The Fairway Villa is located at the corner of Ala Wai Boulevard and Wailani Street, just 2 blocks from the world famous Waikiki Beach. The building offers 365 condos on 29 floors. My condo is located on the 23rd floor. I recently renovated the condo completely and am excited to offer it to my future guest. As indicated from my photos, the condo is tastefully furnished with all the comforts of home.

The condo is air conditioned, offers basic cable TV on a 32' Plasma TV, FREE wireless internet, FREE long distance including the mainland US and Canada as well as FREE parking. The condo has a washer and dryer also, and tub and shower both in the bathroom. The refrigerator offers an ice maker and all appliances are new as of October 2010.

The roof top offers a pool, sauna and jacuzzi. There is also a bbq are on the roof as well for guest to enjoy. Amazing view of the Ocean and the Mountain and City view.

The Fairway Villa is a secure building with 24 hour security. We are just minutes from shopping, the International Marketplace, restaurants as well as other tourist attractions in Waikiki. We are 1 block from the city bus stop which will take you anywhere on the island.

The Fairway Villa is a smoke free building.

Why Budi Staven chose South Oahu

I enjoy this end of Waikiki as it's easy access in and out of Waikiki. Being at the corner of Ala Wai Boulevard and Walina Street, the condo has a nice breeze from the mountains. I specifically chose this unit as it has a beautiful view of the mountains, the canal, Diamond head and ocean view as well. The unit is located on the quiet side of 23rd floor and I am excited to offer this condo to my vacation renters so they can enjoy the same features as I do.

What makes this condo unique

1. Location...location...location !!! Walking distance to Waikiki beach, shopping area, night life/club/bar, restaurants, groceries store/Foodland, bus stops, etc. 2. Newly renovated and refurnished unit with modern and comfortable amenities. 3. Free Internet, Free local and long distance to mainland USA and Canada, Free Parking.

We loved it. The condo was very clean, comfortable and centrally located.

The property as a whole was fantastic. Love the rooftop pool. The 24/7 security of the building is a real plus too. We are already planning our stay for next year and we can't wait.

great Apartment with all what we need

Apartment in 23th floor with amazing view over city and to the ocean. Very importand goody is the parking lot, nice beach chairs, fast Internet and a complete equipped kitchen. Supermarket is on next corner. Great also washer and dryer. Could be a little more space for the luggage. Only 5min to Waikiki Beach. Would book it definetly again.

Great location in Waikiki

We really enjoyed this condo. It was clean, centrally located, in a well kept building and having a dedicated parking was much appreciated. Although it was a studio, it had a comfortable queen size bed and a couch to watch TV. The WIFI network was very fast and the phone provided free calls to Canada and the US. Budi was there to greet us and provide us with all the required information. The beach was less than 10 minutes away. Shopping and restaurants were around the corner. It was perfect for the two of us. We highly recommend this unit for a stay in Waikiki.

Amazing Value

Many of our Waikiki friends visiting us at this condo have complimented us on our lovely studio, the excellent facility and amenities. Parking, long distance calls, in suite w&d, wifi, heated pool, hot tub, bbqs--all in--PLUS proximity to the beach, golf, restaurants and shopping make this a top notch vacation property. Security in the building is excellent and the building is well maintained. The manager, Budi Staven, is professional, prompt and attentive. This rental unit is truly a gem. We are returning guests and we will be back!

Great place to stay in Oahu

We have stayed at Budi's condo numerous times and found him very friendly and helpful when we needed him. The condo is always very clean with everything one could need. We enjoy the view from the lanai and the amenities on the upper deck. We love that the building is very secure and staff friendly. Looking forward to going back again next year.

Poor substitution for original reservation.

We reserved this unit 10 months in advance for a five night stay in Honolulu/Waikiki (12/24-28/2016). As the reservation stated on 2/25/2016: "Please call me or email me if there is a change in your travel plan. Cancellation fee is $75 and if the cancellation is made within 6 weeks of arrival, there will be a 2 nights minimum charge. I will send you a follow up email or call few weeks before your arrival date to reconfirm your reservation." I received no follow-up email or phone call, nor word that an overbooking existed until I confirmed the reservation via email while in Maui the day before we were to arrive at this rental on the 24th. At that time Budi informed me there was a problem: somehow our reservation was overridden by another reservation and therefore we could not stay at this chosen rental, but no need to worry as he had secured a similar unit a few blocks away with same view. Unfortunately, if we had seen pictures of the unit Budi had secured for us we would have not accepted it. True, it was situated with a view, clean, and with some amenities of the originally reserved unit, but not one we would have reserved for ourselves for various reasons. It's ironic customers must abide by the rental agreement or have cancellation charges levied, but not the owner/manager. I would think this kind of error by management should result in at least a two night refund. Good thing I followed my standard travel practice and confirmed my reservation or we would have had no place to stay upon arrival. Secondly, paying in such a large amount of cash or incur a 3% credit card fee, in this day and age, seems an old practice. There are various ways to exchange currency rather than cash in such large sums; Paypal for instance. At any rate we held up our end of the agreement. Finally, the original agreement said Budi would be there to meet us upon arrival, however he was out of town until the late the 27th, so cash did not change hands until our 4th day in the rental unit. If one wants to rent from this property please be aware problems could arise. We are reasonable, experienced travelers both nationally and internationally, but have never had an experience quite like this.

Owner's Response: Thank you Fred for your review. Again, I apologize for the unfortunate double booking situation that happened to your reservation. Double booking happens in this industry and honestly that was my first since we operated years ago. We did take necessary best action we could as soon as the problem was discovered. Since none of our properties is available to do room change for you, we had to look for a nearby hotel accommodation for you and we did at Island Colony Aqua Skyline Hotel. We called and notified you right away and per our conversation you agreed to that. Since that was a hotel, we DO NOT have any control to which room they will assign you. I had put request for high floor and view. The hotel reservation said room assignment will be given only when guests arrive at the front desk for check in. I believe that what we did was the best option possible at that time. We substitute your room with an upgraded room at a Hotel with daily services and more amenities. Also this hotel room cost us more than what we collected from you as the hotel rate was much higher than our vacation rental rate. We absorbed the price difference as we understand that it was our mistake to have a double booking . Secondly, we do not have paypal payment account but we do have direct payment option through vrbo/home away that you or any traveler can choose if they do not prefer cash, check or credit card payment. However, we will certainly consider adding PayPal account as you suggested. Lastly, we manage several condos in Waikiki and I do meet and greet our guests as time permitted . We also include a self check in instruction in our confirmation email just in case I am not able to meet our guests as they arrived at the condo. I apologized that I was actually out of town on your arrival day but per our conversation, we did agree to meet on the fourth night as that was the most convenient time for you both. And if I may add, when we finally met in the last night before you checked out, you addressed your dislikes about the hotel room. I wished you address that sooner and perhaps we could try to remedy that as well. Like you, I also travel a lot domestically and internationally and I stay in both hotel or vacation rental , as a vacation rental manager , I believe what we did to remedy the double booking situation with you was the best solution option we had at that time. We certainly will tighten up our booking system so this won't happen again. Thank you.
