This convenient townhome is one of our closest units to ski runs and was completely updated in November of 2015. Located in the famous "front row" of the Cedars, guests can put their equipment on and easily access the Quicksilver Lift on Peak 9 from their front door. The condo offers a two-level floorplan complete with new living room furniture and flatscreen. Other unit amenities include a gas-burning fireplace, washer/dryer, a sunny deck, Wi-Fi, one-car garage and beautiful mountain furnishings. Guests will also have access to the newly renovated Upper Village pool & hot tub area just across the street. Larger SUVs/cars may not fit in the garage. If this is the case, off-site parking may be required. This may involve extra fees in some cases.

Nice place close to town

March 2018 Stay

Hard to top this stay! From classy updates to cleanliness to literal ski in/out...this was a fantastic destination for our family. The layout (though many steps) provides separate spaces for night owls and early birds to enjoy without disrupting others. Updates were fresh & elegant. The space was large yet also cozy. Half bath on kitchen level very convenient. Warmed garage of our own very appreciated. Staff at Great Western is a big part of why we chose this unit. If you're looking for convenience, attn. to detail, cleanliness, upgrades & space with that Colorado charm - Cedars 3 is certainly it!!

Perfect location! But, be advised...

Positives: If you are looking for a townhome within walking distance to town with some outdoor green space, this place is perfect! You are so close to everything but feel secluded at the same time. Our kids were able to play in the grass off the patio and loved dipping their toes in the stream. The home is very nice, clean, comfortable, and well appointed.

Negatives: There are LOTS of stairs. We have a newly walking one year old, and when we originally reserved the home, I specifically asked about stairs and said we would need a baby gate for a multilevel unit. To which, Great Western said Cedars 3 was "a good fit for our family" that "ticked just about every box on your wishlist" but that we would need to "consider renting a baby gate or two" because it was split between 2 levels. I took this as gates would not be a problem. First, Cedars 3 is not just 2 levels, rather 3-4... there are stairs down to a garage from the living room, up from the living room to the kitchen, a few stairs up from the kitchen to the half bath, and a long staircase from the half bath landing up to the bedrooms, for a grand total of 4 stairways. When I went to rent the gates, I noticed the stairrail in a picture, so I sent another email asking how gates had worked in the past... to which the response was, "Unfortunately, we do not have any previous experience with baby-proofing in Cedars 3." Warning: A baby gate, "or two," will not work in this unit, and it was a huge pain to keep our little one off the multiple stairways. I felt just a little deceived in the wining and dining initial process, because we would have probably gone with another unit had we known from the beginning that baby gates would not work.

And, expect to pay for every. little. thing. Which is also a management issue more than a townhome issue. When we have rented in Colorado in the past, one pack and play, cleaning service for longer stays, access to a grill, etc were all included. We stayed 10 days this trip, and we had to pay $80 for a pack and play, $40 for one towel and trash (only) service, and $80 for a grill (which we declined). We have two small children, and we only have ever had to rent the second pack and play in the past. I also think there should be a maximum number of days (4-5) before a full cleaning service is included. When we did call the office for extra paper towels and toilet paper, the staff was always very responsive, so this is a policy problem, not a staffing issue.

Cedars 3 far exceeded what we were expecting. The bedrooms were both "master" bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The kitchen was beautiful and the cabinets had every utensil needed , as well as all the pots and pans you'd ever need.

It literally a stone's throw from the chairlift (great during the winter) and a 5 minute walk to Main Street.

As a previous review mentioned, fans are necessary in the bedrooms during the summer. I called the GW office and they delivered a fan and extra towels... since we didn't see the extra towels in the closet.

We used the pool and jacuzzi which was a two minute walk across the street.

I highly recommend this unit for summer or winter. An incredible lodging value considering how much hotels cost.

Very nice property.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cedars 3. The unit was very clean and had just about everything we needed. The only suggestion I would make would be for fans--whether ceiling fans or standing ones. The downstairs cooled off significantly by opening the patio doors, but we could not cool off the master bedroom (this is the first week of June). The view in the photo taken from the master bedroom patio is accurate from that specific angle, but the straight on view is of another complex and the ski lift. We found that a bit misleading as we had expected to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view. It is, however, a lovely property with a little creek outside and a lot of trees. We would definitely stay here again.
