I provide lots of cooking spices, basic cooking supplies: oil, vinegar, condiments, flour, sugar, salt and pepper, tea bags, tin foil, saran wrap, freezer bags, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, laudry detergent, soap and shampoo. I know I hate grabbing all this stuff that I may only use 20% of when there and feel it is a nice added benefit for guests. I have lived on Mount Desert Island for 25 years and am happy to answer any questions about things to do in the area. Also, for music lovers you can listen to your music on your Ipod or Iphone through the stereo system in the house. I have a 40" smart tv in the living room, a 32" smart tv in the downstairs bedroom and a 40" tv upstairs.

  • 5 of 5

We spent the first week of June in this wonderful cozy home. Everything you needed was there. Close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor it was an ideal location. Books to read plenty of space to relax, beautiful outdoor deck. Internet connection available and worked great. plenty of places near by to eat at if you didn't want to go into Bar Harbor...a very quiet place to sit back and enjoy your surroundings

Beautiful home in great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week staying in this lovely home. It was much bigger than we needed for 2 people, but we greatly enjoyed the luxury of being able to spread out and have our own spaces. I particularly loved the office, as I brought work with me. The living room with the cathedral ceiling was a great spot to enjoy morning coffee and look out at the sun shining through the tall pines. We took advantage of the double-wide tub upstairs - what a luxuryI The kitchen was very well equipped - we love to cook when we are on vacation, and we found everything we needed. The layout of the first floor took some getting used to, with the bathroom joining to kitchen to the bedroom, but not a problem once we got accustomed to it.

We very much appreciated the privacy of the house, and its convenient location. Even though the address is in Bar Harbor, the location is about equal distance between the villages of Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor, so we had easy access to both sides of the Island. We loved the convenience of the market down the road, and we happily discovered the Atlantic Brewery with its free tasting room right across the road from the market. All in all, one of our best Acadia experiences yet.

Great Home Base to Explore and Enjoy the Mount Desert Island

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia. This home is clean, spacious, and in a very quiet/private area. You have an enjoyable home to kick back for the day or a location that is only 10-20 minutes way from Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and locations on the "quiet" side of the island. We loved having morning coffee on the deck while being entertained by birds, squirrels, and even a deer. Lynn provided a wealth of information on the area and we loved little details like beach chairs which we kept in the car for the week as we set out on adventures.
