Guestbook comments from the manager

Hi Mary,

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful experience of being at your cabin during Christmas. Just as it was two years ago, everything was perfect. We've rented several cabins at Crestone over the last 20 years, and yours is by far the best. We had a fantastic Christmas there and only wish we could have stayed longer. I've been going to Crestone since 1960 (just a week after I was born)!! The town has changed but it still has incredible appeal. Those mountains truly do emanate something magical. I feel more at home in Crestone than anywhere in the world.

Everything at the house seemed in perfect order. I did note that the little Buddha under which I think you have placed the back-up key was knocked over. Since we accessed the main key we didn't dig through the snow to see if the other key was there, but you may want to have your caretaker verify.

Thanks again. We hope to visit Crestone again sometime next year, and hopefully the fantastic Willow House will be available.

Wonderful Place - Unfortunately not ideal for a bigger group

  • 4 of 5

We had a marvelous stay at the house. The garden is wonderful especially if you come with smaller kids. It is fenced in. The kitchen is beautiful and we were able to comfortably sit with 7 people. I think this house is ideal if you travel with a family of 4 or less though. There is not much privacy inside the house. None of the bedrooms have doors and the downstairs bedroom only accommodates one person plus it is not suited for smaller kids (2 years or younger). The stair case leading downstairs is very steep and narrow. We were 7 guests, two adults slept in the living room on the pull out couch (which is right next to the bathroom), so zero privacy for them.

Thank you.

Owner's Response: We are grateful for each and every guest who chooses our property. The house is a mountain cabin and true to the reviewer does not have typical privacy. The master bedroom (which has a queen bed and double futon sofa) is large and is the upper story of the house so a door is unnecessary. The basement access is a safe and beautiful spiral staircase leading to a rec room with a double futon sofa. This room is also the size of the large master bedroom which 20 x 20.The queen sofa in the living room is conveniently located next to the bathroom. This sleeping arrangement would probably be best suited for the early birds of the group. Additionally, the house has a third story cupola for sleeping a single person. Our house has annually accommodated a private high school group of 10, which is a little tight, but the space easily accommodates groups up to 7.

Perfect Magical Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this place. Unique beautiful house. Perfectly secluded, yet close to everything location. What we loved most was the bedroom and the meditation room with amazing views and high energy. And of course, the spacious lovely kitchen and dining room. Our 2 kitty babies enjoyed the house so much, too. Smooth and nice communication with the owners Mary & Tim, and we even got to meet them at the Energy Fest! We highly recommend this vacation rental - telling our friends, and hoping to come back some day. Thank you. G & T, Chicago

words cannot describe... Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

This place was incredible. The house was situated on a secluded lot with a beautiful stream running in the back yard down a mountain path. The home itself was lovingly decorated, with many hidden treasures tucked here and there. At the top is a meditation room where we spent a lot of time viewing the valley and mountain top. We spent a memorable morning watching the sun rise over the mountains. The home has a well equipped kitchen and bath. The bed was comfortable, and the garden was lovely. The owners were friendly and responsive. We will most definitely be back. It was magical.
