure. Brookgreen displays world renowned sculpture amidst acres of lush gardens and majestic oaks and offers miles of walking paths through what once was a working rice plantation. It is also home to the only accredited zoo on the Carolina coast, where you will see native animals in their natural habitats.
The Pawleys Island/Litchfield Beach area is known locally as the Waccamaw Neck. Pawleys Island, known for its “arrogantly shabby” character, encompasses Litchfield but has its own beach – and island – where it splits away from the south end of Litchfield Beach. The relaxing ebb and flow of the tide sets the pace of our Lowcountry coastal region of South Carolina where getting on Island Time comes naturally.
Outdoor activities are a great way to experience the unique beauty of our area. Locals and visitors alike enjoy surf fishing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, surfing, boating, bicycling, and beach combing – just to name a few. Nationally renowned golf courses abound as well as historic landmarks and plantation tours. Myrtle Beach, only 20 miles north, and Charleston, 80 miles south, make great day trips. And for those who truly want to get away from it all, stake out a spot of your own on our beautiful beach!
