About The Owner

We are a family that has enjoyed entertaining in our home with family and friends. We hope to share that with you and make many more friends.

The Owner purchased this house in 1993

Why The Owner chose Manitowish Waters

As a child my husband grew up visiting friends in the 'Northwoods' with his family. We soon started coming up together and looking for a second home to vacation in. We have started a family and raised them in the same tradition of vacationing in the 'Northwoods'

What makes this house unique

We treat you more like a guest in our home than a renter. We have entertained a lot so we know what it takes to stock a house for fun. We try not to overlook anything and will make your stay enjoyable

Couples snowmobile trip

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of room for our 4 couples. Love the hot tub on the deck. Great spot on the lake and easy access to the trails and downtown Manitowish. Great area. Diane was a pleasure to work with and I'm sure we'll be back again.

Wonderfully relaxing weekend

  • 5 of 5

Lovely and serene. The cabin was very homey. The owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The cabin had a north woods rustic feel while having all the modern amenities we could want. The kids had a blast and we all can't wait to come back next year.

BEAUTIFUL & Fitting our needs

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful place and fits all our needs. The owners are wonderful to let us rent their place and answered our requests with a smile and speed. For our family union,, 13 people, the house is perfect with the hot tub a great plus. THe lake is also great for tubing and water skiing. for the younger set. Also got a lot of fishing in as the chain gives you many choices. The bikes supplied got plenty of use. There is plenty of parking space with areas for yard games as well. To top it all off the firepit with smores ended some days. The views of the lake from the deck or inside was just what we were looking for. We were so pleased we booked it again for next year.

Perfect place to watch a sunset

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house for a week to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. There were 11 of us (8 adults and 3 children). We had a fabulous stay! We enjoyed the room the house provided along with the hot tub, fire pit area, and private dock! We made many memories and can not wait for the opportunity to come back and make more!

Bruin's Retreat Review

  • 4 of 5

The house is beautiful and the setting idyllic. We found gorgeous fireplaces, beautiful deck, and wonderfully comfortable beds. There was almost no firewood furnished, and it was difficult and expensive to find any locally. The spa was not used, as it had an odd odor and some dirt floating in the water.

Owner's Response: I do try to furnish firewood however unfortunately no one has been able to get firewood yet this fall due to the heavy demand last year and the late spring. All of our suppliers are sold out. We are doing what we can to get a supply as I am on waiting lists. Hot tubs do sometimes have a different odor if you are unfamiliar when first opening the lid. I do have my cleaning crew clean and sanitize between guests,. If there was a concern I wish they had spoke with them as they were at the home as they arrived early while they were still at the home. I always stay in contact and spoke with the guests and nothing was mentioned at the time of the stay. Any requests or concerns are always addressed as soon as possible. Sometimes dirt and leaves can fall in the tub when opened as it does sit outside, however it is sanitized before everyone's arrival. I am happy everything else was great as you were a wonderful group to work with and I hope to again.

Summer Fun

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful property for a large family. Great family room for ALL -especially if the weather isn't the best. A lot of privacy, very woodsy. The lake is beautiful, deep, crystal clear and relatively quiet. Laundry in the home - great kitchen for everyone to gather and cook. The owners are responsive to your needs. The only complaint - where does the week go!!!!
