Located in the same complex than the David Citadel Hotel in the heart of the luxury hotel district you have only a few minutes’ walk to the Old City or to the famous shopping area of Mamila.

Three bedrooms have their own adjacent bathroom (master bedrooms) what makes the apartment perfect for families / couples to share the apartment. Each bedroom is furnished with a spacious closet and generous drawer and shelf space.

The apartment is situated on a quiet side street that provides you the feeling of being in an oasis of quiet and comfort in the middle of Jerusalem. Laid out on two floors you have a comfortable distinction between the bedroom area (lower floor) and the spacious living room and kitchen (upper floor).

The large living room is equipped with satellite television, Wi-Fi and the dining table seats for 12 people. There is a separate powder-room for guests. In front of the living room is a spacious terrace that gives you a breathtaking view to the old city walls and to the swimming pool of the David citadel hotel.

The convenient kitchen contains a refrigerator, freezer, glass ceramic stove, oven, microwave, electric kettle and coffee machine. The kitchen has to be kept strictly kosher: To sets of dishes and cutlery, a Shabbat Plata and water cooker are provided.


* One bedroom at the upper floor with wonderfully comfortable twin beds and two Murphy beds - with an adjacent shower and toilet.

* Master Bedroom with double beds. Spacious Jacuzzi, shower and double sink. Separate balcony facing the swimming pool

* Second Master Bedroom with twin beds and an extra trundle bed (totally 4 beds). Jacuzzi with shower.

* Bedroom with twin beds and two Murphy beds – with adjacent toilet.

At the lower floor is another bath with toilet.

A washing machine and dryer, hairdryer and iron are at your disposal.

A parking space in the David Citadel parking lot is reserved for you.

And for your convenience: Hotel services from the Citadel Hotel are available at extra charge (e.g. swimming pool 120 - 190 ILS , gym 100 ILS, cleaning).

All was very nicely prepared when we arrived. Everything was clean and in working order. Yael and her husband were very friendly and helpful. This location is great and has an astonishing view. I can only recommend this apartment.

Beautiful apartment in the perfect location

We have stayed in the apartment 2 times in the past 2 years. Thats how much we liked it. It is a very large, beautiful apartment with lots of room for a big family or extended families to spread out. When there were any maintenance issues Yael was available and quick to come and make the necessary repairs.

Perfect apartment for our Israel vacation!

Wow! Location of this apartment is absolutely amazing. We were footsteps away from anything we needed: coffee , restaurants, grocery, and of course the old city.

We were two big families sharing an apartment, and needed one extra bed. Yael (the caretaker) provided an extra bed for us . She accommodated every request we had before we came to Israel. She responded quickly to every question while we were staying in the apartment.

August is very hot, so we were glad the air conditioning is strong, showers were hot and powerful and the linens were comfy. You need to supply your own paper goods and soaps, as in any apartment rental. We really enjoyed the apartment, it suited our needs perfectly. Can't wait to come back!

Location is amazing but there has been very little upkeep of the property.

Yael met us at the property on a Thursday evening and explained as much as possible to a tired group of people. There is a folder with most of the information you need to know. There wasn't any instructions for the stove top which after the cleaning person arrived he explained it to me and I wrote up the instructions and left them. The reason the cleaning person arrived is because I gave up one day of being with my family to show him all the dirt and mold in the apartment. He doesn't come with a vacuum cleaner and used the broken broom from the apartment that he fixed with a piece of paper towel. The duplex apartment had been a luxurious place with the best of everything but not taken care of. The apartment had many dust bunnies under every bed, the instant hot in the kitchen broken, ice maker broken even the broom was in two parts and had to be fixed. The dust and mold really upset me as I had told Yael, many month earlier when I rented the apartment, that one of my grandchildren had asthma. You need to supply your own trash bags, paper towels, tissues and more toliet paper than was doled out. There were two dining chairs on the upper terrace that looked like they belonged in a junkyard and caked with dust. Ruined beyond repair and just left there in a corner with a large broken table on the other side. The place needs some attention and care. All the broken items were noted and the answer was that some child in the past played with them and so the owners just disconnected them. ( instant hot, ice maker) The laundry equipment was adequate to take care of the laundry of 8 people for 10 days, that included 4 children with daily needs.( Bring laundry supplies.) If you are interested in location, location, location this is the place to be. You cross the street, walk through the mall and there you are at the Jaffa gate. Forget about the pool at David's Citadel unless you are ready to spend $53 a day per person. If we wanted to do that we would have just stayed at the hotel. Being in an apartment when you are traveling with family especially children does add to the togetherness. We did have a wonderful time. There is no place like Israel.

Owner's Response: Do you know those frustrated people that nag about all and everything and scream around, that even peaceable neighbors complain..? Let’s have a serious look at her issues point by point: B. knew in advance about the pricing of the swimming pool. It’s written on this web-side and was explained in emails– but she decided to complain about it (also after having heard about cheaper options). I also explained to her that we had to switch off the instant hot and the ice maker – it is not broken, but for safety reasons we took the fuse out, especially because we rent the apartment out to families with little children and their/ your safety is our highest concern. Of course, there is an electric cattle in the kitchen and forms for ice-cubes in the freezer. Yes, we will add the instructions for the stove top (maybe B. you need also one for the fridge ?!) to our booklet. It has not been added, because no one had problems with this before and because there are instructions for all the electric equipment in a drawer in the kitchen. About the dust bunnies: I can’t deny, that the apartment doesn’t clean itself and right, after 5 days and 8 people it might be a good idea to clean it / have it cleaned. Finding dust bunnies 5 days after check-in if you don’t clean it, is perfectly normal. Our cleaner mostly doesn’t use a vacuum cleaner, because there are no carpets in the apartment and you are much better off washing / sweeping the tiles. Of course a broom can break and of course we replace it when we see this. Yes, after a week the toilet paper, soap and trash bags might run short – like in any rented apartment you have to fill up the supply. Thanks B, for letting us know about the 2 broken chairs – we will repair/ replace them immediately. The mold you were talking about we carefully looked for and didn’t find any. To all people that might have doubts about this: we are perfectly prepared to send recent pictures of all the showers and bathtubs. About the size of the washer: This a standard washing machine of 6 kilo and the suitable dryer on top. If this is not enough for you, there is a laundromat near by. To have great vacation and being able to fully enjoy the apartment is my deepest wish for all our guest. Barbara, you know that I ran for you within the same afternoon, when you screamed on the phone that you want a toaster, to bring you the requested toaster. You know that I came instantly, when you said, the dishwasher isn’t working - just having to close it.

Amazing location, great home, disappointing customer service and broken appliances

I had very high hopes for this visit in Jerusalem. Every other review was 5 stars so I knew I couldn't go wrong. I booked the place online with Yael well over a year before arrival. Her responses to my emails were mostly slow, but pleasant and typical for this culture.

A week or so before our arrival she emailed me to question our arrival date (she must have only then realized that it was Shavout, which of course had been on the calendar for decades). I confirmed the date and she reminded me that it's a kosher apartment and therefore she wouldn't be able to greet us on Shavout. She offered to leave the keys next door at the Citadel which was totally fine.

We got into the apartment without much problem but quickly found several items that needed attention. There was a toilet that wouldn't flush, a milcheg dishwasher that wouldn't run, a disposal that didn't work, air conditioning that didn't work well in one room, and a clothes dryer that was taking 4 cycles to dry our clothes.

Knowing it was a holiday I waited until the day after to notify Yael.

When she answered she was quick with me saying she couldn't talk because it's the day after the Chag (which in Israel is still the holiday). I told her this was fine, but someone needed to come -- the toilet smelled, my room was hot, etc...

She quickly sent over Marvan who was as nice as could be. He fixed the disposal and unclogged the toilet but told us not to use the toilet as it was likely to cause a problem again. Yael was aware of the dishwasher from prior to our arrival (Incidentally there were still dirty dishes in there from the last tenants). He didn't know about the dryer and didn't really offer an solutions. He said he would let Yael know.

Later that day that dryer completely stopped working. I called & Yael eventually texted back and said that "the dryer was working when you got there" as if to imply that we broke it. She said she special ordered a new one which would not arrive during our stay and left us no alternative for drying clothes. No clothesline and no alternate location. Nothing.

We chose this property because our trip was long and the use of the laundry facilities was essential. (We moved on to our next location and I'm washing the kids' underwear in the sink and hanging them on the terrace- exactly what I intended to avoid while traveling).

Great location, terrible customer service and property in need of many repairs. Yael never once came by during our visit.

Owner's Response: It's for me the most important, that my guests enjoy their stay and take good memories home. Therefore it's disappointing when I don't meet the expectations of the customer. But let's look at the whole story: We saw about 4 month before arrival, that the check-in was supposed to be on our Holliday Shavuot which is for a kosher apartment not suitable. We reacted emmediatelly in suggesting 2 additional nights without any further payment, what the tenant refused although staying already in the country. The earlier arrival would have enabled me to make the checkin personally - and like this all the questions of the tenant would have been answered on the spot. As the tenant mentioned the Aircondition worked perfectly and so did the dryer at checkin- one just had to read the short instructions written on the machine. The tenant had within 2h after complaining a service technician at the apartment that explained orally all that was written to every detail in the instruction - and fixed a loose screw of one of the six toilets in the apartment. As the dryer worked before their arrival and we didn't expect it to get broken during the stay, we immediately ordered a new one that will arrive this week pG. For the dishwasher out of order - this is really my fault- we offered right a way to buy disposable dishes - what was rejected by the tenants. As a summary I would like to mention that our guests - as you can see from all the other reviews of 7 years of rentals are really happy and satisfied and I believe will also be totally satisfied in the future - with new and kosher dishes.
