More than expected

  • 5 of 5

Very clean, which is always my main concern. And everything worked, which is my second concern. The cottage was a bit nicer than I expected from the write-up and photos. An ideal cabin in the woods--nothing but trees visible from the back deck. The owner is near by, but very considerate of renters' privacy. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage; I came back to the VRBO site to book another week in the Fall, but alas it is not available.

Last minute trip was wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Blackberry Cottage this weekend (11/1-11/3) it was absolutely wonderful. The owners were very accommodating as we made a last minute reservation and drove up from Charlotte. We had a wonderful time at this cabin and our dogs felt completely at home here. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the Asheville area. Thanks again!

A Little Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Since our last stay at Blackberry Cottage the owners had added a wrap around deck. It was wonderful! As a writer, I found the quiet space a treasure. The owners home is directly up the hill but you'd never know it. Nice woodsy view (perfect with a cup of coffee!) await on the back deck. The cabin itself is very clean and neat. Duane and his wife made us feel right at home. We can't wait to return!

Quiet and Relaxing Cottage in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We had a two night stay at the Blackberry Cottage and hated to leave at the end of the second day. My wife, her mother and our two Scotties had a great time at the cottage. The location to the town of Saluda is excellent. The cottage is well furnished and is very comfortable and quiet. While the owners are near by, you would not know they are there. There was plenty of areas to exercise the dogs. We plan to stay here again.

Quiet, cozy, cabin in the wood.....

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every minute of our long weekend at the Blackberry Cabin. The owners thought of everything that we might need and then soom. The full kitchen was well stocked with every dish and utensil needed. The beds were soft, warm and comfortable. We rarely turned on the TV, but when we did, great reception. David did not want to miss the race! This area of heaven is so quiet, we would stop several times during the day and say "Listen". Quiet. Lovely! We were walking distance to downtown and were able to enjoy the weekend Arts Festival and several local restaurants. Everyone in town was so nice and happy to see us out and spending our time and money. We have been telling all our friends about the beautiful cabin and the lovely area of Saluda, and that we will be coming back to the "cozy cabin in the wood....."
