About the property

Single Level Beach House, Private, Easy Walk to Beach, Screened Porch, 2 Sundeck

With new homeowners in 2014, Solitude immediately saw many new upgrades and continues to receive updates regularly, keeping things fresh and welcoming. The homeowners remain excited about making their home one that both they and their vacationing rental guests will enjoy.

This ranch-style raised beach home finds solitude at the end of a tree-lined cul-de-sac just off a side road with direct access onto the beach. Enjoy the quiet corner of this oceanfront community with convenient access to the end of the beach coveted for its wide, un-crowded and relaxed character. The walk to the beach is short and easy – made even easier with a convenient beach wagon!

Guests love the private location and fresh, comfortable home interior. The open-concept common area with vaulted ceiling opens onto a furnished screened porch and sundeck with private woodland setting. The spacious master suite boasts a secluded sundeck, king bed, and elegant tiled bathroom with garden tub. Four other bedrooms provide queen beds. Expect to also find a laundry room, carport, ample parking, enclosed hot and cold outdoor shower, and grill.

Bring your bikes or rent them locally to ride the paved bicycle trail that passes through this community, providing a safe and fun trip into the fishing village of Murrells Inlet in one direction and to the Waccamaw River in the other. Great property. Short walk to the beach and plenty of room for the whole family.

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for our long weekend. We had two families with 3 kids and there was plenty of room for all. Kitchen was well equipped. Indoor and outdoor areas were clean and updated. Overall had a great stay and would definitely go back.

Spacious hideaway in Litchfield!

  • 5 of 5

I've been coming to Litchfield beach for 30 years and this was the first time I rented a home. i was so pleased with this home! It's an EASY 5 minute walk to the beach - none of the kids even complained! The home has so much space and the everything was clean and well decorated. My favorite part though was the screened porch! It's so quiet except for the birds and cicadas and the sound of the ocean- I can't wait to get back there!!

Myrtle Beach

Spring retreat

  • 5 of 5

I stayed with friends for 2 nights for the Plantation Tours in Georgetown. It is a tastefully done beach house with lots of room for everyone. Great kitchen/family room. The bedrooms and baths are comfortable with all the necessities. The kitchen is great for cooks! It has a wonderful screened porch for lounging. It has lots of parking. Loved the location - just a short walk to the beach. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Spacious, comfortable, well-located beach house

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this home with 5 girlfriends to see the Georgetown Plantation Tours and visit Brookgreen gardens. What a clean and lovely beach house. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The beach was just a short walk down the road and was a particularly wide and private area. Brookgreen gardens was maybe 2 miles away and is really a special place to visit! The owner has been very thoughtful in how she has furnished and equipped the home. It is perfect for a family gathering or a group of friends!

North Litchfield Beach

North Litchfield Beach is among the prettiest beaches in South Carolina and is locally prized for its uncrowded, quiet reputation. While it has several public access ways, the entire length of North Litchfield Beach is bordered by a residential community untouched by commercial enterprise. Grocery stores, popular dining venues, and local eclectic shops are conveniently close by however.

The North Litchfield Beach community resides along a bike path that meanders into Huntington Beach State Park where visitors can observe the beauty and wildlife of the Lowcountry sand dunes and wetlands. North Litchfield Beach is contiguous with Huntington Beach to the north and Litchfield Beach to the south, spanning 7 miles from end to end. The beach is characteristically wide with soft white sand bounded by low lying sand dunes and the blue-green ocean.

Just 2 miles away is Brookgreen Gardens, another local treasure. Brookgreen displays world renowned sculpture amidst acres of lush gardens and majestic oaks and offers miles of walking paths through what once was a working rice plantation. It is also home to the only accredited zoo on the Carolina coast, where you will see native animals in their natural habitats.

The Pawleys Island/Litchfield Beach area is known locally as the Waccamaw Neck. Pawleys Island, known for its “arrogantly shabby” character, encompasses Litchfield but has its own beach – and island – where it splits away from the south end of Litchfield Beach. The relaxing ebb and flow of the tide sets the pace of our Lowcountry coastal region of South Carolina where getting on Island Time comes naturally.

Outdoor activities are a great way to experience the unique beauty of our area. Locals and visitors alike enjoy surf fishing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, surfing, boating, bicycling, and beach combing – just to name a few. Nationally renowned golf courses abound as well as historic landmarks and plantation tours. Myrtle Beach, only 20 miles north, and Charleston, 80 miles south, make great day trips. And for those who truly want to get away from it all, stake out a spot of your own on our beautiful beach!
