You have discovered an absolutely breathtaking 9th floor interior corner unit at the gorgeous Honua Kai Beach Resort. Our luxurious approx. 1300 sq. ft., 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom residence condominium offers all the amenities you could ever wish for. Ours is a unique, extremely spacious floor plan, and is one of only four units in the entire property with this design. When you step off the elevator on the 9th floor and walk down the hallway to our condo, you feel as if you have your own private wing. We enjoy spectacular views, with the isle of Lanai as the centerpiece. You can even see Black Rock, the iconic cliff that separates Kaanapali's two sandy beaches. Your dream vacation is waiting for you!

Honua Kai is the first beachfront property built on Maui in over 20 years. When you walk around the impeccably landscaped grounds, the warm, tropical breeze envelops you, and you melt into total relaxation. The resort is upscale and very elegant, yet is comfortable and children friendly. The three spectacular swimming pools each have a unique feel, and all are surrounded by modern lounge chairs and striking red umbrellas. The formal pool near the Hokulani tower is a gorgeous infinity pool, featuring two hot tubs and a perfect ocean view. The Ohana Pool near the Konea tower has a 120 foot waterslide and a waterfall that cascades into the main swimming area. Natural lava rock forms an elevated hot tub. Attached to the main pool is a shallow 'keiki' pool for kids, complete with a sandy beach. The River Pool features a meandering river, flowing through smaller swimming holes and waterfalls.

Viking gas grills are located near the pool areas. It's amazing to be barbequing while looking out at the crystal blue ocean! If you want a break from cooking, visit the famous Duke's Restaurant, on the front of the property. Duke's open-air bar and restaurant offers delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can sit inside or beachfront under umbrellas. While dining in the evenings, you experience the sounds of soothing live Hawaiian music.

An upscale, gourmet deli, coffee, and sundries shop, called 'Aina Market,' is located in the Honua Kai lobby. Renowned Maui chef James McDonald of the Pacific'O restaurant group, is contributing his talents to the cuisine at 'Aina.' You can order delicious coffees, baked goods, and sandwiches. It's also a great place to purchase local Hawaiian foods and household items.

Our condo includes all the amenities you would expect from a five star resort. The upscale furnishings are extremely welcoming and comfortable. The full kitchen features granite countertops, Bosch appliances, travertine floor, and sparkling cafe lights. There is an in-house washer and dryer, nine-foot ceilings with crown molding, three flat screen TVs, a blue-ray DVD player, and air conditioning. Our favorite feature is the 'fold-a-way' glass wall, which completely opens up to the lanai, for a wonderful indoor/outdoor living area. Our placement in the inner courtyard is perfect, as we are protected from the trade winds. Most two bedroom units look directly at each other, whereas ours is on the 9th floor, angled toward the ocean and overlooking the property, not at another unit.

Our personal property manager, Kaanapali Beach Properties, will greet you in the lobby upon your arrival, will escort you to the unit, and will be available for your questions throughout your stay. Their offices are directly across the street, as well as a shopping center that includes the Times Supermarket, Subway, a video/DVD rental store, a pizza shop, and a coffee shop.

You have complete beach access at the property, with spectacular snorkeling and swimming. Or you can sit on the white sandy beach under a palm tree, and doze while listening to the waves lap on the shore. Honua Kai's location allows for easy access to snorkeling, surfing, boating, whale watching, golf, tennis, and shopping. You can take a long, leisurely walk to scenic Black Rock and Whaler's Village for additional shopping and dining. Welcome to paradise!

The resort charges all guests a $15/day parking fee.

Great Maui Condo

We just finished a stay at the Honua Kai and couldn't have been happier with the condo. Jeni was easy to work with. The condo had a great view. There was lots of room and everything was in great condition. We stayed in the Kaanapali Alii 3 years ago and we liked this individual unit better although we liked the location of the Alii better due to its beach location. Highly recommend this unit.

Our Favorite Maui Stay

We stayed here for a few days over our 3rd anniversary & then moved on to another location & we were sad we didn't book our entire time in Maui at HK #933. It was super clean, great view, great service, great amennities & well stocked with beach towels, chairs, boards, etc... We had missed our flight (due to horrible traffic from a wreck) & arrived a day late but the owners were willing to work with us - so nice! We look forward to staying here again!

Honua Kai 933 is a great place to stay

Our family of 4 recently stayed here for 10 days and we had a great time. The unit is amazing and has everything you need from cutlery to towels to stuff for the beach for both kids and adults. The kitchen and washer & dryer came in very handy as well. The unit itself is private as we barely heard anybody on our floor. Jeni and Al are amazing to deal with as they answered every question we had in a very timely manner. They even arranged it so we could order stuff from Amazon for the kids directly to their property manager that is located right across the street. We arrived late at night so we had to pick up the key from the property manager's office and there was no staff at the hotel at the late hour which was a bit odd. There is a market in the lobby that is reasonable but there is also a Times Market right across the street where you can pick up groceries. There is a market in the other tower as well that has better coffee for some reason. That said, the coffee in the room was very good. The resort itself is awesome with lots of pools, a nice kids area with sand and a pool plus Dukes which has a great kids menu as well. There is a short walk to the beach and the Westin is very close as well that has a nice outdoor sports bar. There is some construction going on but nobody seemed to be bothered by it. I would not hesitate to stay here again next time we visit Maui!

Great Maui Condo

Condo well equipped, Good towels, basic beach essentials, and basic kitchen and bath supplies to get started. Clean unit and great floor plan. Deck is smaller than most 2 bedroom units, but it does seem to be more private than other decks. Elevators are quick and efficient, parking is easy, and 2 of 3 pools are heated, New supplies store and cafe in lobby now open, which is handy. If we returned as a family of four to the Honua Kai, i would definatley look at this specific condo. Dealing with Jeni was great. Thanks and hope to be back soon.

Amazing Maui Experience!

A wonderful experience! The condo was our home away from home and helped make our vacation that much better. We had everything we needed, including beach essentials, loved having the beach chairs there to grab and go. The four of us had plenty of room, never felt crowded in the condo and the room was super quiet. I don't know if it's the location of the room itself, but I think it's the first place I've ever stayed where it was like we had our own private floor, it was so quiet and private. The condo was very clean and comfortable, it was exactly what we were looking for in a rental. The Honua Kai itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We spent one day at the "lazy river" pool and it never felt crowded. We found four chairs together easily and enjoyed our beautiful surroundings. When booking Jeni was so quick to respond and was very thorough and helpful, very pleasant and easy experience. Check-in was quick and simple, we called the property management group as directed upon arrival and she was in the lobby with a smile. It was our first trip to Maui and I certainly hope it's not our last, I feel in love! If we return as a group of 4 I would, without a second thought, book this condo again from Jeni and Al. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, I cannot wait to return!

wonderful holiday experience

the condo was very well equipped with the essentials including laundry soap and bathroom luxuries.

The towels were big and soft.

The beach equipment was all that was necessary.

The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use.

The whole place was very clean and comfortable.

it is a complement to say it was just like being at home!

The location is ideal and made for a wonderful relaxing stay.

I would recommend it to others. Go stay there!!
