I provide just about any cooking spice you would want, basic cooking supplies: oil, vinegar, condiments, flour, sugar, salt and pepper, coffee beans, tea bags, tin foil, saran wrap, freezer bags, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, laudry detergent, soap and shampoo. I know I hate grabbing all this stuff that I may only use 20% of when there and feel it is a nice added benefit for guests. I have lived on Mount Desert Island for 25 years and am happy to answer any questions about things to do in the area. Also, for music lovers you can listen to your music on your Ipod or Iphone through the stereo system in the house.

Great Home Base to Explore and Enjoy the Mount Desert Island

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia. This home is clean, spacious, and in a very quiet/private area. You have an enjoyable home to kick back for the day or a location that is only 10-20 minutes way from Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and locations on the "quiet" side of the island. We loved having morning coffee on the deck while being entertained by birds, squirrels, and even a deer. Lynn provided a wealth of information on the area and we loved little details like beach chairs which we kept in the car for the week as we set out on adventures.

Great location, great house!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough good things about this house and the owner. Very accommodating and quick replies to all of my questions. I bring my family to MDI every year and I'll be looking for this house again in the coming years!

The perfect place to spend a week on Mount Desert Island

  • 5 of 5

The house and the location were great. Nestled into the woods on a side street off the main access road to MDI, it was both private and convenient. We were 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and a little less to Southwest Harbor. The house itself was lovely, with high ceilings in the living and dining areas and a very spacious bedroom upstairs. There's a very nice deck with flowers, and an office area for laptops and phone charging. It has everything you need, including a washer and dryer. As advertised, the kitchen had a great selection of spices, etc. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful rural vacation home

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. Really a quiet secluded location just minutes to access Acadia National Park. There was a list of possible restrauants which we tried a few plus some of our old favorites. The weather was outstanding which mas our visit even more enjoyable. Bar Harbor is a short drive away and we made a couple trips for some Jordan's blueberry pancakes! The home was very clean and well stocked. We also enjoyed moonrise with a full moon through the two story magnificent paladin window. Thanks for the memories!
