This home is located in a quiet, shady neighborhood conveniently located right off of Demere Road between East Beach Causeway and the Village, and offers all the amenities and comforts of your own home.
The house occupies a corner lot with concrete parking for four cars, a side entry garage, shady front porch, and a privacy-fenced back yard with dining patio for six with gas grill and wood-burner. The home features new countertops and travertine flooring throughout. The master suite is furnished with king bed, chaise, 42' flat screen, large tiled shower, and french doors to patio.
Two bedrooms upstairs each have a plush queen bed, new carpeting, and a Jack and Jill bathroom featuring an additional lighted sink vanity separate from the full bath. A fourth bedroom located on the ground floor has flat screen television, computer hutch, and full/twin bunk bed which converts to seating for extra den or playroom.
The kitchen is well-equipped, seats up to ten at the table with two counter seats, and adjacent outdoor patio dining for six.
The oversized garage houses several beach chairs, coolers, umbrella, and other beach items available for guest use.
Updated exterior features new metal roofing and exterior paint. Patio is equipped with gas grill and wood burner.
St. Simons Island is a beautiful marsh and beach destination that is rich in history. Historic sites, village shopping, the SSI lighthouse, fishing from the Pier, and dozens of restaurants are all within a short distance and are walkable.
SSI and the Golden Isles offer several beautiful public and private golf courses, ocean and inter-coastal activities. Nearby Jekyll Island features the historic Jekyll Island Club with its restaurants and numerous activities to include golf, beaches, waterpark, horseback riding, and the Georgia Sea Turtle Hospital & Museum.
The home is perfect for families, couples, and weekend getaways with friends in groups of nine or less.

We enjoy the quaint, non-commercial feel of St. Simons Island, and the shady streets secluded Sandcastle subdivision so conveniently located between the beaches and Village. Our neighbor has one entrance/exit and no thru-traffic so its shady streets are great walking and biking with children.
SSI is rich in history with beautiful beaches and a bustling village area, and is within convenient driving distances to Fernandina, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Savannah, and the other Golden Isles of St. Mary's, Cumberland, Sea Island, and Jekyll.
We enjoy walking to the Village or biking to the beach, or just enjoying the private back patio which is perfect for grilling and relaxing by the wood burner. The neighborhood is very quiet and well kept by its year-round residents and HOA. The island's great restaurants are numerable and many are right next to us in the adjacent Village & Pier area.
The house had a great layout and allowed for 3 couples and 2 small children to all enjoy comfort and privacy. The downstairs has the room for kids separated from the master bedroom. Upstairs, there are 2 more bedrooms separated by a hall and bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed to cook our meals. We also enjoyed the fire pit on the patio. The accommodations were as listed.
This house is great and has everything you need for cooking inside and out. Our family had a great time staying over the weekend. The owners are so awesome to work with. We felt so at home. It is in a good neighborhood. I cannot wait to come back again
This home is immaculately kept! We felt like we were at home from the second of arrival. This vacation property has everything you need to vacation properly – fishing equipment, beach equipment, and loads of kitchen aids. Unfortunately, my husband and I could not make use of amenities this trip as we were in town for a funeral, however, we will be back and definitely rent this home! You could comfortable sleep three couples in this home and some kids on the bunks. The location is fabulous, tucked in a private community just up the road from the King & Prince. Many thanks to the home owners for creating a tranquil vacation spot.
After looking at many rentals on VRBO, we decided to stay at Sandcastle. We were not disappointed with the choice. All issues and questions were addressed very promptly by the owners. I was very impressed with how quickly my initial request was answered. Availability to use the garage was a favorite of my husband. The house was very clean and very well stocked. The neighborhood was quite and a quick bike ride to almost anything on the island. Would not hesitate to rent this house again.
We just spent a wonderful few days at this cozy house and we felt at home during our entire stay. The house is so clean and comfortable. It is in a beautiful location with so much to do each day. After returning home to Minnesota I realized I had left a shoe at the house. I called and talked to the owner and she offered to send the shoe to me free of charge. Such a sweet gesture!
Our week long vacation in this beautiful home was spectacular! The house was extremely clean, very nicely decorated, and had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was lots of space in the living room, dining room, and bedrooms. The back patio was awesome for grilling out and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings as well. The use of all the beach equipment was very convenient with lots of comfy beach chairs and beach towels.
We also enjoyed watching TV and movies on the large TV in the living room with a nice collection of DVDs to choose from. Although we did not spend too much time watching TV because there is so much else to do on the island---all very close by the house:) Lots of wonderful restaurants and shops and the weather was perfect for walking along the beach and laying out in the sun.
We cannot say enough about this home and how nice, helpful, and accommodating the owners were. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and look forward to returning here again someday!
